Tora is shocked by Ossanlin's reaction. It seems his desire for revenge outweighs his friendship with Myitt, unless he has extreme confidence in his abilities to outmaneuver Keshin.
That would be the case, she thinks disgustedly, glaring at him. It's always a question of whether Andalites are really as righteous as they claim or whether their excessive pride will cloud their judgement.
Even with the shouting of Corliss and Terenia outside, she knows the situation with Ossanlin must be diffused. <<Keep your weapons down; Keshin has a gun to Myitt's head,>> she swiftly tells Corliss.
While she speaks, Keshin responds to the War Prince; it is true that Keshin's human body looks terrible, but that could mean his limbs are under even less control now, and it would be easier for him to accidentally pull the trigger. If anything, Tora is even more nervous about the situation than she had been before. It is apparent to her that she must try to talk the War Prince down, without giving Keshin or Salem any indication that Ossanlin might not shoot. So much for my disguise, she sighs.
<<War Prince, do not look at me or change your expression, if possible. It is the human woman who is speaking,>> she tells him privately, her words quick and authoritative, although her hands are still raised as she watches Keshin anxiously. <<Myitt's life is not worth this risk. Please lower your weapons.>>
Elayne laughs, although she sounds a little flustered with embarrassment. "I'm glad you approve. You'll probably fall asleep in no time." On her way to the other half of the ship, where she plans on changing out of sight, she closes the ship's hatch.
((They're about to get boring, so Kelly and I are leaving them be for a little while.))
