Ossanlin checks his holstered weapons a bit self-consciously.  <You're talking to the wrong person human.  I don't leak secrets to shady buyers.  Why would I provide a complete technical layout of my ship?  Especially since it's the exact same layout as all of our strongest capital-class ships...I think you may have me confused with a person who possesses no ethics.>

"Okay, then," Tamora says, still looking a bit weirded out, "I wasn't aware of the fact that dogs had developed thought speech. Um...Cody? Where did you say those Dracon Beams were?" She glances at the hatch nervously, then back at the dog, "I won't shoot your pet, but I don't feel safe out there unarmed. And no, no ideas. Not really, at least..."

---

Terenia glances behind her and scowls when she realizes that Claxter is following. She quickens her pace, but since she has no idea where Keshin's ship is parked she has no real destination in mind. After a few minutes of aimless wandering she begins to get irritated. With no one else to direct her anger at she whirls around, her good hand clenched into a fist.

"Leave me alone Andalite!" She screams at the top of her lungs, "What do you want from me!?"

Corliss pauses, hearing Terenia yelling loud and clear.

"Terenia?" he yells, crashing through the forest.

"The stash is in the back." He said. He walked into the back room and opened a container with a few extra dracons. He handed her two and closed the lid. "I don't know what Sukohn would think of me passing out his weapons, but he's a pretty mellow guy. The worst he'd do is insist you return them. If you were insistent enough about keeping them, he'd probably let you."

"More and more I'm liking the idea of lying close and blasting a hole in the ship. Though I don't know what might come chasing after me for that, and I've never really flown one of these trying to get away from someone."

<I want what I've always wanted, Terenia.> He said honestly. Then Corliss showed up. <Greetings Corliss. I'm trying to keep Terenia from killing her sister without having to take her into my ship and put her under quarantine. She's in danger of being killed, and insistant on killing her sister. Have you secured Keshin well enough?>

I whined a little as I sat in the corner. Andalite was one of the worst insult I had been called in a long time. In my time morphing had been available to nonandalites for long enough that not all morphers were automatically considered andalites. <I was Human but now I'm a Dog.>

"Thanks," Tamora says, sliding the weapons into her empty holster. She feels much better with their weight at her sides.

"I can pilot," she says, moving back towards the front of the cabin, being careful to give Bear a wide berth, "but The Mirage has its shields up, as we saw earlier. I don't think one Bug Fighter has enough juice to blow a hole through them."

---

"Corliss?" Terenia calls, hearing his voice. She turns back, scowling at Claxter. "Will you just be quiet, Andalite? When did it become your job to stick your tail in everyones business, quarantining them at will? Don't you have a captain to go answer to?"

She glances in the direction of Corliss' voice, "I have business to attend to, and it certainly does not involve you, Andalite. Let me speak with Corliss. Alone."

"Don't worry too much about it, Bear." Cody said. "Yeah, those shields would take too long to blast through. Dang it. Why does this have to be so hard?"

Claxter stood where he was, waiting for Corliss' answer. If Keshin was secure, and he insisted on speaking to terenia alone, he would leave.

While I had been talking to Cody my Human side came out more but with the suprise of the reaction of Tamora and his sadness at being called an Andalite my dog side took over so that now I was really just a sad dog. But I get over things quickly so soon I got up and walked up next to Cody.

Corliss, who is at the moment too far away to answer Claxter without shouting, just keeps crunching through the brush.

He nearly runs into Terenia.

"Oh!" he yelps in surprise, stepping back.  "I...I didn't...I'm sorry.  Are you all right?"

((Luke, I honestly don't remember what you told The Mirage to do. :P So if we get that far, take it whichever way you think would be more interesting / make more sense. :) ))

Tamora shrugs, looking down at the pilot controls, as if they might hold the answer. "When I was on board the ship," she says slowly, "the Andalite told me that I could leave on my own accord. He made the ship respond to me and open the hatch when I wanted to leave. I don't know if it was set to only work that once, or until he tells the ship to no longer listen to me. It may be worth a shot...I don't think that he has been back to The Mirage since arriving."

