Really?

Huh, I always thought of them as being a little bigger. Perhaps about the length of a deflated basketball.

Size is dependent on species (there are actually many species of anglerfish). The National Geographic page I'm looking at says that some can actually reach lengths in excess of 1 meter, but that most are significantly smaller (around the size of a tea cup). For the most part, I'd expect them to be very small, since living at that depth is going to make the food supply necessary to feed anything large hard to come by-- the larger ones are going to be increasingly rare, I'm sure. If you're going for a morph, though, you may want to track down one of the bigguns.

Fair point, because the most part of food at that depth is plankton, if I'm right - haven't really had a nature study class in the deep sea for quite a while now.

Yeah, those were good.

Unrelated to any particular book (except one of the first, where applegate wrote this gem):

"the use of rhetoric to obscure a lack of content."

Which i used without reference and with delivery to poor effect at best in a meeting discussing the development of a report for someone moderately important. ...i wish i could name-drop just for effect, haha.

Also, i found out this weekend that my sister's bf read animorphs. Imo, that improved my opinion of him (not that it needed improving) by a few big points.

http://www.natureworldnews.com/articles/4111/20130923/eagle-vs-deer-rare-images-caught-camera.htm

From the article

Quote
Golden eagles are not known to attack deer, but the image of the bird latched on to the deer's back and bringing it down to the snowy ground is as clear as it is puzzling. The eagle's attack was successful, researchers later found the deer's carcass a few yards away from the camera trap.

Bull. Animorphs fans have known Golden eagles to attack deer since 1998

Haha! I posted this in the wrong place the first time, its in the right one now!

Well, I just had two random animorphs thoughts.

The first was that I was re-reading through megamorphs 3 and when I reached the
agincourt battle
part I opened medieval 2: total war in my pc and instantly played that particular battle, and I won!!!

Second, I was in anatomy class and my professor told us to place our hand in a position where our fourth finger wouldnt respond to our commands no matter how hard we tried, I nearly broke out in tears thinking that thats how it must feel to have a yeerk in your head

Speaking as a history buff, the Agincourt but in MM3 drives me crazy. I just... want so bad for someone to be like "so this is what's going on. Blah blah blah."

It didn't bother me when I read it the first time. But I didn't know anything about it yet. It bothers me so much now.

i am so blissfully unaware.

maybe i should reread. that was the time-travel, everybody dies megamorphs, right?

i about had a million heart attacks and was a sobbing mess by the end, the first time around.

my thought- on the morbid side- no normal chipmunk hides in a garage and, when discovered, half-walks, half-scampers to the nearest bush to sit and watch the garage.

*cough* ....except likely a sick and dying chipmunk. but yes.

Yeah it's the time travel one.... wait, which megamorphs doesn't have time travel?  Just the 1st one?

It's the one where they're chasing the guy with the time matrix.

the everyone dies time travel one was MM4.
Progressesively more of them die in the megamorphs once they start time travelling. Interesting pattern
