((maybe one of us could PM him first?))

When the weight is lifted the dark figure definitely moves, letting out a semi-conscious groan. In the dim lighting his features are difficult to make out, but as a whole he seems to be in better shape than the dead man was. In fact, he hardly seems wounded at all until he rolls over, exposing a deep divot in his skull that is bleeig freely.

Belzar manages to get the ship tipped back over, though his gears strain with the effort. He's afraid trying to shift the ship may be more than he should be doing in his condition. Now the ship is righted, though, which should help things. He begins to make his way back into the ship to help with anything else.

Elayne's eyes widened when saw the man's head wound. "That doesn't look so good," she said worriedly to Mar. She looked around for a piece of fabric to use as a temporary bandage, but didn't see anything that wasn't already dirty. "Surely there's a first aid kit around here somewhere." Making sure he wouldn't bump his head further, she released the injured man's arms and stood. "Stay still," she told him, if he was even conscious enough to heed her. "I'm going to try to wrap that up, alright?" Moving away from the bridge, she began poking around for a likely place to keep a medical kit.

Belzar reentered the ship and saw the wounded man. "How did i miss that guy? I guess I was focusing more on possible threats than possible wounded. He's leaking fluid from his head, though I guess that would be obvious to anyone."

When Belzar realigns the ship it jerks precariously before falling onto its left landing gear properly. The jerking results in the newly freed unconscious body falling forward and banging into one of the torn up consoles. If he was not unconscious before, he certainly is now.

The lack of lighting combined with the lurching of the ship caused Elayne to trip over some exposed cables, which sent her sprawling back to the ground. Growling a curse, she rubbing her bruised arm, and looked up to see a white box with a red cross on top. "Well," she muttered, snagging the box as she stood, "I'm glad that fall was good for something." She sighed and made her way more carefully past Mar and Belzar to the wounded man. Kneeling by him, she cleaned the wound as well as she could in the dark and wound gauze around his head. "Should we just stay here til he wakes up?" she asked Mar, looking up to him.

Mar sighs a bit, glancing over the wound on the man's head and the utter mess that is the ****pit. Other than the pleasure he gains from assisting Elayne, he really has no desire at all to assist this Treyliss person. I don't know him. I don't care about him. Elayne must be a very empathetic woman, although his head injury could be dangerous enough to kill him. Without proper care any potential uses would be wiped away forever.

Mar nods at Elayne. "We can't leave him unattended, whoever he is. He could die, or his bizarre condition could worsen. And we are aiming for an outcome in which he awakens. Although I wonder if the ship crashed on its own, or if something more happened between the two men..."

"It's possible they were fighting," Elayne nodded slowly in agreement. "It was difficult to tell that man's tone, his voice was so quiet. Well, I suppose I'll stay here with him until he wakes up. He's going to have a tough time making it onto the ground without help," she said, glancing to the bright open doorway.

She looked to Belzar then back to Mar with a sigh. "I wish I could communicate with him. I have a translator device in my ship, but it's wired into the console. And I don't know if it would even work with his language."

As Elayne applied the first aid the man did not move. Once his head was fully wrapped, though, he seemed to stir slightly. The high-pitched chirruping of Belzar's native tongue seems to have managed to pierce his subconscious, slowly dredging him out of whatever pain-wracked blackness he had been thrown into.

Elayne watched the man appear to slowly start to rouse himself before returning her attention to the first aid kit. Spotting a series of small vials and a few syringes, she held the box up to read the labels with the light from outside. One of the vials read "stimulant." "Perfect," Elayne murmured and drew the prescribed amount of liquid into the needle, then gave him the shot. While she waited on it to kick in, she started digging through the box some more for painkillers.

((Huh, Hunter still hasn't shown. Keshin must be standing there with this "Oh fine, ignore me why don't you" look on his face. XD ))

Mar glances over Elayne's work with a bit of a cursory look and notes, "Hmm. That should definitely help wake up our young friend so he can get a bearing on things, although he may be somewhat disturbed. I am not...unfamiliar with the effects of certain chemicals."

Mar then grins a bit, watching Elayne work. "Let's hope the ****tail of stimulant and painkiller doesn't give the fellow problems. You're really quite the jack of all trades, aren't you? It must come of living in space for so long."

Elayne blinked and looked up at Mar, her hands grasping a couple of bottles. "No, not really, I'm just reading what the labels say. Do you think the painkiller will have bad results when mixed with the stimulant?" she asked, her eyes widening. "Maybe I should wait til it's out of his system. We really do need him awake -- he can't be left up here to wake up on his own." She turned her eyes back on the injured man, frowning in concern; she hoped he would wake up soon, as she didn't particularly enjoy being on this rickety, dark ship any longer than was necessary.

((Yay Drugs and Crime class! :3 ))

Mar shrugs, but with a slight grin. He is glad to be of service to Elayne for once during this visit to the Bar. Given the number of times he has inflicted nasty combinations of drugs on his own prisoners, this is a subject he figures he may know something about. "Well..." Mar puts his hand on his chin. "...I'm not exactly a chemist. But a painkiller is designed to weaken or cut off parts of the nervous system from the subject's mind. Some of them are in fact tamer versions of more severe depressants. A stimulant is designed to have exactly the opposite effect. So combining them would either alter or eradicate the effects of the other. Until we know what might happen, we probably shouldn't experiment on someone we're trying to keep alive."

Mar then stares down at the man and nods. "He certainly can't be left in this train wreck, and we cannot stay here either. Neither of us alone is strong enough to pick him up, and we have no idea how to communicate with the machine. If it comes to it, we'll just have to leave him here."

Belzar stood by patiently as the others apparently talked about the wounded man. It was times like these he wished he was a diplomat droid who had a universal translator ship. More realistically, he wished Terenia had come along to translate for him.

The stimulant begins to take affect within minutes, and suddenly the mans brown eyes fly open, staring upward glassily. His features are still hard to make out, but he appears to be quite a bit younger than the man who had died. Only his eyes move, eventually focusing on Marie's face with a pained expression.
