*walks out of cave.* Who woke me up? Oh, haha, Icedevimon. Hi Icedevimon. I'm a Mewtwo with a name that every Mewtwo should have: Dale Earnhardt. So is the name a coincedence or do you like digimon?

If I didn't finish it, I likely grew bored with it, knowing me, lol. I tried it a few years ago though, so maybe I was just too young at the time. Happened with To Kill a Mockingbird too, and I love that one now. Yeah, the kid's series is worth a read. They aren't terrible, just not my favorite. And hey, you gotta keep up with the fandom XD

And I'll keep that offer in mind Dameg. I'm not a huge movie person, but I watch them once in a while. Good to know I've got a course :P

Well then Goom, and DN, great job with them. They're all great :3

It's definitely not a coincidence. Digimon is my largest fandom, really. I've been with it since 1999. Ten years... and there's a new game in the works, so yay ^_^

Chose Icedevi for my name because, since power rangers, I've been obsessed with villains, and every example of Icedevimon in the series makes him an evil killer =D

I read Interview with the vampire and the next books when I was 13 years old ^^' I began to read novels with adult novels, Interview with the vampire was my 3rd. At the beginning I didn't read novels for youth like Animorphs ^^' (And before novels I was totally into BD (European comic books))

You do know that makes us rivals. Right?

Pokemon and Digimon don't mix to well. ;)

Sure they do. I like both series, and RP them both as well. My avatar IS a sableye ::)

Dameg, yeah, I read them around that age too. I just didn't enjoy it back then. My tastes were different I guess. I didn't even read Animorphs until a few months ago. It's a real new series for me to be into.

I see ^^
I'm into supernatural and horror for so long that it's normal to me... but tastes change. Maybe now you could enjoy them. At least, try again Lestat and Queen of the Damned. They're the best ;)

Hi Ice, welcome to RAF!  My screen name is Myitt but you can also call me Tara.

Very interesting career choices, sounds like law is a good side interest for you, I can't imagine you losing a case as an attorney  ;D  You certainly are entitled to your strong opinions, and that's cool, but just try to be respectful of other people's feelings.  An insult can still be hurtful, whether it's true or not, and keep in mind that you're not always right--what you perceive as being true might not be in another's point of view.

You should give our RPs a chance, or try and start your own.  I bet you'd be good at it, though you may need to learn a bit of flexibility as much as some other forumers might need to learn to think a bit more before they type.  Even I've been guilty of both ends of that spectrum.  Everyone makes mistakes, remember that, and some of us have also been roleplaying (online or offline) and writing for a very long time, like you seem to have been.  Try to keep an open mind about OOC posts, occasionally they are actually useful, if one has nothing else to say regarding the storyline--an unfortunate fact that crops up when there's a lull in the story or a question regarding one fact or another.  But, of course, no one can change you.  Unless some of us are pea pod body snatchers, and you just never know about that.   ^^

Anyway, the point is, we're all here to have fun and not be all totalitarian.  I hope you do have fun here and enjoy our community :D  If you have any problems or questions feel free to ask any of us or contact a mod.

And by the way, Yeerks were always my favorite little bastards, too ;D

I'm not going to be an attorney at all. I'm majoring in English, so whatever I do, it will be involved with writing.

I've given the Rps a chance already, and I really don't like them... They actually are sort of offensive to me, because I look at them, then look at NCD, which has nearing 4000 posts, and see tons and tons of posts that are either all OOC or are extremely short and lacking in detail and care.

lol, there is no way I'll be flexible and lower myself to the standards of spammers. One-liners, god-modders, mary-sue makers, and OOC only posters can stay away from me and my RPs. That's just how I run things..

I'm enjoying the community, it just hurts me to see my biggest passion... well, mutilated x_x Sorry, but that's just how I feel. There are a few good RPers. I've seen some large posts. But most are short, lack detail, and are just lazy to me... (I've seen this elsewhere too, so it's not meant to single you guys out).

You'd have to see my RPs to understand why I feel that way. I had to RP with someone who one-lined for a while and it drove me up the wall. It's not fair that one person puts effort in and the other doesn't D: Go check them out. I like people reading and giving feedback on them. They are in my sig.

I just get ranty about it. I really can't help it. I'm sure all you guys are great people despite RP skill.

But anyway, back on track. I don't want to just rant about it.

I never said you were going to be an attorney, but hot damn, if you do--the other side had better look out  :P

We don't have to dwell on this, so I'll just say one last thing on it, and if you still want to stay away from the RPs then that's completely fine.

I just went through and read your New Century Dawn RP style, and I honestly can't see any difference between yours and the style of me and my friends who have been RPing for over twelve years (and, well, I guess more--does playing pretend at recess count as LARPing? XD)

Also...if you want to be nitpicky, phrases like '"I was weaker back then." He defended,' and  '"I've had cooked fish on Earth. . . . Remember?', and '"Liana, your familiar is an idiot." Edward spat, leaning forward on his knees and glaring her way, "She said the fish smelled rotten. . . . What the hell?' ....those kind of drive me up a wall XD  It should be: '"I was weaker back then," he defended.', '"I've had cooked fish on Earth. . . .remember?"', and '"Liana, your familiar is an idiot," Edward spat, leaning forward on his knees and glaring her way.  "She said the fish smelled rotten. . . . what the hell?"'.

Grammatical errors are just as taboo to me as your preconceived notions of roleplaying superiority, although you are quite talented--I really think you'd do well and have fun in our threads, maybe you could even start a Digimon thread, or something else up your alley.

