Myitt swivels her seat and smiles as Ossanlin and Alic return to the bar.  She even waves at Mar.

"So glad you could join us again," she sneers at the creature who claims to own her soul, and she turns her attention on Ossanlin.

"Of course not, Terenia, Ossanlin is made of tougher stuff than that.  Listen, Ozzy, I really hope nothing has come between us, or between you and my brother.  I feel as though I'm caught in the middle of something, both sides of which are sympathetic, and I wanted to see if there was any way I could help you all reach a compromise."

Keshin nods at Myitt quietly, as if debating her statement. It doesn't tell him much, but it does indicate that Myitt dislikes killing opponents that cannot fight back. <Something in her character, I guess.>

<It's stupid, Kess. Better to hit 'em when they can't hit you and save yourself the trouble later. You let someone live and you just end up fightin' them and their mates.>

<Mmm...maybe, Joanne. Maybe.>

Coming through the door is the Andalite Prince from earlier, his new Warrior, a young female, and a bizarre human man that's wearing an extravagant long coat. Keshin can't help but laugh at how varied the Bar's occupants tend to be, and how makeshift alliances form quickly for the oddest possible reasons. He waves at the group. "Nice to see the Andalite crew's back with their tails still on. Was worried for a minute you'd all been shot by some other bounty hunter."

Mar gives Ossanlin an odd smile. "You have very strong opinions on the subject, don't you? And it is true that slavery causes untold amounts of psychological and physical pain. For the slave. What a peculiar situation the dictator of Hael finds himself in...considering that slavery is considered a merciful action compared to the other possible punishments I could come up with. But still...I suppose the foolishness of what Terenia is doing is clear. She cannot by moral standards drag an innocent into her complicated situation."

Mar then smirks at Myitt. "Glad to see nothing has happened to my Precious. Has the Bar treated you well?"

"I am not," Myitt says slowly, controlling her revulsion, "your Precious."

<Jeez, this guy is starting to sound a lot like Gollum.  It'd be funny if it wasn't so...terrible,> Tara comments.

Mar turns to Myitt with a surprisingly neutral expression, his arms folded behind his back. "...I know that you do not consider my claim valid because your world view does not tolerate such spiritual realities. And because you are afraid I might be right, on some level. But regardless of whether or not you think I own your soul or not, you are still precious to me." Mar says this last statement with some tenderness. "And very few things are. Consider that a curse if you wish."

<Yes sir.> Claxter said, and remained outside to feed. Let his Prince listen to terenia and watch the Imperial for a bit. Though if there's anything good about being near terenia, it's also being near Efaen. <Why did she have to do something so rash?> He said quietly to himself.

"This reminds me of the Hobbit. My host watched it when he was younger. Never watched Lord of the Rings for some reason. Bilbo and Gollum and the dragon. Humans are quite creative with their media." Sukohn said. He noticed the Prince come in, and Myitt worry if she may have gotten on his bad side. He didn't really know what to say about that.

Myitt glances irritably at Mar.  "I don't understand why.  What have I done to warrant such exceedingly creepy attention?  Why does some slimy Bela Lugosi wannabe care about my life?"

"Wait wait. Did you sell your soul or something? Is that guy like the devil? wow, this really is the Twilight Zone. Don't tell me it isn't. I just need to figure out if it's the kind of episode that ends with a Twilight Zone ending or an Outer Limits ending. Hey bartender, get me another Smirnoff. This bottle is empty."

The bartender gets him another bottle, and Sukohn pays him. "Thanks."

"I don't know, okay?" Myitt snaps, in no mood for discussion, especially with an Imperial soldier.

Keshin rolls his eyes and glances between Ossanlin and Terenia. He then throws up his hands in the air. "Are you guys still worrying about that human-Andalite chick? My god this has been going on a while. But then again she's about as cooperative as an angry rhinocerous."

Keshin turns to Myitt and shrugs, lowering his voice slightly. "Whose side of it are you on? You're part of this little group, aren't you?"
*******************************************************************************************************************
Mar laughs, although he doesn't understand the Imperial's reference at all. "You could say that, yes. Although I argue that the creature depicted by the human beings of Earth is a hideous mockery, and thus I do not enjoy identifying with it. I am a creature that controls an aspect of Entropy and suffering. There are a surprising number of Highest of my type. I am attempting to avoid contact with an extremely powerful one right at this very moment."

"As for Myitt's soul...that has been promised to me. Though she does not clearly remember the incident. Best not to cause undue...stress." Mar smirks and circles Myitt. He then states, "I have interest in you because I am in my natural state an Immortal, Myitt. One who keeps a single identity if not personality his or her whole life. Whether you believe that the soul comes again or not, I have known you in the past. And this you I loved dearly."

"Relax Myitt. here, have something to drink." He said, and put the Smirnoff down beside her. he had been pouring the stuff in a separate glass, so there wouldn't be any backwash. "I can understand if you're tense, what with the company you keep. A bounty hunter, an Andalite, and a guy that claims to own your soul. I guess with you being a rebel, you might not be too crazy about hanging out with me either. But that doesn't mean we can't be cool. We could take another seat and discuss our differing beliefs of the Empire. It might be fun. I know bashing the Empire in front of Sub-Vissers and Vissers can get you killed, but there aren't any here to raise a fuss about."

<I never knew you to disagree with the Empire.>

<If I make friends with these guys, I'll seem less suspicious. When I make my move on future girl, I want things to go as smoothly as possible.>

"I haven't been as ...indoctrinated as others, so I may seem unorthodox for an Imperial."

"I'm not on anyone's side," Myitt says, as patiently as she can, through gritted teeth.  "I don't want anything to drink...and I'm sorry, Mar, but I'm not the same person you think I once was.  I don't belong to you.  I just owe you my gratitude for whatever it was you and Ossanlin pulled the other day, when I seem to have hallucinated some kind of out of body experience.  I don't even...really remember..."  She squints down at the bar counter, looking puzzled.

((sorry for the long wait in posts!))

(Balthazar)

"Yes, our weapons technology has only discovered the advantages of Plasma-based weaponry over Lasers, but our spacefaring labs have been where they are for generations." As he said that, he had a subtle hint of pride in his gruff voice.

Since sukohn had managed to make it over to Myitt, even though she refused the beer, he decided to sit down with them. "Hey, Prince Ossanlin's arms are kind of muscular. He could probably wield a big gun or a melee weapon with those arms. That would be wicked."

<Yes, wicked,> Terenia says with distaste before turning to Joanne, <I would be more than happy to drop the matter, but certain people keep changing the rules on me. They said they would not let me leave with an involuntary host. My host is voluntary, and now they are saying that they will not let me leave with a morph capable host. I am not sacrificing Efaen to Visser Three's 'Most Wanted' list just to app-> Terenia cuts off, a look of incredible weariness falling over her.

<You know what? Just forget it. I think I'd rather not talk about it until the Andalite comes to his senses,> with three long fingers, Terenia rubs her temples, as though she can feel the onset of a migraine.

<I hate politics...> she mutters to no one in particular.

"I'd say they're being pretty open minded as is, seeing how you're still alive at all. I mean come on. You're a Yeerk in an Andalite host talking about how mean the Andalites are that they aren't letting you do what you want? The fact that you're even in this bar instead of a small containment room starving to death means they're far more open minded than I figure any Andalite would be. it's like a kid complaining that she didn't get a Barbie doll for Christmas when there are other kids starving on the streets."

"Tell you what Prince Ossanlin. Buddy. You get me an Andalite host and I'll let you stick all the trackers you want in me. I'll call you every hour on the hour. I will kiss the ground you crap on. what do you say?"
