The camouflage basically hides energy wavelengths and bends the energy around Rathien in such a manner that no light or sound escapes from the field, but the ambient waves from the other side are bent around the null space to make the wearer disappear. It stops light energy waves (including any infrared and ultraviolet emissions) as well as non-ambient audible pressure waves (selective sound), but does not stop matter. Since scent is generally based on the olfactory deposition and subsequent nervous interpretation of chemical particulates suspended in the air, the camouflage would not block scent. Matter is allowed to circulate freely within the field (otherwise it would be impossible to breathe for long without a self-contained oxygen source, it might also be impossible to move at all under such circumstances). There would be multitudes of difficulties if matter were blocked, or if pressure waves were not blocked selectively. Ambient pressure waves are allowed through the field freely. (This means wind is allowed to blow into and out of the camouflaged space without hindrance aside from the removal of infrared light energy added by the body of the wearer.) Of course that means that the scent of the wearer could be carried on the wind, though most species would not have a sense of smell powerful enough to pick up Rathien...consequen
tly most species do not have sensory equipment that can pick up Rathien's miniscule scent either. But I would assume that your Dragon species has quite a keen sense of smell and would probably be able to pick up a little something of it if Rathien were close enough.
