Tobias's Perch

[Darth Revan]

Jake looks around, "Now? No. We have to get her in the car. We're going to dinner. We have to be at Cassie's in 5 minutes. Look, just come with us."

Raksha smiled and gave a slight blush across her pale skin. "Thank you very much." she said to Walter, nodding her head in a greeting. Standing next to Shawn, she slipped her hand into his as she waited for him to find his voice again.

Tobias shook his head.*I can't..*he says at a whispter.*I've been in morph for awhile now.*

Jake looked frustrated, "Well at least help me put her in the car. We can talk later for now," he lowered his voice to a whisper, "we have to go to dinner. This is the only way I can guarantee my parents safety tonight." Jake sighed, Tobias regaining his powers was an amazing thing. He definitely needed to know how it happened; maybe it could help in the future in case anyone else gets trapped. "Look, you can still come. Just demorph and remorph in the bathroom at the restaurant."

Tobias nods softly.*Sure Jake.*he carefully helps Jake take Rachel to the car.*And I will come..I owe it to you guys after...all that has happened.*

Naomi, unaware of her daughter's dead faint, called from upstairs, "Have fun, honey!" There was still a hint of irritation in her voice, but most of it was directed at Sarah, who was refusing to get into bed. "Bye, Jake!" she added.

As Jake carried Rachel out of her house wit Tobias, he called out to his aunt, "Bye, love ya Aunt Naomi." Once they were at the car, Jake helped Rachel in the car. His parents Shockedly asked what had happened to her, so Jake came up with a story on the fly, "She uh, tripped going down the stairs. You know how clumsy she can be. It was only the last step, so she should wake up pretty soon. There's no chance she has a concussion or anything. You know how soft their floor is." Jake tried to pre-empt any questions his parents might've had. As he scooted in to the middle of the back seat, he beckoned Tobias inside, "This is Tobias, he helped clean Cassie's house too."

Steve sat in the driver's seat relatively speechless. Every question he could think to ask was already answered. He just gaped at his wife and shrugged, "Okay... off...we...go then." He drove the group to Cassie's house which took a little longer than usual due to traffic. They showed up a few minutes late.

As they pulled up to the house, Rahel started coming back around, "Ja-Jake?"

Jake answered, "Yeah?"

"Where-"

"We're at Cassie's. It's time to get out, c'mon." He cut off her questions so she wouldn't say anything "Ani-sensitive". He unbuckled her seat belt and she put her hand to her head as she opened her car door. She struggled slightly to stand, but recovered nicely.

Tobias helped her into the car then looked uneasy at it before looking at Jake,almost not wanting to as he looked up at the sky,before takeing a deep breath and getting into the car.

Jake exited the car out of the same side Rachel had. He put his head under her arm and helped her to Cassie's house while she regained her balance.

Rachel started to regain her mind and body as she saw Cassie's house. Her head stopped spinning and her vision started to clear. By the time she and Jake were at the door, she felt fine enough to slip her arm from her cousin's shoulders and open the door. She entered the house holding her head with her other hand.


Shawn held firmly onto Raksha's hand as the adults broke into small talk. Everyonce in a while he would sneak a smile to Raksha when he wasn't watching for the others. When the car came, he tugged on Raksha's arm and nodded out of the door.

Tobias gets out of the car and follows them in,not saying much and keeping his head down abit.

Shawn sees a new face walk in through the door, he can't help but feel a familiar-ness emanating from him.

Walter sees Jake's family arrive with a new friend. He smiles at Jake and asks him, "Hi Jake, glad you could make it. Who's your friend?"

Tobias looked up and smiled.*M..my name is Tobias,I am a friend's of Jake's.*he says speaking up for himself for once.

Cassie's eyes widened, and she grabbed the back of a chair to not fall over. She turned her startled expression on Jake, seeking an answer as to how this could be possible. Is it Erek? she wondered. Did Marco or Ax acquire Tobias before he got stuck in morph? She shook her head, instinctively knowing that could not be the case; this was really him, by some miracle. "Glad you could make it, Tobias," she said with a slow smile, finally finding her voice.

Tobias smiled softly as he blushed abit at all the attention he was getting.*Thanks Cassie.*he said,his voice abit shakey like Ax's would be,a sign it was really him and not someone else as him.

Jake gave Cassie a wide-eyed slight shake of the head signifying he was completely clueless as to how it was possible. He spoke up after Tobias , to explain why he was even there, "To-Tobias was here helping us with the clean-up. He had to go home before you guys showed up. I, uh, was able to get a hold of him before it was too late."

Walter nodded understandingly. Great, lost two mouths, but gained another. He smiled and said, "Well you're welcome here at any time, Tobias."

Shawn's eyes wnet blank and opened wide when Tobias's name was mentioned. No way that's Tobias. He's a nothlit! How the hell? He gripped Raksha's hand a bit harder from disbelief.

Zander was too busy listening to Jake and Tobias to notice the others' reactions. He approached Tobias and said, "Well, it's great to meet another friend of my son. Tobias, I'm Zander, Shawn's father."

Rachel saw Tobias reappear through Cassie's front door. No, she wasn't dreaming, he was truly standing in front of her. So many years of visualizing the real Tobias when she looked at his nothlit body, had gotten her used to seeing him as he was when he was human; but now, now it was real. It wasn't a fantasy, or some lie she told herself. It was real, tangible. She could actually hold him, she could touch him, she could... She ran forward at him and wrapped her arms around him; holding tightly to prevent this vision from ever disappearing. A tear fell from her eye as she whispered his name, "Tobias..."
