The Yeerks have found out who she is and are trying to bring her name to the mud for losing their 'campaign' on Earth. HOW CAN THIS POSSIBLY BE TRUE??
She stuffs ALL OF HER SERIES with characters with backgrounds and complexions of all sorts. At no point did I ever feel Cassie was disadvantaged. The person/Yeerk/Controller might be confusing Cassie for a weak character and chose a not very glorifying way to expressing indignity, not realizing that Cassie's anti-violent, tree-hugging, sentimental, sub-temporaly grounded self makes her one of the strongest characters, who has accomplished so much!

Yeah, I always considered hawk a pretty lame battle morph.  Great in a lot of respects, but can a red-tailed hawk kill or do serious damage to a Hork-Bajir??

But I have to say that it's ridiculous (sp?) how many people label things racist or satanic without so much as the flemsiest (sp?) evidence.  I know I shouldn't rise to this, but it isn't just Animorphs getting painted with this brush.  Harry Potter, Pokemon, and probably more that I can't think of at the moment.  It's like these people have nothing better to do than start up a faux controversy.

Whenever certain people have a problem with something (which this person clearly does) they play a discrimination card (race, religious, other) of some kind.  It's just a way of marginalizing something other people love but they can't understand.  Other people just need an enemy (i.e. overly zealous religious people).  If something isn't always ruining society what can you blame?
