Illim got a 10. "The Anti-Sue. Your character is the very antithesis of a Mary-Sue. Why are you even taking this test?" And what's funny is most of his points came from being a Rebellion member, but he isn't even a part of it yet. XD I'll run Elayne and Tora through when I have time, but it's back to work for now...

I wasn't sure if I should mark rebellion member or not. He is in charge of a group of rebels, though they rarely take open public measures. It's all working from the inside, not launching attacks. And I really can't say with certainty if he'll become affiliated with Reven's group or not.

Scott!  Come up this weekend!  XD

I like that Mary-Sue test, but I don't think the results give a detailed enough explanation of why or why not a character is considered a Mary Sue...it's just all like...it is or it isn't, or it almost is, good work!

A Mary Sue is someone who is unrealistically perfect. Like a hero that never loses a battle, is never wrong about anything, and anyone who disagrees with him/her is always wrong. You can learn more in TV Tropes. That's where I learned about the various Sue archetypes.

Occasionally Mary Sues are also described as those who embody the direct placement of the character writer into the role of the character...althoug h it goes along with what Chad said, the whole infallibility and invincibility of the character.

They call that an author avatar. Placing yourself in a story, and changing the reality of the universe to suit your needs. Like breaking up a canon pairing because you think X person should be paired with another. There's really all kinds of things, but the common idea is that Mary Sues or Marty Stus for males, are annoying and unrealistic.

Is that what they call it these days? ;D
Then Stephen King is guilty of literally placing himself in the Dark Tower series, and meeting his characters.  It can happen to anyone!
So I think, because "Tara" is basically me, that my main character's host is an holdover from when I was 14 that makes her a self-insertion to some degree.  But Myitt herself gets a 9, the Anti-Sue ;D

If you place yourself in a story, it's an author avatar. Though maybe not all author avatars are mary Sues or Marty Stus.

It's a Gary Stu for guys, not a Mary Stu.

XD Sorry. That was bothering me. I'll take the test in a little bit.

Got a 14 "The Non-Sue" for Fiona. ^_^

(Also, I'll post for Carris... just as soon as I think of something to say. :-X)

I tried Carris and got a 9.

Claxter was going to ask who Serid was, but Theta woke up. He should still be confined to the room, but if he was awake, he needed watching. Claxter gave Efaen a communicator so they could keep in touch, assuming she still wanted to help. Right now she seemed involved in a conversation, though he wasn't sure about what.

He went back to the ship. <I have destroyed your ship. There will be no more drones, and no escape. You are cut off.> He said. <If you refuse to cooperate, I will find a way to dismantle you.>

Chad, this post confuses me. I think I missed the part where you were off of the ship. Did Claxter approach Efaen at any point? I thought he was with Theta the whole time.

He left and told her what had happened. I noticed Efaen didn't respond to Claxter, but figured she was just busy talking to Serid.
