Elayne tipped back her own drink and nearly spat it out, having forgotten she had ordered a Coke instead of alcohol. Coughing, she shook her head with a laugh. "I swear... who else could down whiskey without so much as a blink but then choke on soda?" Once she cleared her throat, she looked to Alic. "Do you have any idea why he's here? In my limited experience at the bar, Yeerk Imperials don't always last too long."

Alic smiled in amusement and tried not to laugh. "I probably would too." Then she wrinkled her nose and shrugged. "We all have our own reasons for coming here, usually not for a vacation. Your guess is as good as mine. But no matter what his intentions were, I really don't trust him."

Myitt shrugs, looking up from the wires in her hands.  "You do have a good point, Terenia," she says thoughtfully.  "I've never really been opposed to you returning to Visser Three, anyway.  It perpetuates the unfortunate situation between you and Efaen, but I've seen your mind.  I think your intentions against the Yeerk Empire are pretty sound.  If it were up to me, I'd let you go."  She looks at Ossanlin.  "I say we should."  Then she smiles blandly.  "Thank you for saving our lives, by the way."

She glances back at Terenia.  "Of course, if you do finally accept our help, I would try and help you."

(Well, Fletcher has made his appearance back in the bar. He's just kind of hanging out. If there's someone who hasn't met Fletcher yet he's kinda between average height and tall. Light skin and a mop of red hair, kind of on the lean side. Mid 20s in age.)

Sukohn noticed the girls turning away from him. Surely he Andalite was saying things about him, and he needed to try to remedy it. he wasn't really sure how to make friends with Humans and andalites, though. He was out of his element. He decided to leave them alone and focus more on Keshin.

"So Keshin, you're Impreial friendly, right? What kind of jobs do you do?"

Claxter held his thoughts about Myitt's comment about letting Terenia go. Of course Prince Ossanlin wouldn't have that, so there was no point in saying anything.

Keshin nods calmly, shrugging a bit. "You could say that, yes. I'm a turelek that works for no particular side. What that means is that I do jobs for anybody who can pay me the money and goods I require. I'm fairly well-known in the business, which means that sometimes I'll get pretty difficult jobs. Hell, I'd do a job for you if you were that loaded." Keshin snickers. "...but I don't come cheap, unless it's something pointless. On the other hand I will do practically anything except maybe genocide for the right amount of money. I spent most of my time assassinating, though. Knocking off rivals of frustrated Vissers and Sub-Vissers, or even saving someone for the rebellion."

Mar smiles a bit as soon as Elayne re-enters the room. Ah. The lovely girl from the future is back. Let's see how things are going. Mar sits up from his chair and walks over to Elayne, making a slight bow. "So very nice to see you again, and sober too. How are things?"

"Agreed," Elayne nodded to Alic. "I've had enough excitement for one day; I'm avoiding him for sure."

She turned to look at Mar as he approached her, and could not help but laugh at his bow. Such a formal manner here, so far away from civilization... it's endearing, she thought, then immediately fought the blush that threatened to climb her neck. Amusing, that is, she amended. Her her smile slid into a closed-lipped smirk. "Less bad," she answered him, patting the stool next to her in invitation. "I hope I'm done making a fool of myself for a while."

Thordon looked over from his drink, "Oh if losing one's balance was the only thing necessary to make a fool of oneself, the universe would be full of fools."

((Hey guys, I'll be in Colorado until Saturday.  I should have some internet access, but I won't be on as much, so feel free to "Yeerk" Myitt while I'm not around :P))

((Haha, puns are fun. :P I may be going to Tahoe this coming weekend 'til Wednesday, so I may not be available either. At least Thordon isn't in the thick of anything. ))

((Aw Tara, have fun in Colorado! Be scouting out for our trip, k? :P

And Parker, I'm sure we'll talk before you head out, but have a nice time at Tahoe (I have always wanted to go there!)))

Elayne glanced to Thordon, and her smirk grew. "I agree, but if only that's all I had done," she said. "I didn't exactly intend to spill all my personal convictions regarding Yeerk-human relations." Her lips retained the form of a smile, but she suddenly did not look happy. "I left impassioned speeches behind me when I left Earth."

