((I'm at Logan airport XD  Yes Marie, Dave and I shall scout the area thoroughly...mmmyes s...*evil finger tapping*))

Myitt genially hits Ossanlin on his thin shoulder.  "Right, you couldn't bear to watch us fry, Andalite," she says with a smirk and a little giggle.  "As for your sister, Terenia, I simply can't afford to waltz onto a Visser's Blade Ship, not without the proper security clearances and an adequate backstory.  Trouble is, even if I managed to build up enough of an illusion, I'd also need a new host.  Unfortunately Tara's mugshot and genetic code is quite well known to the Empire."  She shrugs.  "I think our safest bet would be to lure Tamora's Yeerk off of the Visser's Blade Ship with a big enough carrot that she'd want to go, without a doubt.  It would eliminate the need to drag a well known officer and confidant of the Visser, either kicking and biting or unconscious, all the way through the Blade Ship and then hope we'd just be able to make a clean getaway."

Sukohn smiled at Keshin. "I'll keep that in mind." He said. Maybe she would be useful, but he would have to pay her after the job was over. Also he certainly couldn't talk business right in front of his target and her newfound friends. "When you have the time, perhaps we can speak privately about a bit of business in the near future. In the meantime, maybe I can buy you a drink? It seems to be a Human tradition in bars for someone to buy another's drink if they want to be on good terms."

<As far as getting visser Three away from his ship, we might choose a time where he is tending to business on the ground. Since it is an infiltration, he will be running something to gather hosts quietly. Just wait until he is at an important meeting that he can't run away from. Getting Tamora's Yeerk out of the ship could be trickier.> Claxter said.

(I have news! I just landed a new job! I'm pretty sure they're going to keep me on, instead of just working as a temp. I'll be working twelve hour nights, though, so that's going to put a large dent in my activity as I start getting adjusted to working long hours almost every day. But this is really good, because I finally landed something that will keep the money flowing year round!)

((yay! Congrats, Chad! Although I will be sad to see you go slightly less active :( What kind of a job is it?))

Terenia pauses in her pacing, looking frustrated, "yeah, but what carrot? What would be a big enough deal to drag Tamara's Yeerk away from the Blade Ship? Most things he can send someone under him to do. He has a series of Yeerks that work for his department, and they're basically his gophers. They'll do whatever he says, or risk being reported to Visser Three."

((this is bugging the hell out of me. I completely forgot what I named Tamara's Yeerk. Gah!))

((Woohoo! Go Chad for moving up in the world! :) But be careful: days like that can wear you pretty thin. And good luck on that trip you told me about Myitt! ^^ ))

An odd, pleasant smile crosses Keshin's face almost immediately upon hearing what Sukohn has to say. <This is what I was hoping for. Somebody in the Bar needs a job done for them.>

<Woohoo Kess! Let's see how it goes, eh?>

Keshin then glances at Chad and says, "I'd be delighted to speak privately with you at the next opportunity. Though I'm not human, and my host recovered from alcoholism some time ago. Could you perhaps order me a non-alcoholic fruit drink instead?"

Mar shakes his head with a bit of a smirk, throwing his hands up in the air. "It's...complicated. Myitt would say that we are not, and I would say that us becoming one is inevitable after she passes. I am in possession of something of hers...though she does not believe that I have it, or that it exists. Make what you will of the situation, but she is still very precious to me."

Elayne watched Mar with a sympathetic smile. If there was anything she could relate to, it was complicated relationships. "Well, that's not nothing. And who know what will happen in time," she told him, her tone encouraging. Then she laughed. "But for now, I'll enjoy your verbal sparring. Myitt's a riot."

Myitt shrugs.  "What's something Tamara's Yeerk would want so badly he'd leave the Blade Ship to get at it himself?  The only thing I can think of is a band of defecting Yeerk and Andalite rebels, which we happen to have, in a manner of speaking.  Unless...do you think he'd risk leaving if you told him you would only return to Visser Three on the condition that he come and talk with you, on your ship?  Under his terms, with whatever guards he wants, as long as the Visser isn't there?  The four of you are all in this situation together, really: You, Efaen, Tamara and Tamara's Yeerk.  I don't know.  Am I grasping at straws?"

Ossanlin glances back and forth between Myitt, Terenia, and Caxter.  <Hmm...To take parts from all suggestions...I think Claxter is correct...we should act when Visser 3 is otherwise occupied, without Tamara along.  Without him onboard, it will be much easier to operate within the situation.  And a carrot...something personal that he can use to advance would do the trick...>

Ossanlin thinks for a second.... <Invaluable intelligence perhaps, such as the location of the Yeerk rebel base?  Not the real location of course, but maybe an old one that was never discovered?  Or...>  Ossanlin takes a deep breath.  <Or an Escafil device...Efaen still has the ability to pass on the morphing capability through the Escafil device.  Perhaps acquiring the technology for himself and hiding the device before anyone else can find it would be the proper motivation?  This would also require Tamara's yeerk to meet with Terenia to achieve the powers, probably in an undisclosed location...alone.  Of course if he has even three neurons to rub together he'll smell a trap.  Hmm...would there be any way to pass on information to Tamara's Yeerk without anyone else knowing about it, and without him knowing where it came from?>  Ossanlin continues to regard Terenia.

