Yeah, and that would certainly make Jake perhaps less anxious in his decisions in the later missions ^-^.

Maybe a horse: a domesticated one, that is.  Nice and easy life (food and protection from predators provided), but you still do some work (being ridden).  Wouldn't want to sit around all the time.  Plus, it's a very athletic form to be in :)  Although it would depend on what your owner was like.

Or maybe a bird of prey, because it would be fun.  Or, like others have said, a Yeerk, if you were assured a supply of voluntary hosts, because then you still kind of have the opportunity to change form, even as a nothlit.

A Yeerk inside a morpher who has morphed my original form, become stuck in that form, and suddenly fallen into a catatonic state.

It'd be like being in my own body, sorta'.

If they had gotten duck morphs early on, they could've gotten to places a lot faster and that might've made changed the storyline even :P.

yea, and ducks arent as manueverable or as quick over short distances if i remember, so they wouldnt have had all those cool aereal fights and stuff

and come on, having ducks as their main travel morphs? lameness lol

Geese are infinitely better.

Geese/ducks, whatever...waterfowl then.
And they didn't have that many aerial battles, I think, they spent most of the time in bird morph getting from A to B and scoping out places.
Travel is better as waterfowl, but they could've been prey birds for the steak-outs.

Actually, they were usually seaguls for steak-outs, weren't they? Since seaguls are more common, and less suspicious.

Pigeons. They used pigeons, away from water.

Starlings would have been smarter, actually. They're a LOT faster in level flight, although pigeons are no pushovers, either.
Starlings out-number pigeons ten to one on Earth.

when did the animorphs ever morph pigeons? they didnt. altho that woulda been a smart idea. cuz they always scoped the area as a bird of prey, and then they had to do all this complicated spacing out stuff, when they all coulda just done pigeons, or crows, for the survallence missions.

Yes, they did. So did the auxiliaries.