-----

"I'm fine," Terenia says quickly, taking a step backwards, away from him. She glares at Claxter briefly before turning her attention back to Corliss, "I'd be a lot better if my four-legged shadow would disappear. I, uh..." she hesitates, her anger beginning to drain and be replaced by embarrassment, "I'm sorry about...you know...earlier. I didn't mean to hurt you."

Salem watched Myitt as she left, then smirked at Ossanlin. "Just thinking out loud, Andalite. I wouldn't dream of asking you to give up valuable government secrets. On the other hand, if someone you know wanted to make an offer, I might be able to get them something nice in exchange. Discreetly, of course."

At that point, he heard someone yelling from somewhere in the shipyard. He wasn't really sure, but it might have been Terenia's voice. "Mmm... you gonna deal with that, or should we make for the bar?" he asked Ossanlin. Without waiting for an answer, he turned and began striding towards the bar.

<Corliss, I would like to ensure that Keshin is secure and will not be able to endanger Terenia. Also she seems intent on killing Tamora, and I was wondering if you could convince her not to.> He said. somehow Terenia's mood was already improving in his presence. <Although if she harmed you before, you may not want to be alone with her.>

"It's worth a shot. I'm all out of options." Cody said. He opened the hatch and waited for her to exit so they could try.

((Sorry for the sporadic posting. Life has bashed me in the face with a hammer. That and I'm unsure what I'm going to do here with Keshin. And I'm going to wake Mar up. :D ))

Keshin sighs tiredly once Corliss leaves his sights, leaning against the back wall of the ship. It has been an extraordinarily long day and one that he does not care to repeat ever again. Getting off this nightmare asteroid for good would serve them both well. With that in mind, Keshin wanders deliriously into the ****pit area of the Bug fighter. He then slumps into one of the seats. <Let's wait a little bit to clear our heads, and then blow this popsicle stand. No crazy Bartender can keep me here.>

<Agreed, Kess. Maybe we'll have better luck on the outside. Let's...count this worse than the one with the lobster people.>

<Never mention that again.>

Mar wakes up, clutching his chest as the unfamiliar sensation of his heart beating a million miles an hour kicks in. He looks around in fear and confusion, wondering how in the world he got back in Elayne's ship. He could have sworn he had been...well it was best not to dwell on where he had been. Although, there was a certain vague quality to the whole affair. Was that sleep? How on Earth was having your insides chewed out supposed to be restful with mortals?

There were dozens of images, somehow each worse than the last. Mar looks at Elayne's peaceful expression in shock. They must have learned to deal with the painful nature of these dreams. Mar smiles warmly. Assuming things go well for him, she will like it inside his palace.

Terenia shoots a dirty look in Claxter's general direction, "I am not intent on killing anyone. I didn't go hunting her down. In fact, if I remember correctly she's the one that called out a hit on me. I was just taking advantage of an opportunity that presented itself. You'd be unhappy with the person who shot your arm off too."

Corliss casts a wary glance at Claxter as the Andalite trots into view.

"Keshin is alive," he says guardedly.  "I'm afraid I can't convince Terenia to do much of anything, but if I had my choice, I wouldn't want any more foolish battles over foolish things."

He meets Terenia's gaze.  "It's all right," he says quietly.  "Mike says so, too.  Just...please, don't do it again, yeah?"  He pauses, then looks over Terenia's shoulder.  "Why were you shouting, what's going on?"

---

Myitt tromps along through the forest, lost in thought.

<Keshin, alive after all,> she mutters to herself.

<Well, don't include me in the conversation,> Tara says, sulking.

<I'm sure we'll see them again,> says Myitt.  She sighs.  <I've had quite enough excitement for today.  What do you say we get some rest?>

<Myitt, I think that's the best decision you've made all day,> says her host.  Outwardly, Tara slips into control and grins at the ground, stuffing her hands into her pockets.

She walks toward her Bug fighter, hopping out of the forest and skirting unknowingly around where Corliss and Terenia are talking, walking right past Tamora's Bug fighter.
