Elayne's dark eyebrows rise so high they nearly disappear behind the wispy bangs that had escaped her ponytail while they had napped, but she nods anyway. "I'll protect Myitt, and you, too," she reassures him, lifting her Dracon from her holster and thumbing the power setting up a notch.

[Chad32]

Cody's heart seemed to jump into his throat when Ossanlin dodged and fired back. Avoiding fire would be harder for Sukohn due to his bad leg, though he abandoned his stick in favor of wrenching his dracon out of his shirt and leaned against the nearby wall. He was hit, but he didn't go down. Maybe it was the painkillers, or just pure adrenaline. Maybe it was sheer desparation, but Sukohn knew this had to work. He was beginning to wish he had gotten Tamora inside the ship before he tried anything, but it was too late now. He now had the full attention of an Andalite with two shredders, and struggling with his own weapon was making the constant stream become erratic.

"I pulled my weapon on him, but he dodged! In retrospect, I kind of wish I had you on board with me before I did that, Tamora!"

[Luke Skywalker (Ossanlin)]

The eruption of the dracon beam burns deeply into Ossanlin's left arm, causing him to drop the left-hand shredder.  He hurls himself forward still firing the shredder on stun, lashing forward with his tail, no holds barred.  The Mirage locks down in response to the foreign weapons discharge, all controls deactivating.  The main hatch seals as do all the doors within the ship, the shields and engines remain active, but active control has been shut down.

Mar closes his eyes, focusing on the task at hand. He knows roughly what the inside of a Bug fighter looks like, but if he miscalculates he could end up in a Bug fighter a thousand light years away. Or inside the vacuum of space. That isn't good. He decides to focus less on the inside of the fighter and more on being where Myitt is.

At first nothing happens whatsoever, but eventually Mar disappears, briefly vibrates into existence next to Myitt, but can't hold it. He tumbles out of nowhere and onto his back next to Elayne. Mar gasps for air and lifts himself into a sitting position. The spell was asking for too much, but another attempt might be beneficial. He can get this. He has to, or Myitt might be wounded.

Sukohn finally got his shirt off and was able to aim properly as Ossanlin charged him. He tried to slide away against the wall, but his body wasn't responding well. He tried to bundle his shirt up and use it as a kind of shield against the blaster, though if Oss got close enough he'd just hack through Cody's arm. It was all he could do to keep himself from screaming. Or maybe he was screaming. He was definitely starting to panic. The casual demeanor was gone, and right now he just wanted to live!

As Oss got closer, he became an easier target, and Sukohn tried his best to keep hitting the guy. He even increased the power a notch or two for added effectiveness.

Outside, Claxter was starting to get impatient. He would like to hail the Mirage, but he knew he'd get some lecture and would be in dire trouble. Maybe he should hail cody's bug. Though that probably wouldn't get far either. Instead, he just kept waiting, and tried to think up a likely explanation for why he messed up. Again. He swore to himself he would not be a nice guy anymore.

[Gaz]

(I'm a horrible person. There are too many pages to catch up on so I'm hoping I'm not missing anything important.)

"Whatever we find in there," Gaz said, "can't let it get to us too much."

Gaz approached the door and edged inside. She tried to remember her own advice.

On the ground was Morgan; it seemed he was unconscious. Fletcher was strapped down on a table eying a shady piece of equipment above him. Asda was sitting on a chair nursing her lower left wrist which appeared to be broken.

The five other people in the room aside from Desmond jerked upwards, but Desmond raised a hand to keep them back.

"Let them come in," Desmond said, almost magnanimously. "You certainly did not need all the theatrics. I'm impressed with how far you made it without detection. The young lady is more powerful than I gave her credit for, I was in error."

[Chad32]

Temrash was hesitant to just walk on in. He was surprised by the invitation, as it certainly wasn't what he was used to. Parker was insistent that this was Gaz's show, so he looked to her. "I have your back all the way."

[Gaz]

"I appreciate it," Gaz replied.

Desmond glanced down at Morgan with a raised eyebrow. "He lasted much longer than I anticipated. Pity it was such a waste. We'll just have to try again when he awakens."

"What makes you think you'll get that chance?" Gaz asked with a snarl.

Desmond sighed. "Heroics are so tiresome. Fletcher tried heroics once, did you not, Fletcher? Trying to save Silver, and look what it rewarded you with."

"Joining was a mistake!" Fletcher snapped, feeling emboldened by the entrance of his comrades.

