Ossanlin watches the somewhat psychotic human for a moment...this bore further investigation, but it would have to wait, Terenia first.

As if on cue, Claxter steps into the bar and announces that Terenia will talk with Myitt and himself.  Ossanlin smiles a bit inwardly...Mar had softened her up, played the bad enforcer, now Ossanlin was clear to step in and provide a level-headed assessment while Terenia's walls had been broken down, to be the good enforcer, as was his intention from the start when he first learned of Terenia's story.

Ossanlin nods to Mar as he steps out, sending a quick private speech.  <<Thank you, I think you have helped my cause a great deal.>>  He leaves it at that, knowing Mar will know what he is talking about and will sense the gratitude.

Ossanlin exits and walks toward Claxter, Myitt, and Terenia at a sedate pace.  <I'm glad you wish to talk Terenia, I was worried that Mar...well Mar is the purely ruthless type, though he is moreso in his true form.  He said some very hard things, many of which may have been true, but let us talk and think about solutions.  I think Myitt's ship would be suitable if she's amenable.  I'm sure you would be more comfortable on her bug than in the Mirage.>

He turns a questioning gaze on Myitt.  <If that is alright, I really think your ship would be best...and I think most of us agree on that.>  Ossanlin nods to Terenia.

(I don't know, Alic. The bar just died yesterday.)

Claxter exited the bar and went along with the group. He knew Efaen wanted him there, and terenia said his presence was optional. He refrained from saying anything to Mar, though he wanted to.

((yeah, idk what happened yesterday. Everyone left! :( ))

Terenia nods her assent to Ossanlin, remaining silent herself. She regards the two Andalites warily, choosing to position herself more closely with Myitt. When she learns the name of the human who insulted her a fiery light dances behind her eyes for moment, as though she wishes to go back and tell him exactly what she thinks, but she reigns herself in and merely follows Ossanlin, her tail lowered.

"Ah, actually Corliss has my Bug fighter, he's gone back to the base with all my groceries," says Myitt, hooking her thumbs into the pockets of her blue jeans.  "But that's fine, his Skimmer is a larger ship, and it's equipped with a proper memory terminal.  Mine only had the portable kind."  She nods at Terenia.  "That is, of course, assuming you're okay with this?"

<Yes, that will be fine,> Terenia says woodenly. She is still somewhat disturbed by the idea of a memory dump. Not that she's never had one before, but that the only one to conduct them in the past has been Visser Three, and that was merely to scorn her.

<Terenia, what if-> Efaen says suddenly.

<Yes, I just thought of that as well,> Terenia responds. She opens her thought-speak, addressing Myitt, Ossanlin and Claxter privately in case anyone else from the bar is close enough to hear, <<while I am willing to go along with this...process...I wonder if it will all be in vain? When I return to the Blade Ship it is likely that Visser Three will conduct his own memory dump. Perhaps not initially, since he does it for pleasure rather than to gather information, but eventually he will see that I was collaborating with an Andalite and a Yeerk rebel.>>

((Corliss is flying off somewhere toward their base x3))

Myitt smiles mirthlessly.  "That could very well be," she whispers, "but that much will already be obvious.  It will be obvious in all of the conversations we've had so far in which you haven't destroyed us outright.  As far as our security goes, though, you still don't know where our base is located."  She walks briskly ahead, quickly heading into the forest toward the clearing where Corliss' Skimmer is parked.

She opens the hatch, which lowers a black metal ramp onto the grass.  The Skimmer's strange, lobster-spider hybrid shape decloaks and sits, curled on haunch-like landing gears, like a brooding insect.  Multiple red eye-like windows come to life and cast a crimson glow against the dark shapes of the trees.

<Why must Yeerks create insectoid ships? I know 've been in this ship once before, but I didn't really notice the exterior much. Is there a sort of efficieny in the design that I don't quite see?> Claxter asked

Myitt steps up the ramp and into the off-white, large cabin, its floor lined with dark grey metal tiling.  She grins at Claxter.

"Actually, most of our ships are designed to above all for efficiency, and secondly to inspire fear," she says grimly.  "But Bug fighters, despite their name, are inspired by the Hork-Bajir homeworld where they were first designed.  All those serrations, the landing gear like Hork-Bajir legs."  She peers outside at the black hull, holding onto the rim of the hatchway.  "Skimmers, on the other hand, are sort of designed like...a little bit like an Earth lobster, I suppose, and like a spider.  But there is a creature on the Yeerk homeworld with a similar shape, called a nirrim.  The name of the ship, in Yeerkish, actually."  Myitt runs her hand up and down in the air.  "It skims along.  One of very few insect species on the planet."  She shrugs and disappears into the ship, moving to the front navigational controls.

To the left is the weapons station, and to the right is another data station for navigation.  The cabin is roomy enough for all three Andalites, with room to spare, perhaps three times the size of a Bug fighter.  At the rear are the two familiar doorways, one to storage, the other to the pool room, the quarters, and the engine room.

Terenia follows Myitt up the ramp onto the ship where she had recently regained her host. She positions herself near the hatch, as though waiting for an excuse to run away, and seems distinctly on edge.

Claxter walked up the ramp with Terenia, and noticed she really didn't like what she was being made to do. <We'll try to make this as quick and comfortable as possible.> He said, trying to give reassurance.

Myitt powers the engines fully, turning when she hears more clip-clopping footsteps on the metal tiles.  She smiles.

"You spent some time in the Skimmer, didn't you, Terenia?" she asks.  "Pool room's right through there."  She nods at the door on the right.  "Door number two, let's tell our contestant what she's won!"

Without saying another word she turns and brushes past the Andalites, uttering a command to open the door that leads to the pool room.  Inside it's still warm and humid, the floor humming with energy.  The lid of the pool is ajar, from when Efaen allowed Terenia back into her own head.

She taps at the computer console across from the pool, next to a couple of the metal folding chairs that Corliss had set up earlier.  A panel in the wall melts open, revealing a chamber with antiseptic, hanging wires.

<<Did Myitt just talk to a door? And called you a contestant? That seems rather odd.>> Claxter said privately to Terenia.>>

(You know I just thought of something. If Claxter speaks privately to terenia, can Efaen hear him? Or vice versa? Of course if he spoke to Efaen, Terenia would know anyway, but it's an interesting thought.)

<Thanks for that, Andalite,> Terenia says scathingly at his reassurances. She decides not to respond to his comment about Myitt, nor to Myitt's comment itself. She enters the pool room, stalk eyes surveying warily.
