Ossanlin's eyes travel to the human female that had just come aboard, and his eyes light up, his entire face warming.  <Alic!  It warms my hearts to see you again...perhaps more than warms.>  Ossanlin's smile falters a bit as he realizes what he'd just said and in open thought-speak no less.  Rudeness had never been a part of Ossanlin, and that was a bit borderline.

<Uh...yes.  Well of course I didn't want to leave you behind Alic, but you seemed rather pre-occupied.  I have to say I'm very glad you decided to join us though.>  Ossanlin's eyes light up again as he recovers from his faux pas.  <Myitt and Terenia should be joining us shortly, and Elayne as well I believe.  I doubt the Mirage has ever been that full before.>

He reaches out to Mar, sending him a private thought.  <<I thank you Mar, we may need to take a more direct hand in this if things go too far, but I'm very drained at the moment...I can barely even maintain my ascended state without collapsing in exhaustion.  If needs must we repair anything in the timestream...it will have to wait, at least I'll have to wait.  I think Thordon may be able to help if necessary, but hopefully we can directly stop Sukohn from altering time in the first place.>>  Ossanlin senses discomfort radiating from Mar's energy.  <<Ah, you must be in sight of Elayne...>>

Alic nodded at Claxter. "Well it sounds like we will be busy.. I don't think I quite understand everything going on, but I can roll with it." Alic's face turned a deep pink and couldn't stop herself from smiling at Ossanlin.
"Of course I would join you, love.  I wouldn't miss an adventure with you for anything." Finally, some excitement. The bar was getting old, and Earth was her home. At least she may be useful there.

((Sorry I wasn't around last night, guys. I just found out I'm going to be out of town a lot in the second half of this week, so I don't know what we want to do with Elayne. Kelly, if you wanted to have Mar knock her out and stave out the Yeerk (or something even crazier, like we briefly discussed recently), early this week would probably be your best chance, haha. Otherwise, I'll just have her take lots of naps on the Mirage. :P))

<Let me talk to him,> Elayne said to Issid with something close to desperation. Issid was shocked: she could feel her host's heart going out to the strange being, although she could not fathom why. It was not as if she had ever met him before. The memories they had just gained clearly belonged to someone, but not to either of them.

<No, none of that,> Issid said with finality.

<Please!>

Issid growled, <Shut up!> and closed her out. Unbeknownst to her, however, a spasm crossed her visage as they struggled for physical control of her body.

Once Elayne was pushed into the farthest recesses of her consciousness, Issid took a deep breath, and then began in her gentlest voice. "I see no one else, Mar. How could there be someone new?" As she continued to speak, her mounting irritation at Elayne, who she could feel raging against her, gave her voice an edge. "No ship has landed, and no one can exactly walk here." She held a hand out for him. "Let me lead you back to the Bar. Sounds like you need some rest. Are you going on this little off-world adventure with the others? And me?" she added a bit too quickly, as if she had forgotten she was going.

((Nah, Mar actually has no idea that what he's feeling is a Yeerk. Aura-sensing in his world is specific to the soul and not the type of entity. That's why he's getting confused. But on the other hand he might object to Elayne leaving on another trip like that... ;) ))

To Keshin's immense frustration, much of the data on the computer that he finds is encrypted. <Myitt, you paranoid old dapsen. There has to be some way to crack this.>

After a few minutes of attempting to work with the computer's parameters, all that Keshin is able to get is a bit of data on past rebellion attacks and movements. No attacks that will happen, no personal data on the rebellion members...nothing. Keshin slams his fist down on the table. <Dammit! I should have known she would have layered these things with code!>

<Yeah, this ain't workin' out for us. Maybe there's someplace else we can try?>

<...I doubt they'll have anything in the crew quarters. Myitt keeps her communicator on her at all times. And the navigational computer is probably even worse. I guess all we can do is be a public nuisance and try to steal some weapons or supplies. ...at least there's some explanation as to why some of these attacks happened. Maybe I can use this somehow...>

Keshin then wanders towards the front of the ship, glancing around for one last check through the Skimmer...
*****************************************************************************************************
Mar staggers towards Elayne and takes her hand, although he looks extremely unwell. The field is very strong...and there's still something wrong. Mar then nods. "I...I feel terrible...it would help if you could lead me back inside...maybe to the bathroom of this place if there is one. But..."

