Ax in the end
« on: August 08, 2008, 10:30:49 AM »
Did Ax ever get back together with Estrid, or was K.A. trying to ruin another romance?

I think Estrid was dumped in the same box as Loren and Nora. No one knows what happened, because they aren't mentioned. Tying up loose ends with the "ending" was not something KA was concerned with.

Which may be why the ending seemed so inconclusive and frustrating.  It didn't seem like she thought it out all that well (like she hurried through it).

As to Ax and Estrid, I'd just assume they didn't end up happily ever after.

Hear, hear!

Anyway, it doesn't really matter what happened with Estrid afterwards. She wasn't that important. Myabe they did hook up, maybe they didn't. Who knows? Like I said, doesn't matter.

This great evil - where's it come from?
How'd it steal into the world?
What seed, what root did it grow from?
Who's doing this?
Who's killing us, robbing us of life and light, mocking us with the sight of what we mighta known?
Does our ruin benefit the earth, aid the grass to grow and the sun to shine?  Is this darkness in you, too?  Have you passed through this night?

Ummmn...does nobody remember that Estrid TURNED TRAITORESS AND TRIED TO RELEASE A QUANTUM VIRUS ON EARTH, or was that just a figment of my imagination, like Minnesota?
The universe is, instant by instant, re-created anew. There is, in truth, no Past, only a memory of the Past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. The only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.

The virus had like a 97% chance of not affecting Humans. I don't hold that against her, especially since she wasn't even the mastermind behind the plan anyway.

Hahaha, I kid. But come on, he was also an adolescent male! We know what he was feeling that he would never talk about. :D

Didn't Ax dump her in #38? He may have like her, but in the end he still dumped her didn't he?

You mean the One? Yeah, I didn't like that either, especially since Ax-man is my favourite character.

I was very interested to know what happened when Ax returned to the Andalite homeworld  :-\ but KA didn't put that in book 54 ... so I guess that'll always remain a mystery.

Oh yeah, and Ax did "fake"-dump her, but in the Deception he says something about wanting to have a family with Estrid *aww*  ;D
