Claxter is an Warrior in service to ossanlin, but only recently. He used to belong to another crew where he was promoted simply because they needed more Warriors, rather than because Claxter was qualified to be one. He was a coward, but has mostly developed out of it. He's still not the bravest sort. His former Prince was kind of a "Drill Sergeant Nasty" type who was always hard on everyone, and never satisfied. not that Claxter did a whole lot to be satisfied about. He came to the bar because he fled from a battle that the andalites were losing badly.
Jocun is a high ranking Visser in a post war Empire that has drastically changed due to the Council losing much of their power through the death of many loyal Vissers, and the people not wanting to continue fighting since the Andalite threat had been neutralized. Yeerk/host relationships have improved, and hosts have rights and are generally treated as people. There's a Voluntary Host Movement, which is basically the rebellion except they're not rebels. The Council doesn't have total control. It's been over a hundred years, and no one is alive that personally witnessed the war. Jocun himself is a benevolent Visser that works with both sides (VHM and traditionalists), as he tries to improve the Empire and keep extremists from causing harm. I've considered having him just be Visser One. Why not, right?