"Very soon the memories of your friends shall be erased," Desmond replied, "and soon you will be a loyal member once more."

Fletcher's eyes went wide because he knew what that meant. If they succeeded in wiping him...there'd be no going back. He'd rather be dead than wiped.

"It's a pity darling Andromeda couldn't make it," Desmond said almost wistfully as he placed his hands behind his back.

A voice from the back of the group said venomously, "I'm right here...father."

(*gasp* oh snap!! lol)

(((Okay, I'm kinda bummed now. I realized that even if you guys started the action, my guys would still be waiting on the pod we came in.... grrrr. I have to sit and wait....)))

"Trust me, Desmond. I'm not doing this because I'm a morally upright person who lives by a strict code of doing what I think is right. I'm doing it because I like these people and I hate corrupt governments. I can tell you're the kind of people that treat anyone that isn't part of your group as less than Human. I get that. I was like that once. I changed, but unless you change you're mind you're just as bad as most Loyalists of my species."

[Luke Skywalker (Ossanlin)]

((Chad...it's your call with your character whether you get hit or not...but you didn't say you tried to dodge at all and Ossanlin shot at you with a readied shredder the first time at the same moment that you fired your dracon the first time...he didn't even get glanced, or roll out of the way?  Ossanlin is a War Prince...highly trained.  At this range his shot wouldn't just fire wildly and miss for no reason especially since he already had you covered with a drawn weapon...unless Sukohn moved he would've at least been partially hit.  The second shot would've been a bit more wild due to movement and pain, but Sukohn would still have to dodge it...if you're not planning on responding to my Shredder shots, I'm not going to respond to your Dracon shots, fair enough?))

(I think there's a misunderstanding. He did get hit, but I mentioned he didn't go down due to either painkillers, or adrenaline or what. He's getting hit. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm having all of Oss' shots miss or something.)

[Luke Skywalker (Ossanlin)]

((Shredders do cause nervous paralysis on stun, but if Cody and Sukohn can bull through it with drugs or will-power then so be it.  Ossanlin will bear the pain himself.))

Ossanlin grips one sword with his left arm, the one that had been shot almost through.  Sukohn's dracon burns into Ossanlin's humanoid midriff, but Ossanlin barely notices as the adrenaline pumps through his system.  The pain is there and is horribly intense, but Ossanlin doesn't allow it to affect him as he continues firing the shredder on stun, drawing his left katana.  He closes the distance with Sukohn rapidly, the dracon burning its way all the way through Ossanlin's humanoid torso and lancing across the cabin behind him as he bears down on the infested human.  He strikes forward with his tail at Cody's left shoulder and thrusts forcefully at Cody's stomach with his left-hand katana.  Either tail or katana bore enough force with Ossanlin's charge to completely impale Cody if either connected, but neither would be fatal if treated within several hours, though the pain, if Cody had any pain response, would be debilitating.

((And btw, upper post modified.  I only posted that action to make my point.  Point being made it has been removed.))

Both of Ossanlin's blades connect as Sukohn didn't have room to move. Pain shot through Cody's body, and when Sukohn opened his mouth to speak all that came out was a painful cry. The dracon stopped firing, and was dropped, forgotten in his pain. He slid to the ground, lost and defeated. <I...lost...I...can't...> He thought before losing consciousness on the floor.

(I'll go ahead and have Sukohn lose if you don't want Oss to lose. )

[Luke Skywalker (Ossanlin)]

Ossanlin tries to take a breath but immediately begins coughing as blood sprouts from his breathing slits for the second time today.  The wound in his midriff had instantly cauterized, but the trauma had caused a large deal of internal hemmhoraging.  The pain crashes down on Ossanlin and his weapons clatter to the ****pit deck as he crumples in a heap.  He tries to move towards the main controls but only ends up twitching as his wounds overcome him.  The red smears on the wall from Cody's injuries turn into a red haze...the whole cabin seems to turn red in Ossanlin's eyes, the lids slowly closing.

In response to Ossanlin's critical injuries and unconsciousness, the ship activates a repressor field in the flight-deck, immobilizing both himself and Cody, with the added benefit of halting external and internal bleeding in both the human and andalite, in essence putting them both into a state of stasis.  Ossanlin begins to black out, and sends out a private thought-speech to Myitt.  <<I'm sorry, we're both fatally wounded...I...I can't help you.  I hope you find a way to survive, my truest friend.>>  Ossanlin loses consciousness, his ships shields and engines still active the systems controls on complete lockdown.
