Elayne took the beer, nodding appreciatively, and immediately took a sip. "Alright, thanks," she answered the Director, having no intention of taking him up on the offer.

Turning her attention on Trey, she gave him an encouraging smile. "Things will get better after a few days." She paused, her expression becoming apologetic. "Well, they may get worse at first; you're probably still in shock. But once you have some time to get used to your current situation, you'll be alright." She put a hand on his shoulder. "Need me to look at that head wound?" she asked, and then grinned. "Or, you know, maybe someone who has actual medical experience?"

The Director nodded sympathetically, "Well, I heard the big gardening alien talk about stitches. By the way the girlie over there is rubbing her side, I'd say it was recent. So they must have someone with the proper means to patch you up."

"I'd say use whatever you think is necessary," Morgan replied. "Though my guess is once they know where this place is, they'd try to come back. I don't want to give them the chance."

Fletcher looked up from his screen. "Cortex says he successfully hacked the ship. It's on the way. Will be here in a couple hours. He's going to make sure they don't catch on, or if they do, don't undo his hack of their guidance system."

((Sorry, I miscounted the clip size. fixed.))

Parker nods, "We should get set up. Find a large field far away from the bar so there won't be any casualties. Have the infiltration team hidden in the trees. I'll stand in the open so they'll stay focused on the strange android, rather than scanning the surroundings. I'll be near cover of course. How many men do you suppose will be on that ship? I've got 36 rounds in each clip, 3 shot bursts, so I can take out 12 men in seconds before needing to reload. Do you think they'll have more than that?"

"It won't be a large group," Morgan said, "they never expect things like this. People don't usually go after CG ships. Usually cuz in our 'verse they've got plenty more backup then we would. But here...things'll be different. There's more at stake this time. Your plan sounds good."

Parker crosses his arm in knowledge of a future victory, "Well then, I guess it'll make your jobs even more easy. With the death of their comrades, the inside guards will more than likely attempt to help them. So their backs will be to you. Ha, Morgan, Silver, I think it's safe to say your mother, wife, is in safe hands."

"Corliss, I believe I would like to exit the ship. Terenia seems to do better when she is alone with you." Belzar said. "If you do not mind."

"I am more than capable of getting my mother our of there." she told them and then listened to the news about the ships and then the plans. "I dare them to mess with me in the mood I'm in. If they have had my mother this whole time...." she trailed off. "The saying goes, 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned'." she smiled.

"Never heard that one, but I guess we'll see if it's true." Temrash said. "I think there's a clearing in the woods out there that we could use. Big enough to land a ship in, and small enough that the treeline won't be far even if they land in the middle."

"That sounds like a good idea. We want the ship to be able to land, but not for them to get away. They don't know the area like we do." she agreed.

Corliss nods.  "All right, then, Belzar."  He opens the hatch and extends the ramp for the ungainly robot.

Glancing at Terenia, he seems at a loss.  He clears his throat.  "I suppose we should go back to the bar, if the ship's proved to be useless," he says.  "I can keep trying on my personal link.  But I'm glad we had time to talk, Terenia.  I hope we can resolve this situation with your sister without hurting your feelings too much, or hurting anyone else, for that matter."

"A scorned woman is not the only force that they'll have to deal with," Morgan said as he gripped his drink glass. "Just when I thought there wasn't anything else that they could do to me..."

"Heads up, outlaws!" Fletcher exclaimed. "New message from Cortex. Says our friends will be here in 15."

"I suggest we regroup outside," Gaz said as she stood up.

Morgan nodded and rose as well.

Temrash got up and checked his dracons, which were both in working order. "Let's get this ambush ready, double time."

Belzar exited the ship and made his way to the bar. He wasn't really sure which he liked less: The bar where the tentacle creature had come from that was crowded with lifeforms, or outside with the wind and insects buzzing around. In a way, the inside of the ship had been the most comfortable, although he and terenia had become strained somehow and Corliss might not care for him to remain alone in there.

Parker rose up from his seat as well. He asked Temrash, "So, where's this clearing you spoke of?"

He removed the Battle Rifle from his back, checked the clip making sure it was full. He checked the slide to make sure it was clear and it had a bullet in it. He replaced the rifle with his .50 cal sniper and repeated the process. He replaced the sniper with his shotgun. He pumped the shotgun ejecting the shell already in place. He caught it mid-air and replaced it back in the ammo feed. He put the shotgun on his back alongside the rifle and sniper. He then unhooked a metallic warped piece of metal from his side and pressed a button; a curved double blade of light extended from the hilt. He pressed the button again, extinguishing the blade. He looked to each person at the table and said, "Let's do this."

Temrash walked outside, leading everyone to the field that the Yeerk Imperials had landed in back when Claxter and Efaen were running around together. It was an ideal place, giving them cover and being away from the bar.

"I can climb up one of the trees to get a clear view of the sky while everyone hides, and give a signal when I see something."
