Tobias quickly calls down.<I..see Tom and the yeerks,they've bocked off a road and they've brought out Hork-Bajir's and are searching the woods around Cassie's barn.>he says flying abit higher in case they where watchin and to act like a real bird.

((Technically, any morph-capable being could activate it, but she's already brought Ax here.))

"No. I'm sorry Jamal, but this is an odd situation. Things have moved too fast to truly think anything through. We both have a lot to discuss before we give you this power." Jake held his hand out to Ax wordlessly requesting for the cube.

After hearing Tobias's report, Jake started snapping orders, "Right. Marco, Ax, Rachel, on me. We have to get out of here and help Cassie. Elayne, can you make sure Jamal stays safe?"

((I thought the Animorphs didn't know how to activate it.  Didn't Ax do it for David?))

Ax hefted the cube into Prince Jake's hands, then said <Yes Prince Jake.>  He began to morph to Northern Harrier.

Rachel, already in morph, called out to Tobias.  <Do you see where Cassie is?>  The situation had become urgent again.  If the Yeerks got Cassie, the game was up.

((Sorry Blue, but there's no way Jake would make a rash decision like this. I'm not trying to leave you out of the RP, I'm trying to stay true to the character. If you want in on what's happening next, maybe you could have Cassie arrive home. Or maybe Seal could let you be Ax.))

((I was just controlling Ax to do the activation of the cube--I had no intention of keeping him.  By all means, take Ax, Blue.  I could be Cassie if Blue doesn't want her.  Not many people like Cassie...))

"You got it, big guy. Hope this doesn't get too messy," Marco stood up from the couch, focusing on his osprey morph. Immediately, he started to shrink. He grimaced as his legs grew thin and scaly, but then his lips were hardened into a beak so he was left unable to make any expressions other than an eye roll.

Elayne nodded to Jake. "I will protect him, within the limits of my programming. If needed, I can always take him below."

Tobias replies after a few seconds after asked the question.<No sign of Cassie,but their nearly halfway up her driveway,if she is there she has no choice but to morph and escape or she's dead.>flaps abit,his wings starting to get abit sore from all the flying he's had to do already.

Jake begins morphing his falcon, "Worldoo mnd.." Jake attempts to continue talking as his mouth transform in a beak, <Sorry. Can you extend a hologram to cover our exiting the window? I think seeing a few birds appearing in the sky could be put off as a trick of the eye, but seeing four birds fly out of a house may be too much.>

Rachel flexed her wings impatiently.  She knew that they couldn't be discovered, but they had to save Cassie!  She ran over Cassie's "schedule" in her head.  Glancing at a clock, she saw that Cassie should be in the barn. 

((We should wait for Blue to post Cassie's whereabouts.))

((Um, we can have Elayne do her thing and exit the house, but then we should wait after that.))

"No problem, Jake," Elayne nodded and, a moment later, her hologram was extended out the window to include a wide enough cone that they would be hidden until they were high in the sky. The hologram around her own body flickered, largely diverted to this effort, so her android body was visible for long intervals.

<Cool, huh?> Marco said to Jamal as he ruffled his feathers and got ready to head out, on Jake's orders.

Rachel was unable to wait any longer.  <We have to find Cassie!>  She said, and didn't wait.  It would be better if they left at intervals, anyway.  She caught a thermal just outside the house and rose up in the hologram.  After reaching a suitable height, she flew out of the hologram.  <C'mon, Tobias.>  She said.  <Let's fly.  We have to find Cassie.>  She tilted her wings towards Cassie's house and looked down at Tobias.

Jake rushed out behind Rachel. <"Let's fly"? There's a change. Marco maybe you should say her tagline for her, just to keep with tradition.> Jake tried to keep his worried tone as light as possible.

Marco gave an internal sigh, waiting at the window for Jake to get a suitable distance away. <Man, I hate it when you sound all chipper, Jake. Means you're worried. But alright, what the heck, I'll humor you.> He put on a mock-excited voice and shouted, <Let's do it!> Launching himself outside, he flapped hard until he caught a thermal over the blacktop road and soared upwards, keeping just within thought-speak range of Tobias, Jake, and Rachel.

Once Marco was gone, Elayne released the hologram out the window and returned to cloaking only herself and Cassie's father's truck outside. "If you are hungry, Jamal, help yourself to anything you find in the fridge. Hopefully things will stay quiet here."
