Well Mar, who once knew the person he acknowledges as "God" a long time ago, might at least question what the heck Ike actually saw. Although I kind of wonder why Elriss thinks he's anything more than a random crazy. Possibly because he blathers on as if he's talking about the weather, and doesn't seem to be straight with anyone? XD

See...he has the ability to be blunt in the Bar, but he doesn't really know how. >) He's spent that long bull****ting people.

Ok guys, I leave town tomorrow so from here on out my internet access may be spotty. I'm bringing my tablet with me and should have internet at times, but I just don't know how much and when. Since tomorrow is a travel day I'll likely be online at the airports. After that it's anybody's guess.

I'll be back on July 30th. Try not to kill off my character in the meantime. XD

It's weird, man. Reading Salem's story inspired me to go check the old Bar archives. I was a worse writer, but the Bar itself improved my skills over time. Yet even the more recent of the posts before the restart reveal how drastically Mar and I have both changed. We're now busy making cracks about how much of a damn drama queen he was, even though he seems to take offense at that. *Snicker*

~To be fair it was during our attempts at Roleplay, so it was somewhat worse than it naturally is. And much of it was you. We are both different. The inhabitants of the forum grow, and the place grows with them.

8hugs back8 Hopefully I too have improved, and will continue to improve, as I keep roleplaying. That's what's supposed to happen, right? There was a guy that did some artwork for Claxter, and he got better with some other things, but apologized that later work was better than the one he did for me. It's funny to me.

Yeah, I know I've grown as a writer through the Bar, and I can definitely see that you guys have as well ^_^ This is an amazing thing to have together.

I'm getting the idea that the mass that needs to be sacrificed comes from the thing that has hold of Ike. The Bar would keep it from pulling from the greater being, meaning its hold over Ike will diminish unless it seeks power from something else. Meaning the more money he produces, or anything else like that, will make him act a little weirder, and allow people to sense the creature better as it attempts to feed off of their being.

That's what I was figuring. When I attempted to work out how magic would function despite being inexplicable, I figured that it followed the principles of matter and energy conversion. That is, making matter would require a trade of energy---- more energy than the object itself possesses (Thermodynamics). Because of the absurd amount of energy you need for that....that means gods would have to be huge aliens made of an energy Mass.

At best guess, a Highest stuck in the Bar can't access any Mass that isn't already there because they're sitting inside the Bartender's Mass. "Conflict of interest." Which means Ike came in with the One already reaching through. Now...we don't even consistently follow our own system rules in the Bar, but damn do we find it fun to create systems.

By the by, Jessi, if Elriss is too drunk to deal with (she is quite drunk at this point, if you hadn't noticed) let me know, and I can sort of give her sobering-up a nudge. Oy, that did not take her long >.<

Y'know, I don't know how concerned we really need to be with the conservation of mass. This is an Animorphs RP. Conservation of mass has never really been a barrier. "What? She's morphing a whale? But of course, there's simply extra... like, stuff, just hidden away in a magical secret dimension, waiting to be used!"
