What ever happened to Tobias?

Tricky, see I've recently discovered that at least some of the hawks I've seen are vultuers or in fact big freakin' crows . . . don't ask.

Anyway whenever I see a hawk I have to really look close to be certain that it is a hawk, then its usualy a crow or a vulture, but the relevant point is that while I'm looking closer I always immediately think of Tobias, or I wouldn't care enough to take that closer look anymore. Hawks are cool and seeing one is cool but being mistaken so often tends to kill one's enthusiasm . . . not that crows and vultures aren' cool . . . I geuss.

there are hawks everywhere here. there are 3 for sure that have each staked out different sections of freeway that i take to and from school from my house, and they just sit on the lamp posts lookin out over the freeway. and i always think Tobias when i see them

the other day i saw an offsprey pair (it was super exciting cuz it was the first time i'd ever seen an osprey in real life that wasnt a stuffed specimen) and i thought look! cassie and marco! and one was being a pacifist and not hunting (cassie) and the other tried 3 times to hunt, and came up empty 3 times (marco)

There are tons of red-tails down our trail near my house... Whenever I go running I always run into a couple of them. <3
There're also a bunch of Osprey here, especially nearer to the bay/rivers... last time a friend of mine went fishing, I just sat there and watched them. xD Aside from them, there're a bunch of vultures, some Goshawks, Kestrels and a few other species... but I'm drawn to the red-tails, mostly because of Tobias. =P

I used to do some birdwatching I was an amateur 
but i could tell different hawks apart
there were several around  my area and the one near my house was a Red Tail so I used to say it was Tobias heh
good old days. there was a female with babies in the park bit it was a kestrel not a red tail.
I totally lost my bird calling skills i could do a hawk quite well. not anymore

What got me upset about the show was ...
IF RED TAILS ARE SO COMMON
WHY NOT USE ONE
they used a Red Shoulder Hawk

ive got hawks nesting in my backyard, its pretty cool to see them during the summer, whos knows where they go once the season changes

i am so jealous of u ax! all i get are songbirds. altho the other day i saw a mocking bird, so i guess thats kinda cool.

i thought it was to dark to be a red tail . plus its shoulders were maroon colored
but yeah now that i think about it..red shoulders are lighter than red tails.
so going to figure this out before my head explodes

I was walking with my friend Natalya (my only friend who has read most of the Animorphs) and I was telling her my new Animorph quote
<Yesss! Yesss! Bird Boy shoots, he scores! If I had arms I'd be doing a victory dance!>
Anyway then Natalya points to a sparrow going past and says "Look! It's Tobias!" and we laughed and I said "Wouldn't it be funny if he started doing a victory dance?" and we laughed some more.

Plus this is kind of irrelevant but a little huntsman has taken up residence in our classroom and I called him Marco. It's not a wolf spider, but hey...

and shark, he def was not a red tailed in the novie, that was obvious from the start, to small and dark, but he could have been a swainson's even tho that one in ur pick isnt dark enough, cuz they have different color morphs. oh why did i already return my bird field guide book back to the library?

totally lost my raptor sighting skills XD.
don't have my field book with me either  or my tree one yes a tree field guide book to identify different trees... <_< lost my skill of that too

I had a total Tobias moment yesterday, on the way to my cousin's b-day party. I saw a hawk being mobbed by smaller black birds, either crows or starlings. Wish I could have get rid of them some way lol

Red tails do have a dark morph. Look at this pic. It's called Harlan's Hawk.
