Hmm...do you think maybe we could trim down the morphing time? I know it's canon, but...2 or 3 minutes to morph?

If we were trapped in a room and the yeerks were 'draconing' the doors, they would need less than one minute to get in. Frankly, it escapes me why K.A. decided to have the morphing process take 2 minutes throughout the series.

Because I think watching changes appen made more of a disturbing image of horror than a sucking noise a puff of smoke and an animal in childs clothing suddenly appearing.

I agree that maybe a minute would be better. Three minutes for first morph but you get better at it.

I really can't think of any possible way to get better at something like morphing. It's a talent.

     In the last few books, the kids are pretty much pros at morphing. They mention being able to do it quicker, and being able to morph jeans. When David and the Auxiliaries join up, the Animorphs mention how they "weren't as fast" at morphing [than the original group].

Wow. I can't think of any way to explain that, but it's logical to me. With practice, you begin to focus on the animal better, and so can morph better.
