A Kind Heart and a Wolf's Courage (Semi literate) Filled

She bit her lower lip as she thought about it, as was her habit, and then shook her head. "They will be researching that area since the scouting party never came back to report, but I am willing to bet that the town out that way -" she said pointing ahead of them "-is all clear for now as they came from that direction and no one was lost. We should head that way." she told him as she ****ed back into her side sitting position. She tucked the skirt of her gown inder her legs to prevent it from flying in the wind and to keep her legs safe.

Wolf nodded and said, "You got it." He started the sled back up and drove in the direction Natalya pointed. He was careful to navigate the conjoined sleds around trees and rocks so Tyr wouldn't be jarred so much. Once they were out of the tree cover, he sped up gradually. Once they were a good distance away from their previous hiding spot, he opened up the engine and sped off.


When they cleared the tree line and started in the opposite direction from the search party, Tyr could see them in his scope. Stupid humans. This shot would be too easy. He waited until two humans had lined up with each other and Tyr whispered, "Pshew... gotchya." He then felt Wolf speed up even more and saw as the humans faded into the distance.

Natalya held tight as he manuvered and then sped up. She was oblivious to what was going on behind herfrom hiding her face from the wind and the roar of the engine. She had a feeling of where they were going, and that feeling told her that wwhen they arrived in the right spot, she would tell Wolf to stop. They drove for what was about an hour and a half when Natalys raised her head and put a hand to Wolf's shoulder. "Slow down up there by the large rock and then stop." she said. This time she was calm about it, to show there was no danger.

Wolf slowed, hoping they were done with driving, he wasn't used to sitting bow-legged for so long. He slowed to a dead stop at the rock. He slowly drove around the back of it so that the sleds were barely visible and Tyr could still cover the road.


Tyr felt them slow and turn ever so slightly as they came to a stop. Once they were still, he asked throught the tarp, "What's going on?"

Natalya's ears perked at a sound and she slid off the snowmobile and walked a few steps, listening. "I know this place." she said, but almost in a whisper as if she were paying respects. "I don't know how, but I know this place."

[Darth Revan]

Luckily the wind was blowing his way, otherwise Tyr probably would've missed what Natalya had whispered. He flung the tarp off of him and rose slowly still holding the  rifle to his shoulder and kept his sight down the road. He asked, "What, did you pass through here before?"

She shook her head and looked around slowly. "No, it's....more than that." When she looked at the large Oak to her left, she walked closer and brushed some snow from the tree's bark and revealed an old Rune in the tree made from claw marks. Her eyes widened as she said, "I don't believe it..."

Wolf stood up and stretched his legs. His attention, though distracted by his groin pain, was solely on Natalya, "What is it; what do you see?"

She didn't answer. She looked at the run in the tree before turning to Tyr and Wolf. "You have to see the mark for yourselves first, then you have to follow me. We have to move as wolves to enter." she told them both.

((You're going to have to tell me what I'm looking at and what it means. I'm sure my characters would know what it means, but I have no clue.))

~~Sorry, I thought I put it in, my computer glitches alot. It's supposed to be like on old tribal rune known only to Wolves, marking territories and packs. What she found was her home pack.~~

Wolf approached the tree and saw the rune etched into the tree bark and his jaw dropped. He looked to Natalya speechless.

Tyr backed up to the tree, keeping his eyes on the road behind them the whole time. When he reaches the tree, he looks at the rune and then looks to Natalya and Wolf. With occasional glances to the road, he asks, "Who's territory is this?"

She said nothing until after Tyr had seen it and asked his question. "This is.....my home." she said, her eyes bright. "I haven't been here in over three years." she said. Just then a howl rose up in the air and she looked towards the woods. She looked back at them and smiled. "Come!" she said and shifted. She hid her gown in the snow by the tree and walked over to the tree and waited for them to shift and follow before she would take off.

Wolf shifted immediately, placed his flak jacket next to Natalya's with her dress, and waited next to her. Tyr stood for a moment and ran back to his sled. He stripped out of his ghille suit and vest, put them under the tarp along with the rifle. He then shifted to his Gray Wolf and ran to Natalya, "Let's go." Wolf nodded showing he was ready as well.

Natalya's eyes brightened and she shook a bit of snow from her solid white fur before taking off into the trees towards where the howl had come from. After a bit she gave her own howl, and it was answered by many others. She came upon a large hole in a cliff side, where many different colored wolves began to trickle out of. When she reached the treeline she slowed to a walk to enter into the clearing in front of the cave. The Wolves' ears perked and some yipped and barked.
