What Would You Have Done Differently?
« on: February 01, 2010, 03:33:38 PM »
if you were the leader of the animorphs, what would you do differently?

I personally would use guns (though at the age of 13 i dont know how i would get one... unless i followed my next change which is to morph humans. Morphing people could help you infiltrate the yeerks headquarters by morphing people like chapman which could give you the upperhand. I also probably wouldnt keep it a secret, i would visit the white house, morphing a member of the secret service or something then tell the president himself, showing him what i can do.

those are some basic differences i would do

what would you guys do?
RAFDating Marie. Jealous?

And then Buffy staked Edward. The End

Basically I put everyone who looks like a good guy in Gryffindor and everyone who looks like a bad guy in Slytherin. The rest can go wherever the hell they want, I don't care.

I would definitely morph Humans, and maybe also steal some dracon beams for later use. I may not use them very often, but if there was ever an occassion where we could transport them to an area, then I would. especilly since in real life I wouldn't have plot armor, and my enemies wouldn't be graduates of the Stormtroopers Marksmen academy. If you know what I mean.

I would also get some distance flyers early on, so we don't have to go over how often we need to rest during long flights, and how we have to stay far apart from each other. That wouldn't happen because we would be geese, or some other flock bird that can fly great distances without tiring.

If the Chee are there then I'd have them start covering for us a lot sooner. Like starting in book 11. I would also use the box to increase our numbers, but try to never let the Yeerk see more than six of us at once. We don't need to let them know that we are expanding, or how many of us there actually are. There could be a hundred auxilaries, but the Yeerks wouldn't know unless they captured one alive. And we would use Ax and the Chee to ensure the auxilaries are kept mostly in the dark.

Me and my friend are co-writing a fanfiction on this actually, a group of soldiers who discover the yeerk threat and go all Rambo on them.

Personally, guns. I would use alot of guns against yeerks, seeing as the extent of their firearms are hand held dracon beams, I'd use long range weapons, sniper rifles, handguns and automatic rifles. If you wonder where I'd get all of this stuff, my buddy's dad is rather anti-government and big into hunting and stuff, so he's got a massive armoury just loaded with guns. But yes, we'd probably hire some more professional fighters, and stage hit-and-run attacks on the pool. We could escape the bioFilter by capturing a yeerk and cutting off a small piece to carry. The scanner would detect human and yeerk DNA, so we'd get through. Then using silenced weapons we'd kill all opposition on our way downstairs and thne mingle with the general controller crows. We would maybe set off a few bombs, and among the chaos hose some yeerks then hightail outta there.

Oh, and a pipe-bomb or two in the yeerk pool wouldn't hurt. maybe even rat poison. :)

has anyone ever thought if someone decided to snipe Visser Three at an open Sharing meeting? Hire a professional hitman with a sniper rifle, and peg him.

Exactly! He's at open sharing meetings constantly! A .303 round from two hundred yards would pop his head like a melon!

I'd hope I'd have seen the big picture earlier... mix some Cassie insight with some Marco big-picture idea... and, after the blue box was found, make lots of open thought speak announcements over inner sharing meetings, maybe even get ax to send out open communications over the z-space thing once he got it working, and announce to all yeerks that if they defected and fought with the "andalite bandits", their final reward would be morphing technology and freedom from dependence upon the kandrona and living as parasites.  obviously, you can't just trust any defectors... the proof of defection would be Visser 3's head and such.  create a huge yeerk civil war... and eventually, with the bad yeerks defeated, use the morphing cube to reward the yeerks who just wanted to live a normal life.  it'd be a risky strategy, but just causing the civil war among the yeerks would weaken them tons.

No. If you want to cause civil war, then work through the YPM. That would be better than giving the Yeerks morphing power for multiple reasons.

not giving it to them, offering it as an incentive if they are successful in taking down Visser 3's invasion.  say "if you help to overthrow the invasion of earth and get us in control, we'll make sure you no longer have to live as blind helpless parasites"... give us control of the mother ship, the blade ship, the whole invasion force, and we'll let your yeerk bodies change to something else so you no longer have to live as parasites dependent upon the kandrona.

of course, most yeerks' hatred of andalites would stop them from listening to such an offer.  but it'd plant the seeds... plant the seeds in a less dangerous way than Cassie tried to plant the seeds by letting Tom have the morphing cube.

I really don't think i'd want the Andalites banging on our doors for doing that, and I'm not sure why they didn't go after the anis themselves. I'm also not sure nothlitism is the best case scenario for the Yeerks. I'd much rather build hosts for them, and rewire their bodies so they can only infest that particular host. Much like what the Iskoort did.

I would utilize the Chee's Kandrona generators to keep alive Yeerk POWs and also dissident Yeerks such as Aftran.  I would utilize the free Hork-Bajir Good Squad to kidnap Tom and other Controllers in order to free them.