My point is, I don't instantly judge people for making simple mistakes or less-than-perfect roleplaying posts.  I appreciate that everyone here has something to add, whether to a conversation or to a RPing post.  I might get annoyed or speak my mind, and honestly, we've mentioned the spammy aspects of some posts in some of the RPs.  People have worked on getting better, too, because writing and roleplaying can only get better with practice and the support of those who are more experienced, like us.

We all have typos and make the occasional slip up, it's human nature.  I think that's why it seems like you're rubbing a lot of people the wrong way, and that's not what we want. RAF is a community of friends and we want you to be our friend too, and not isolate yourself because you feel you can't belong or participate.  :)

That's all I wanted to say.  Take it or leave it, and take the criticism as constructive and not as an attack.  I hope you can change your mind, but if not, enjoy what you can here and we can all agree to disagree :)

I haven't seen you in the Galaxy's Edge Space Bar, so maybe you haven't given that one a chance?  It's a twelve-year-long open format setting, and personally I think it's pretty fun, so if you want to join it you're more than welcome.  All you have to bring with you is a desire to write well and coherently, which should be no problem, to have fun, and to bring a character into an extremely eccentric and interesting bar in space.

It goes without saying that you'd be more than welcome.  Just don't powergame/godmod of course.  I sort of wonder how my mentally unstable Yeerk rebels would react to someone from the Digimon universe.

Congrats for quoting one of my posts from months ago! You could have at least chosen something more recent D: Also congrats for thinking that I care about grammar in an RP setting. I don't think I said that, did I? :S Most of the things that you "corrected" are merely stylistic choices that differ from country to country, as well as state to state. Although I did learn something regarding the comma in the place of the period within a quoted area (I am mostly educated in the grammar of paper writing, and not in that of story telling), if I want to capitalize a letter to denote it's a new sentence after an extended ellipse (. . . .), I can do that. I see it all the time in books.

As far as I'm concerned grammar doesn't matter in RP, so long as the post is coherent. What does matter is that people aren't lazy and give one line posts. It's simply not fair to write one line and then have someone else write three paragraphs, or to reply to a five paragraph post with a singe line. It's not fair to decide for someone else if an attack hits his character or not. It's not preconceived RP superiority. It's common sense.

I've checked out that RP. I don't like it. It's random. I need a strong plot to follow. That's just how I am. All my Rps are plot heavy. And then there are people who god-mod and one-line. I just can't place myself in that setting. If I did start an RP here, it wouldn't be digimon. It would probably be some sort of Animorphs RP. If I do, and I'm still considering it, I wanna see how Pokemorphs goes first plot wise. You know, find what works and what doesn't. I'm still fairly new to RPing Animorphs.

Nothing you've said is going to change my mind that god-modding, power playing, one lining, and OOC spamming aren't correct or acceptable to RP with. While NCD may not have the most perfect grammar in the world (and never did I claim that my style was superior), at least it's not full of fake posts and spam. My  point was that I have nearly 4000 posts of solid writing material. I don't have posts in there that are JUST OOC notes. There are no posts that will make the RP seem bigger than it is.

Like I said, I don't care about grammar. What is important to me are good ideas, a willingness to grow, and respect, and people who one line are not respectful of those who don't. It really seems like you value the same things, so trying to make a parallel to some grammar "mistakes" and someone who one-lines makes no sense to me.

Rubbing people the wrong way? I really don't care <_<. If you guys want me to leave, then I'll leave. It really doesn't matter to me. I'm not going to change who I am or how I behaves, so if that's the choice just give it to me and should it be wanted I would be gone.

Actually, scratch that! This whole karma system makes me lol, so I have a goal to become the user with the lowest karma, because apparently a few of you guys can't handle the fact that someone has an honest opinion! So go ahead, smite away. I'll do it back, just because I like to get even like that ;) and you'll help me achieve my goal ^_^

English grammar is English grammar, dude, no need for you to take offense.  And I was pretty much agreeing with you about godmodding and spamming, I just try to correct and educate rather than overreact and shun someone whose style I disagree with.

I want you to have a good time here, and it's completely fine if you don't want to join our RPGs, but don't bash our skills and refuse to participate in anything else.  It's only fair.

Those who are smiting karma really should stop, it's only going to make things more volatile, but Ice, if you really are so adamant that you're so much better than us...why are you here?  Just a thought.  Like I said before, I wasn't trying to antagonize you with criticism--you asked for it politely.  Don't try to antagonize us, either.

But APA grammar is different than English grammar, and MLA grammar is different than APA grammar... Neh? Like I said, I wasn't aware of the comma in the place of periods thingeh, so I learned something there, but I still don't agree with the ellipses changes that you made. I still think that's more a stylistic choice ^^'

Okay, I still fail to understand how pointing out that posts that are one-line long and OOC note only posts are spam is insulting <_<

Refuse to participate in anything else? When did I say this? All I said was that I was unlikely to join existing RPs because of the things that I mentioned :S Never said I wouldn't post anywhere or would never, ever RP here.

I never said that I was better than you guys either. I don't like one-lining, god-modding, ect. So what? It shouldn't matter to you guys what I like and don't like. If you think it's right, let it go in one ear and out the other. My not wanting to join RPs that have that doesn't mean anything.

Why am I here? Simple. To see what the fandom is like. To meet people. There's no reason that I can't borderline lurk while doing that. Heck, on WtW I joined up and lurked for a year!

And as for comments, I invited it, but I hadn't anticipated grammar critique. I meant that I like hearing about the weaknesses and strengths of the story, and what people like or hate about characters. Of course, I never specified, so that is my own fault <_<
