Any of the Auxiliaries I mean, these kids pretty much gave their lives for a society that pretty much gave up on them, and how were they repaid? They weren't even mentioned post-war. It's bad enough that they were disabled, but they were also sent to their own deaths by Jake.
2)
Erek He wanted so badly to do something--anything-- to stop the Yeerks, but his programming prevented him from doing so. And, when he finally did change his programming, he found that he couldn't cope with the act of violence. But mostly, I feel sorry for Erek because of what happened in Book 10. The fact that he has to live with the guilt of murdering over two dozen people--multiply that by 2 for the Yeerks in those bodies that were slaughtered-- as a reminder of his part in the war effort.
3)
Loren Not only was she whisked away from her normal life on earth and, thus, exposed to a world far beyond her own comprehension--aliens, invasions, etc-- but just when she gets settled into a new life--a husband, a new born son, and some level of normalcy-- some strange being from outer space just takes away her husband, and erases her memory. And even after Loren gets her sight back, I think she fared pretty badly through the series.
4)
Seerow The poor guy was probably one of the few Andalites in the series who wasn't openly arrogant twenty-four-seven, and gets kicked in the backside just for doing something good. He pitied the Yeerks, tried to teach them his ways, and extended a hand of friendship and his name became a joke for future generations.
5)
Taylor If there is anyone who should be pitied in this series it's Taylor; no matter what choices she made. I can understand why she would willingly give herself over to the Yeerks--she was put in a pretty rough situation and figured that the Yeerks were her only way back to a life of semi-normalcy. But I don't pity Taylor because she temporarily lost her beauty--though, that has something to do with it--but because of what she became after book 33. I mean, she lost a lot more than her looks; she lost her sanity. And she had to live out an existence as psychotic monster.

I also wanted to add that I totally agree with what was said about David. But I disagree, somewhat, about pitying the other Animorphs. I mean, try to imagine the kids without the Yeerk Invasion, what kind of lives would they lead? Tobias gained freedom from the war, Rachel loved the thrill of battle, Marco not only got his mother back, but also became a millionaire after the war ended, Ax became a high ranking soldier in the Andalite military, Cassie ended up doing what she always wanted, and Jake found purpose in his life--no longer needing to live in his brother's shadow. And they get to MORPH! I mean, how freaking cool is that?
