((Um... why did the charging bear end up going in circles???))
Brian finished the morph to fly, but even his newly-formed insect body was exhausted. He just wanted to sit there.... but with his luck today, he'd get stepped on. Wearily he buzzed through the night air, making a zig-zagged path back to his car. It took what seemed like forever.... By the time he got in the car, the radio-clock said it was 12:25 AM. Great... he thought. He demorphed and drove home, about as alert and conscious as the truck driver from earlier that evening. Did the morphing affect the others like this, or was it just him? They hadn't had to morph so much so quick before, at least not as far as he knew....
He got to his street and parked his car at the end of the driveway. He'd move it early in the morning, if he even woke up while it was still morning. If it wasn't for the search tomorrow, I'd just sleep till dinner. Brian had always thought it was an exaggeration when people say they were asleep before they hit the bed. Yet that's exactly what he did...
------------------------------- (It is now Sunday)------------------------------------------------
"Brian? Are you not feeling well, son?" It was his mom, checking on him since he only ever slept till eleven when he was sick or something.
"No, I'm fine Mom." he said rubbing his eyes. "I just didn't sleep well, I guess..."[/color]
Sean woke up with his alarm at eight-thirty the next morning. He hoped his alarm hadn't woken everyone up. He figured a good thing of them all being together was that they could all talk still. And safely. Tarrade was already awake. "Hello Tarry..." he said.
<Hello, Sean. I hope your rest was peaceful.>
"Meh... I guess so. I'm not used to getting to sleep that late at night, though..."
<Ah. So that is why you do not awaken with the rising sun?>
"...Um. Yeah, actually. I usually wake up a lot earlier so that I can go to work." Sean began putting around in the kitchen, making more noise than he meant to be. He was a little surprised when he looked over the counter and saw that Chad was still there. "That means that you'll be here by yourself for most of tomorrow. Don't worry, I'll leave the window open."
<I would be grateful. What is your role in the workforce?>
"I'm an Architect... well, a Draftsman, really. Almost the same, but I like this work better."
<Human architecture is most interesting. There is such a variety of structures visible just from the window of this room. Tell me, what is the purpose of the bright yellow arches at night?>
Sean laughed, "That's just a sign, so that people know that there's a McDonald's there."
<I see.> Tarry said. After a moment or so he continued. <Andalite architecture is not nearly as diverse as this one town's is. Though it certainly is well more advanced.> "Squack!!!!" <I very nearly decided to pursue the Sciences as my career....>
Before they could continue, someone woke up.
