All the songs that I've read on this thread are good, and I thought why not add to the list.

Viva La Vida by Coldplay (Visser One during The Revelation)

Paint it Black by The Rolling Stones (Tobias, after Rachel's death)

What I've Done by Linkin Park (Jake after the war)

You and Me by Lifehouse (Tobias and Rachel)

Into the Night by Santana and Chad Kroeger (Tobias and Rachel)

These are all absolutely amazing! You're a genius.

I wouldn't say that I'm a genius, I just know music, and I can pick good songs and their applications.

Anyway, I've come up with even more songs:

21 Guns by Green Day (I haven't come up with a use yet, but it is still applicable for the Animorphs)

Never Say Never by The Fray (Tobias to Rachel)

Have you ever loved a woman? by Bryan Adams (Either Jake or Tobias)

I'd do anything for love by Meatloaf (Tobias to Rachel, or Jake to Cassie)
"Whoever said nothing is impossible never tried slamming a revolving door."

"I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sounds they make as they go flying by."

"There are very few problems that cannot be fixed with a suitable application of explosives."

"Never knock on Death's door. Ring the doorbell and run. Death hates that."

Ok... one good thing if Internet doesn't work for some weeks...

If it hadn't. I hadn't begun to look through my parents records and found this:

They came flyin' from far away, now I'm under their spell
I love hearing the stories that they tell
They've seen places beyond my land and they've found new horizons
They speak strangely but I understand

And I dream I'm an eagle
And I dream I can spread my wings
Flyin' high, high, I'm a bird in the sky
I'm an eagle that rides on the breeze
High, high, what a feeling to fly
Over mountains and forests and seas
And to go anywhere that I please

As all good friends we talk all night, and we fly wing to wing
I have questions and they know everything
There's no limit to what I feel, we climb higher and higher
Am I dreamin' or is it all real

Is it true I'm an eagle
Is it true I can spread my wings
Flying high, high, I'm a bird in the sky
(I'm an eagle)
I'm an eagle that rides on the breeze
High, up high, what a feeling to fly
(What a feeling)
Over mountains and forests and seas
And to go anywhere that I please

Tell me what you think of this song. I think it makes for a good Tobias song, especially post-torture Tobias (read #33 if you don't know what I mean).

Oh, hey, somebody revived this thread!  And to think, I was just recently listening to a few songs that really reminded me of Animorphs.  One in particular:

When All Is Said and Done by ABBA (Jake and Rachel at the end of the war)

I'm not going to post all the lyrics, because not all of it really fits very well.  But there's one verse that fits so perfectly that it nearly brought tears to my eyes, so I just had to share it here.

Its so strange, when you're down and lying on the floor
How you rise, shake your head, get up and ask for more
Clear-headed and open-eyed
With nothing left untried
Standing calmly at the crossroads, no desire to run
Theres no hurry any more when all is said and done

Alan Parsons
Silence and I
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjnFX99flC0

If i cried out loud
Over sorrows i've known
And the secrets i've heard
It would ease my mind
Someone sharing the load
But i won't breathe a word

We're two of a kind
Silence and i
We need a chance to talk things over
Two of a kind
Silence and i
We'll find a way to work it out

While the children laughed
I was always afraid
Of the smile of the clown
So i close my eyes
Till i can't see the light
And i hide from the sound

We're two of a kind
Silence and i
We need a chance to talk things over
Two of a kind
Silence and i
We'll find a way to work it out

I can hear the cry
Of the leaf on a tree
As it falls to the ground
I can hear the call
Of an echoing voice
And there's no one around

We're two of a kind
Silence and i
We need a chance to talk things over
Two of a kind
Silence and i
We'll find a way to work it out

I've got another one, for Tobias this time. It's Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day.

I realize that no one has posted here for a while, but I don't really care. Here are some more:

Synops by Karnivool (Rachel, towards the end of the series)

Fade by Karnivool (Tobias' attitude towards Jake after Rachel's death)

Endless Sacrifice by Dream Theater (Tobias and Rachel)

Forsaken by Dream Theater (Tobias and Rachel's relationship)

Through Her Eyes by Dream Theater (Once again, Tobias and Rachel)

The Root of all Evil by Dream Theater (Taylor)

This Dying Soul by Dream Theater (Rachel's Life)

Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N' Roses (Tobias describing Rachel)

Leave out all the rest by Linkin Park (Tobias and Rachel)

Master of Puppets by Metallica (Any non-voluntary controller)

For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica (The Animorphs' struggle against the Yeerks)

Winter Winds by Mumford & Sons (Tobias and Rachel)

Gotta be Somebody by Nickelback (Either couple)

Well, that's about as far as I'll go.

I got one. For Rachel. As Rachel is, later in the series, scaring herself with the violent murderous rage inside of here, I got this song.

Monster-Skillet

N33dz moar Kalif0rnian stUffz.

*nods sagely*

Social Distortion, No Doubt, Offspring, Sublime, rah rah rah.  Stuff teenagers in SoCal would have been listening to back then!  With all due respect...ABBA?  Marco would be rolling in his Z-Space grave!   :o   :P

I'd say that kind of music would be good for background music such as the music playing over radios, in shops, etc. and probably for the first twenty or so books, but towards the end of the series, I'd the Rock (and most of its subgenres) and Metal (stuff like Dream Theater, Tool and the softer songs, i.e. no screamo or thrash) genres would take precedence. Mainly for the heavier moods and tones that the books have by the end.

Well, I got the new Muse CD (The Resistance - already sounds like a title from one of the books!) a couple months back, and basically the first 3 songs remind me of Animorphs now. I can't un-hear it. The whole album's got this resistance-in-a-war-with-scifi-undertones thing going on.

Uprising - If there is a movie, this needs to be in it. So much Yeerk-butt-kicking awesomeness.
Resistance - a bit Jake/Cassie, but works as an overall theme as well. It's both slow/intimate and hurried-feeling at the same time.
Undisclosed Desires - Deffinately Tobias/Rachel. All the way.

Did I already say Riot for David?

I think Lost In You by Three Days Grace (yeah, I'm a 3DG psycho) could possibly be a Tobias/Rachel song.