Mar smiles at Elayne's inviting gesture and sits casually beside her, laying his arm upon the Bar. Now here is a person who has fought hard for what she believed in and made something of herself. By far a more interesting subject to pick apart. Such people tend to accumulate deep wounds along the way, though they push past them. Although...I do hope the lovely lady didn't hurt herself in the process. That would be a terrible shame.

Mar chuckles a bit. "You didn't make a fool of yourself, although you did get drunk." Mar gestures about him. "This Bar is by far the worst place to do so, despite the fact that everyone here is doing exactly that. Heroes, villains, rebels, and ordinary folk mingle here for various reasons, trying not to reveal their secrets. You needn't worry that I overheard your views on the aftermath of your war. I am from a place that has no relation to it. You also shouldn't worry about being hated." Mar gets a wry grin on his face. "A group of Yeerk rebels also frequent this Bar, and I highly doubt they would care. Make all the impassioned speeches you like."

Ossanlin shakes his head a moment in regards to Myitt's suggestion, then favors his old friend with a smile.  <Well I couldn't let an errant electrical wave scramble your neurons.>

He looks back at Terenia.  <Indeed you have no love for the Empire, that's a known fact now.  Be that as it may, you're as much a loyal subject of Visser three as any other loyalist as long as he holds your sister.  As for your concerns for your life...I suppose you have reason to doubt andalites...several in fact, but I care for all life, not just my own and that of my own species.  Besides, you will be quite firmly imbedded in Efaen's head, I could hardly get her to safety without you along for the ride.  And it is obvious that you will not leave without your sister, plans change but I would be loathe to go to all this trouble and give up on obtaining my primary objective.>

Ossanlin looks back to Myitt.  <Terenia will have to go back eventually, but we will have a solid plan in place first.>  He looks back to Terenia.  <Would it be easier to incapacitate Tamora while her Yeerk is feeding?  This is something that we'll have to discuss in detail.  You have all the information we need to know about your sister and her positions as well as the complement on the ship...this will be the most critical portion of the operation.  It sounds like however or whenever you move your sister, you're going to have to incapacitate her.  A dracon on stun I suppose...but you'll have to catch her alone, preferrably when Visser 3 is off the ship.  That leaves the manner of transportation through the ship...>  Ossanlin looks at one of the displays, not really seeing it.  <We need to come up with a way to disguise Tamora's body..unless you think you can get her to follow you to an onboard Skimmer...>

"You value life, yet you risk your own and possibly some of your own warriors for one Andalite female," Terenia's lips twist into a wry grin, "perhaps we have different ideas of what it means to value your own mortality."

She paces the ship, stretching as she goes, her eyes moving across the various displays as though she can understand what they say. She has always relied on her ability to link with the computers via thought-speech, though, and the words are almost as alien to her now as they were ten years ago.

"I have an approximate knowledge of Tamara's  Yeerk's feeding schedule. He tries to keep it varied, but there is only so much you can do with three days. He has a private pool in his quarters which he usually uses, except when he feels like socializing. Then he will use the public pool. It is rare, which is why I have only seen Tamara free on that one occasion."

She stops in front of one screen, pursing her lips at the display as though she does not like it, despite being unable to read it, "Tamara cannot morph, and I do not have any holo-emitters, so I do not know how we would hide her form, but I highly doubt that she would come willingly."

An interesting individual, no doubt, Elayne thought, watching Mar sit. She swelled with a feeling akin to relief that he did not think less of her for her views, most of which she knew many considered hopelessly optimistic. As soon as she recognized the feeling, though, she tried to stomp it out. Since when have you cared what anyone thought, she reminded herself, especially a being you can hardly comprehend from another time and place altogether? Despite herself, a laugh escaped her lips at his final words, and she nodded in agreement. And yet, who better to talk to? a quieter internal voice argued. What can be the consequence?

"Yes, Myitt and I seem to be getting along so far," she smiled. She assumed the playful expression she had seen older sisters take when quizzing siblings on their love lives. "I heard you call her 'Precious.' Are the two of you an item?" The fact that Myitt had been insulting him or giving him disdainful looks half the time did not factor in to Elayne's assumption; she knew plenty of couples who said one thing and meant another.
