"I wonder if everyone would still like me so much if I hadn't died."

Or do you mean whilst still in character?

"I wonder if everyone would still like me so much if I hadn't died."

Heh heh!

I always assumed it was something like, "I wondered if it had been enough." re: being brave and strong vs saving the world.

Perhaps she was about to wonder if there was anything after death. Although, Rachel kinda strikes me as an atheist.

I'm pretty sure she never intended to complete that sentence.  There are too many things to wonder.  Why try limiting them all with words?

Anyone read R. Scott Bakker?  Getting down to just the beginning of the sentence where almost everything can be described by "the"?

Sorry, that'll make no sense if you haven't read the book.  I really liked it though ^_^

That's usually what I assume she was going to say. It's never said she was atheist, but even if she was it doesn't mean she wouldn't wonder what death was going to mean for her. I think the series in general implied that either there was no afterlife, or if there was then not even the Ellimist knew about it.

Very true, I think it was left openly on purpose for that  reason.

I know the issue was left out of the books, but I wonder if any of the Animorphs were religious. Maybe Jake and Rachel were raised with a 'church on sundays' upbringing (this is my limited British stereotype of 'all-American families' being put in practice here!). In an alternate world where a tv adaption is made, it would be interesting to see them deal with that a little. Morphing just after saying goodbye to the pastor? :p

Well I believe that at least part of Jake and Rachel's family were Jewish and Ax says in #8 that Jake's family say grace before dinner.

Aha! (you guys; totally superior knowledge of the books than me!) I wonder how they reconciled their upbringing with the war, then.

Heh heh.. Guess it was just me that automatically assumes everyone's religious, then? :P Where do you get the Jewishness from? And yeah, church on Sundays is kind of the basis of American-Christian-Society. :dull: (hereafter known as the ACS, 'cuz I likez it. :P)

It never says any of them attended church and none of their parents seemed religious. Also Jake never mentions saying grace in any of his books, so maybe KA changed her mind on that one?

lol, thanks Red, I have my moments. :)

I feel like I should be re-re-Reading the books or at least carrying them around with me everywhere, y'all are impressive!

Also, Phoenix, not trying to hijack this thread but my iPhone is rubbish for message boards.. I was reading the member profiles, and do you work at Chester Zoo? If so, that's amazing. You basically work at The Gardens :p

For the Jewishness, Rachel says her dad is Jewish in one of the books. Somehow the Holocaust is brought up and she gets pretty fired up while explaining it to Ax.

Thanks Red, although I think you might be slightly exaggerating how brilliant I am, lol. I do have a good memory for things I'm interested in though. I haven't re-read them in a long time (except for Andalite Chronicles which I read last year) but I've been meaning to.

Chester Zoo? I wish! That place is awesome! I mean I'd probably get lost if I worked there, but yeah I'd love to work at a big zoo like it someday. The place I work at is much smaller and we don't have any big animals sadly. Feel free to PM me or post in http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=2999.0 if you want to ask anything else.

Anyway, I think there was a topic around here somewhere... :P

Eva sang in the church choir, according to #5.
