Hello there
« on: July 30, 2010, 01:53:46 PM »
Hello names phenom64. No not the computer processer, phenom is the nickname of the my favorite wrestler and 64 is for Starfox64, my favorite video game.

Well I started reading Animorphs just before it ended, and thanks to this site I can finish the series and learn about the re-releases called Animorph Classics. Well I hope to have a good time here.

Thanks guys, also this is my first time on a Animorph fansite so I want to ask this question. Want happened to morphz.com? I heard it was a big fansite for the series and the guy running the site eventally helped the author with web promotion and stuff. I was never a member there but I heard about it through the Anibase download thing from the offical website.

And when one day I decided to join the fandom on the web I looked up morphz.com and I couldn't find it but this website.

So what happened to morphz.com?

I hope this won't offend anybody but is this place full of furries. I don't hate them but the starfox online website I'm with has alot of them. I myself am not a furry I just like the series because of all the cool aliens and technology.

Hello there phenom, welcome to RAF!

First off, morphz went by the wayside long ago. One of the founding members went on to help Applegate and Grant with the Remnants series and now he is writer in his own right (you can follow him on facebook at Jeff Sampson). As far as I know almost all of the old Animorphs webpages are defunct. Nowadays there are a few active places, RAF being the largest of them. There is also Hirac Delest, an archive and news site, a livejournal group and a few others.

As far as your second question, this is a kid-friendly forum and, as far as I know, not a place that 'furries' frequent. We have a wide range of ages represented, from as young as 13 to as old as mid 50's and we try to keep the content appropriate for all ages.

Have a look around; I hope you enjoy yourself. Please feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions.

wHELLcome, Phenom!
I'm Vis... I'm Dameg, another RAFian. Come with me, please, I have something to show you. It's here, after this door *Open a heavy door* We call them the RAFprojects. *Lead Phenom to a long and dark hallway, with many doors, some in the dark, some with light coming from the other side. Arrive near the first door* Here at your left...

- The Ebooks project: [Help wanted!] Animorphs (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=14.0), Remnants (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,157.0.html <= finished), Everworld (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,331.0.html <= almost finished, it's our current priority, we need help to correct the volume #3 and check all the volumes to be sure there is no missing page); the Everworld/Animorphs ebooks need to be cleaned a little (mistakes, missing pages, we don't know where the chapters begin and finish, etc.) so if you wanna be a correcter... call me, I head that projects.

Facing it is...

- RAFipedia: http://rafipedia.wetpaint.com/, an encyclopedia headed up by Estelore, our star (a true star, who make light and burn in space... but she has a body to come on Earth);

Next it's...

- the Audiobooks project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=15.0, a full-cast audio version of Animorphs who need more "actors" and voices, headed by Kit Cloudkicker (Jess), MrGuy, Morfowt, and Wildweathel;

and here...

- the Graphic Novel project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,416.0.html and http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2276.0.html, a Webcomic headed by Gafrash.

You also have...

- the Smiley project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1691.0.html, we make Animated gifs, smileys about Animorphs (Andalites, Hork-Bajirs...);

here and facing it is...

- the Translation project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1907.0.html, a recently started project/mutual support group for translations into other languages; currently only in French (Tocade, Anidragon and myself), Chinese (Morfowt), Indonesian (Nat), Swedish (Mira and Zana), and Esperanto (Wildweathel); we translate only the volumes never edited in our countries/languages, to make the ebooks;

Next door is for the special project:

- http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3738.0.html: the adventures of the RAFians;

At the end it's for the little projects:

- the http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3810.0.html;

- the http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3911.0.html to make the planets we hear about in Animorphs;

- the paper-RPG project: a role-playing game (on table, with paper, pen and dices...) about the World of Animorphs; I head this project, and it'll be write in French at the beginning, but we need help to find, class and write everything we know about the species, the planets, the powers we see in Animorphs, fix them, see what we keep and what we can't keep (because of the KASU, not clear, exception for the main characters/books, etc.), complete the knowledges about species/planets we know and even create new species/planets...; this project will be on my own website, so if you wanna join, ask me the link ^^;

- the RPG project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,4069.0.html to make a video game about Animorphs, with RPGmaker;

- the Command-line game project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3787.0.html for another kind of video game about Animorphs;

- the http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3773.0.html where we count all the people killed by the Animorphs;

- the RAFkaraoke: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3150.0.html and http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3635.msg245735.html#msg245735, where we make songs and sing them...

- the One RAFian On Volume project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=5317.0 where everybody take a picture of him/herself with a volume of Animorphs...

and some other projects who come and go. Please check the list: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/board,13.0.html

*Standing in front of Phenom* I hope you enjoyed your visit. Oh, and I also invite you to add your species on this list: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2154.0.html 'coz everybody isn't Human here. And we like to know who is what... For example, as you'll probably see, I'm a Controller. ... and if you want, you can add your age too: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,318.0.html... and say where do you live here: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=5049.0 so Marie can add you on the RAFworld Map!
We also opened a http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=36.0 to teach to each others our languages and other stuffs.

I didn't even know what "furries" were, but now I do... and we don't have any here, I think. I don't even know why they would be on an Animorphs forum.
PS about what Terenia said: I think we have members who are 11 or 12 years old, actually.

Now I have to go, I don't invite you for the meal, sorry. *Beginning to go down dark stairs. Phenom can hear a cry coming from the cave.*
Have fun!
*Dameg disappears into the darkness, Phenom is now alone in the hallway*

The one you can help with very easily is the One Volume One RAFian. We just need a lot of people to participate, and you need a camera, a volume of Animorphs (and something to record your voice if you can). Only that! So please come to this one at least, OK?
