Also, I realized it sounded like I was condoning overpowered characters. Totally not the case. I just don't think we need more restrictions than we've always had. Which Parker, as a character, almost definitely violated anyway, but what can you do?

I doubt we need a new thread, unless we are making some genuine changes. If not, the intros and whatnot that we already have serve as perfectly functional for bringing people in.

I agree that Original charies are more fun to develop as long as they arent like Superman. Also Chad if we are gonna reboot GESB someone, probably a MOD will just create a new thread and most likely call it GESB: The Reboot which oddly sounds like a really cool Sci Fi show now that I think about it.

Also I cant exactly start cause I realized that my intro is gonna first need to be finished, then I need to figure out how to summarize it cause right now it is just a wall of text at least 1 to 2 pages long, but first I have to get past the writers block. I am happy this is coming back though because this RP really helped me remember how much I used to love creative writing even though I constantly get writers block, but I blame that on my short attention span.

Lumy says he's coming, so that'll diversify things up a bit. Several others have expressed interest. I don't think we'll get the same kind of high-density traffic, but for our part we do miss doing this a lot.[/] <3

I suppose I can give the GESB a little attention again, but modding the Rogue Element properly does eat up a bit of my time.  Rathien can come back in as long as everyone here understands that Rogue Element is my top priority, and if I only have time for one thread, Rogue Element will be it.  I do hope that the Rogue Element thread will (at the least) remain a priority for others as well.

I wouldn't bring Ossanlin in.  I've tried role-playing Ossanlin in two different RP's at the same time before.  I don't enjoy it, it's confusing, and it destroys any sort of perception of reality that I have in my character.  It cheapens things.  So the Bar Mar wouldn't be able to hang out with his friend for the time being.  I would ask, as a personal favor, for those who have characters in the Rogue Element thread to not bring those characters into the bar if at all possible.  I'm not saying that should be a rule or anything like that, I'm just asking you guys not to do it as a personal request.  I know, they're your characters and you should be able to do with them as you wish.  And that's completely true.  If you want to bring any of those characters in, I'll just try to deal with it as it's no one's problem but my own.  The only reason I ask is that it makes things confusing, trying to keep everything straight as far as what did or didn't happen in which thread at which time.  And, I feel, it destroys suspension of disbelief, which is something I personally treasure in an RP.  But like I said, I'm not going to freak out or anything, I just thought I'd put that out there and let you guys know how I feel.

That being said, it would be somewhat fun to RP Rathien again.  Last I remember, he was trying to seduce Salem in order to salvage some scrap of power in that little messed-up, love-hate (mostly hate) relationship.  XD

XD Those kinds of love-hate relationships seem to occur a lot in relation to our characters. Vague opinions for the win! And I do miss Rathien's acidic, freaky demeanor quite a bit. He introduces a wild card into the system. Bring him in.

As for me...I can swear to that promise for your sake. While I'd prefer to have Joanne and Keshin here in the Bar because of all the chaos they cause, I get that it introduces continuity confusion in your mind. You think of the Roleplays here as existing all at once, in different locations but the same rough "time." *Huggles Luke* :3 That's....actually pretty neat. I tend to think of Roleplays as isolated episodes out of habit----most offline Roleplays never last longer than a week and a half with Meg and me.

GESB Mar will fondly miss his friend, but this gives an opportunity for us to interact with new people, too.

I actually have similar feelings, Luke. I don't intend to bring Claxter to the bar because I'd like a more coherent timeline for him. If he ever returns, it will likely be because the rogues went to the bar, and I'll still be posting for him in that thread.

Alright, I guess it's about time for me to jump back in here. Luke, I absolutely sympathize with the 'alternate versions' issue you have- I think I've got a variation on the same thing. And yes, if I have to choose at this point, Rogue Element is my priority, and Aetheas stays there (barring unforeseen circumstances ). Hopefully I won't have to choose.

I'm not going to bring Salem back immediately, which I'm sure will frustrate Mar and Rathien to some degree. Haha. To keep things interesting, though, my character will know Salem. Probably twice without realizing it.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if there's a reasonable assumption for the name of Earth's Yeerk Pool? Sulp Niar had to be the original pool on the Yeerk homeworld where they picked up most of the initial Yeerks, right? Do we have a running non-canon name for the Animorphs' pool?

Alright, as with everything related to Salem, this new character's background is needlessly complicated. It doesn't help that I have to design the world as I go.

And, in an amusing twist, this character has actually been to the Bar before as well.

I just want to make sure that the GESB does rely on the Multiverse theory, right? Its perfectly acceptable to have an Earth that has no concept of Religion and is completly dedicated to the development of Technology, correct?

Sure. I can totally imagine Humans eventually shrugging off superstition in favor of science. I actually hope this happens in real life.