Mar then shakes his head, glancing up at Elayne worriedly. "...I do not think you should go on this trip. There's clearly someone following you or hanging about in your aura, and we have to find them before they do any damage. This...sensation cannot be good for your health or anyone else who has connections to the higher world. And it may..." Mar coughs oddly. "...begin to effect normal mortals as well..."

Using what she knew of the other Elayne's behavior, Issid squeezed Mar's hand and began walking back towards the Bar with him. Even as she spoke, her eyes scanned the other ships in the yard for one she could possibly use to make her own escape. "I think there is a bathroom in the back of the Bar," she murmured to him. "And... to tell the truth, I do not want to go on the trip with them... even though I am the cause of all of this trouble. If time is already skewed, it cannot be helped by me leaving the Bar with people from my past. Where will we end up--seven years in my past?"

Issid knew that, once she left on a ship with the others, there would be no way for her to break away and warn Sukhon--or for her to even feed without being caught. And the concern she had brought up before Mar was a legitimate one, too; could two versions of the same person exist simultaneously?

Myitt steps on board into the Skimmer's cabin and heads towards the storage room doorway.

<Myitt, we're not alone in here,> Tara warns.

She has just enough time to draw her Dracon and back up against the far wall when Keshin comes striding through the door that leads from the pool room.

((Post for Mar later. Have to get to class. :3 ))

Keshin groans and glances around the room. There doesn't appear to be anything he can use at all, other than the navigational computer itself. He then throws his hands up in the air. "Well...this is it. There's nothing on this ship we can decrypt without taking far too long. Let's get off this boat before anybody sees us."

<We've been here too long, Kess. You never stick in a place for longer than half an hour that's someone else's. Bad idea, and we haven' even frisked anythin'.>

Keshin nods and quickly attempts to move for the exit, frowning and drawing his weapon when he realizes that he heard it close while walking over there...<Uh oh.>

"What the hell do you think you're doing in here?" Myitt hisses from behind Keshin.  Her Dracon is trained on Keshin's torso.

Keshin curses under his breath in Yeerkish upon realizing that Myitt's right behind him. He could theoretically get out of her way fast enough, but that would be wasting a blitz move. And Joanne has been in no shape lately to do such a thing, especially since the two of them aren't in a fight yet. There's also one other problem... <I doubt we can talk our way out of this. Myitt's too smart for that. This isn't good at all. Thank the Kandrona we loaded up on the juice before we got here. Though we don't even know if its worn off enough yet.>

Keshin curls his lips into a smirk. Best to keep that turelek confidence rolling, despite the compromising situation. "Well, you did invite us onboard, you know. When the ship was leaving you rushed us on...though I don't think you were paying much attention to who was talking, eh? We were actually onboard the entire time you guys were chasing Sukohn. And we...haven't left yet."

<Well that'll piss 'er off, Kess.>

<Just doing my job.>
*****************************************************************************************************
Mar stumbles towards the Bar awkwardly, following Elayne along. The nausea is still terrible, although he's getting used to the feeling somewhat. It's clear that Elayne has become a living temporal anamoly, which will probably exist until Sukohn's actions change the timeline. Oh Ossanlin my friend, I hope you figure this out quickly. Right now the two timelines exist simultaneously around her.

Mar then states with a shake of his head, "If you think that is the case...you should not go. You're unstable enough already, my dear. And it may get worse the closer Sukohn gets to the timestream. Sending you to your past should not be a problem...as long as you do not run into yourself. But...the situation is tense, Elayne. ......what...exactl y do you suppose giving this Yeerk the information will do to reality?"

"The invitation wasn't extended to you," Myitt says icily.  "If you think you can skulk around here looking for information, you're out of luck.  Still, I guess I have to make sure."  Quickly she switches the Dracon to stun and fires at Joanne's stomach.

((DOOM! >D ...incidentally, if the human passes out would the Yeerk still be conscious? ))

Joanne simply doesn't have any time to react to this action of Myitt's, despite her speed. Joanne attempts instinctively to turn around and stop the blast, but the gesture is pretty much useless. Joanne crumples to the ground, and Keshin's field of vision thus fades.

