Gaz, don't feel bad. Part of the nice bit about the bar is that you can have non-Ani characters. It's just gotten a bit overwhelming, personally, and I have a hard time creating characters that are willing to interact outside the 'verse. With a few exceptions.

I may bring back Aya and Terliss, who I kind of left in limbo at the bar. Terliss, at least, is willing to work with just about anyone.

Or I could bring back Efaen, but..um...I'd have to work some stuff out with Luke first, for that to be plausible.

Or good old Terenia.

You guys tell me. I'm willing to post here. I have the time. I just have been losing interest based on the current speed and panning out of events.

Maybe if you bring Efaen back, and she wants to interact with Claxter, I could do that. I did like their little story there. Though in a year if she's pretty much forgotten about him, then I'd rather not have Claxter run after completely unrequited affections. Not that she was falling over his hooves in "You saved me, I'm yours" fangirliness in the first place, but you know.

I think as far as Efaen is concerned it might be better to bring Terenia back before her, if it's for interaction with Claxter. Just based on what's happened in the past year or so. Also, more plausible.


Yeah, maybe I'll do that....Terenia is always a good standby, and now that Tamora/Zorish are gone I don't have to worry about their timelines intersecting.

I appreciate the sentiment, Parker.  I know that Tara's not leaving because of me.  She knows a few things about me no one else but my mother knows.    We talk.  I was just frustrated by everyone leaving.  Not that I have much room to be frustrated given the month-long hiatus I took a while back.  I had just been under the impression that everyone had lost faith in the place, then not more than a month or two after I come back, and everyone does lose faith.  I just don't want the place to fail, and with so many character-driving forces leaving, I fear GESB limbo is in the future.  It's been declining for a long time, but to lose so many power players is crippling.

I understand that some people might simply stop enjoying roleplay, and it's certainly something you need to enjoy to make it work, otherwise it just ruins it for everyone who's truly committed.  So I hope that they eventually find enjoyment in it again and come back.  I just fear for the bar's fate with their absence.

And I suppose this is sort of a moot point, Jessi, now that you're bringing a char back in, but I've been trying to think of non-verse to 'verse character ratios and by my reckoning, 'verse chars outnumber non-verse chars by a ratio of at least 2:1 unless I'm missing something.

For non-verse, we have Raile and Garreth (quite obviously), Parker, and Gaz's horse-dude.  I've been trying to think of others and I cannot.

For 'verse we had Ossanlin, Rathien, Salem, Serid, Claxter, Zorish/Tamora, Myitt/Tara, Illim, and Al.  I think that's everyone.  9 'verse chars to 4 non-verse.

I might be forgetting someone, idk...but that's my reckoning.  Now if you meant canon chars, that's a different story.

Quite frankly this is by far the longest RP I've ever been in. I've just been feeling a bit of fatigue with it.

Zoshonel is an out 'verse character.

I'm trying to kick a cold, and I may post soon but maybe not. I haven't fully committed a decision.

Doesn't seem like my bringing a character in is helping much, though. *shrugs* Bottom line is that if people aren't posting regularly or interacting with one another, the rp will die. I'm willing and able to check in here at least twice a day, but almost every time I do there haven't been updates in multiple days.

With the slow posting rate, I've lessened my update checking. Normally I check three times. Lately though, I've checked once a day, once every other. Sad to say most of the RPs I'm in seem to be failing. I'm starting to wonder if I could be a catalyst. I certainly hope not as I enjoy these immensely.


T, Garreth is quite near you and said "Revan" rather loudly. It may catch your notice as you know a "Reven" and I'm fairly certain they're pronounced the same.

I think I'd like to come back with one character. I do like Jocun, since he's similar to what Temrash became, which was part of the reason I made him instead of keeping Temrash who had become something he wasn't supposed to be originally.

However I'd also like to continue Claxter's story too. I'm just not sure how far it would go.

Well you could always say that he returns to Ossanlin's ship and keep him there until you figure it out.

I have actually considered that. If/when I do bring him back, I can say he was doing duties on the ship.

Chad, I can't remember if Terenia and Jocun ever interacted or just Tamora and Jocun. Do you?
