Anyway, hopefully that'll satisfy Jeffrey, but now it'll be hard to find anything Al wouldn't normally do. XD And in almost Salem-like fashion, that vague answer ensures it's unlear whether Jeffrey's powers work on him. (Although normally they don't work on machines....)

"Show me your charge" is the rough equivalent of "Put 'er there, pal," but it actually goes back to what handshakes were originally for: To show the other person you're not holding a weapon. "Show me your charge" is like saying, "My hand isn't on fire right now, so I don't want to attack you."