<......Joanne? Joanne! ....godammit. I can't leave; that will make us even more vulnerable than we already are. ....I guess I'm just going to have to wait and see what Myitt will do with us. I hate being so helpless...>

Issid led Mar through the door, winding through the chairs and tables with him until they reached a door in the back. Inside was a bathroom complete with a grungy American Standard toilet. "I don't know," she answered him as she continued holding his hand to make sure he did not fall on his face; he truly did look awful. "I suppose... it's a win for the Yeerks."

<He looks like he's about to throw up,> Elayne remarked; Issid realized she must have released the block of her host's thoughts while guiding Mar inside. <Why are you doing this? Are you going to hold his hair for him or something?> Elayne continued with what would have been a dry smirk if she had control over her own muscles.

<Yes, something like that,> Issid answered vaguely as she helped Mar into the bathroom and then released his hand, starting to back out of the room, hoping she was stealthy enough to get out and jam the door before he could notice. She did not need some kind of hyper-aware and concerned being trying to prevent her from leaving the Bar in a stolen Yeerk ship--which is exactly what she was planning on doing.

((I think the books described it as a sort of "dreamlike state" for the Yeerk, where they're conscious but can't make their host respond.))

Myitt quickly steps over to Joanne and searches through her outfit.

A strange packet of liquid, a syringe, assorted cash, crumpled notes of little value to Myitt--no names she knows--a Dracon and a knife...she pauses, considering taking these and temporarily disarming this vile creature.  In the end she leaves them where they are, but takes out the Dracon's power cells with a self-satisfied smirk.

"Come on, there's gotta be something," she murmurs, patting Joanne's jumpsuit down.  "Ah, jackpot."  She pulls out a small holodisc.  "Whatever this is, it's coming with me.  Thank you!."  Pocketing the holodisc, Myitt then puts her own Dracon and the power cells away, dragging Joanne's body to the hatchway.

"Jeez, you weigh a ton, for a skinny human chick," Myitt grunts as she pulls Joanne off of the ramp and lays her down a few feet away from the Skimmer's underside.

"Sweet dreams, kid," she says nonchalantly, hopping back up the ramp, which retracts behind her.  The hatchway seals shut and Myitt taps at the navigational controls, powering the ship.

"Come on, just a short flight, you can do this," Myitt says encouragingly to the shipboard computer, and the Skimmer rumbles up off the forest floor.  It swaggers a bit above the treetops, emitting an awful whine, but it stays airborne.  She pilots it some distance away, not even bothering to retract the landing gear, and parks the ship very close to the Apix Mirage.

"Looks like you couldn't quite crack it, huh, Static?" Myitt says, going over the data on the holodisc and shaking her head.  On her shipboard comm link, she contacts the Mirage.

"Ossanlin, you'll never guess who I just found snooping around the Skimmer.  Keshin himself, what a guy.  Can this day get any worse?  Anyway, is Terenia there?  I told her to meet me at the Mirage.  I think Elayne's off somewhere with Mar, I thought I saw them head back into the building."

Ossanlin smiles warmly at Alic and commands communications open with the Skimmer.  <Well, what can you expect from a bounty-seeker?  Even the smallest opportunity is enough opening for them.>

Ossanlin powers up the outside scanners and sees no other life-forms around the Mirage.  <Terenia?  No, Claxter and Aliciania are with me, but that's all.  I haven't seen Terenia since the Skimmer.>  Ossanlin sighs internally.  <She's still not on-board with us is she?  Figuratively I mean.  I don't know if Elayne plans to come with us or not, it may not be a good idea.  She may influence what time we emerge from the Space Bar's planetoid.  Perhaps Mar can take care of her.  There's something significantly wrong with her...but we've no time to figure it out, we need to get into Z-space as soon as possible. Every second of delay lessens our chances for success.>

Myitt shakes her head, opening a visual two-way communication.  "Damnit, I told her to meet me.  Where could she have gone?  Can we run a wide range scan of the area?  But she may still be in human morph.  Ugh, I don't know why she just won't give in and cooperate."

She pinches the bridge of her nose irritably.  "Yeah, I think it's best if Elayne stays here.  If there is something seriously wrong with her, maybe Mar can help her.  It is quite a risk taking her to her past.  Meanwhile I can certainly try to help you with either the situation with Sukohn, or Terenia's adventure to New Mexico--if that even ends up happening.  Talk about spinning a hundred plates at once...but I will need to hop on board your ship.  I'm afraid the Skimmer's in no shape for theatrics.  Do you happen to have human food supplies?  I can supply what I need for Kandrona."
