'Cuz you'd be the only one with a traditional family. Lucky... I've noticed that we all like big cats! Not that there's a problem with that; the military issues the same gun to every soldier, so why couldn't we all have the same weapons, too?
Anyways, about your plot idea: It's reasonable. I think that Josefina was being rather careful when she went into the stall, but maybe you noticed that a different woman walked out? I'd definitely tail someone like that for a while, and try to figure out what the heck just happened. I guess there could be Controllers there... (Tony, you got an outpost in Galveston?); the island is just off the Texas coast, and it's fifty miles away from Houston, so that's doable. It would mean that the Texas Invasion is getting pretty large. (Remember, this is about the same time as book 1.) Not that I want to discourage you from jumping in by any means, maybe you could be involved like Olivia is... she doesn't know what's going on yet, but she'll be sucked in eventually.