((Sorry Ter....I can't remember what his name was either.  :p  And bon voyage to all who are traveling and congrats to Chad!  :)  ))

(Tamora's Yeerk's name is Zorish. And my new job is at a car part assembly plant.)

<I suppose any Yeerk would want to be able to morph. Of course for that we may need to make something that resembles an Escafil Device. Preferably as much ike one as possible, just in case the Yeerk knows exactly what one looks like. That shouldn't be a problem.>

"Sure. hey Bartender. Get my new associate what she wants, and put it on my tab." Sukohn said. The Bartender nodded in acknowledgement. "We can talk business whenever you're ready, Keshin."

The Bartender shrugs and carefully mixes a peculiar red-colored drink, sending this in Keshin's direction. At best guess it's made of some combination of juice and soda. Keshin sips the drink with a pleased expression on his face. "Mmm. You ever tried this stuff? They always have it at big human celebrations for the kids, but I got it cheap at a bar once before I left."

He then glances at Sukohn and raises an eyebrow. "You seem...markedly different from the Bar's usual clients. Although maybe that's a weird thing to say considering the clients can range from inter-dimensional loonies to Yeerk rebels. How did you end up this far south of the nearest base anyway? South not being literal. I have no idea what direction you'd go in to get here. Maybe sideways."

Mar laughs a bit. "That she is, Elayne. Myitt is...a far more jaded variation than I've seen in many years. It is as if the whole world is on her shoulders and she wants to push it away." Mar frowns at this. "...but she seems far too involved and mistrusting to accept any break or vacation. Let alone from the entity she thinks of as her stalker."

Mar looks at Elayne. "Why did you stop fighting? Did something terribly wrong happen to your rebellion?"

At his comment, Elayne looked to Thordon and chuckled in agreement. Then she turned her eyes back on Mar as he spoke again, putting a hand on his arm without even thinking. "Well, I hope things can clear up between you and Myitt. Even if they don't end up the way you hope they will, perhaps she can lose whatever tension this is that is weighing her down. She does seem oppressed, but of course, I didn't know her before today, so it's hard for me to make much of a comparison."

Suddenly, she realized she had touched him, and she withdrew her hand a little too quickly. Idiot, she chided herself. What the hell is wrong with you, even thinking about having a crush on him. He loves Myitt. And besides, he carries a freaking lace handkerchief. You dumb***.

Elayne reached for her Coke and drained it, hoping the cool beverage would prevent her cheeks from turning too red. She focused on Mar's last questions to get her mind off her stupid thoughts. "If so, it's my fault. I..." she hesitated and then sighed, "I lost the ones for whom I was fighting."

Terenia seems to be considering the proposition carefully, her eyes roaming around the ship nervously, as though she expects Visser Three to burst in right then and there.

"Something along those lines may work," she admits slowly, "Zorish is a respected Yeerk, but if he had the opportunity to gain power over even Visser Three, it may allow his defenses to crack. If he has control over an Escafil Device, that would certainly make him powerful. I don't see how he would not suspect a trap, though..."

<You are desperate for your sister, and have tried time and time again to take her. So just tell him yourself that you have stolen and Escafil Device, and will trade it for your sister. he may think it is insanely illogical, but then you are pretty crazy. You can show him the fake, and he can bring your sister on his terms.> Claxter said.

"....Actually, I'm not sure how I found this spot." Sukohn said with a puzzled expression. "I think I was actually trying to go somewhere else, but was undecided exactly where I should go. Isn't that a laugh? Hopefully I will be able to return as easily as I came. As for the drink, I haven't had it often. I don't drink much juice or soda, I guess. Water, tea, milk, and some alchohol are about the only thing my host really likes. And it's southern American tea. Brown, cold, and sweet as opposed to green, hot, and minty.

Myitt listens, nodding.  "That's a really good idea, morphing ability is the one bone of contention so many Yeerks under Visser Three will not put to rest, even if they'd never say so to his face.  But where are we going to get a fake Escafil?  I mean, I think I've got some cardboard lying around.  Heh.  No, we're going to need something better than that.  I can weld something metallic.  But if we're not really accurate about this, and Zorish knows an Escafil device from a Desbadeen limner, he could just start shooting and ask his questions later."
