<Claxter!> Efaen shouts again, <get out of here! Go! Get Ossanlin! Leave me here, I'll take care of them!>

Lessat takes the bulk of Claxter's shredder blow in his left arm, rendering it completely useless. Luckily he is right-handed, and he takes more care to aim his shredder, using his thumb to turn the dial up to a more fatal setting and pointing it at Efaen.

"Alright, everybody calm down!" Lessat shouts, "No one needs to get hurt. Now, Terenia and I are going back to our ship. If you want her to remain alive, you will leave. Now. Or my friend here will have to intervene."

Unfortunately, the human Controller's speech is cut off quite abruptly by Aliciana's tail blade, which strikes him quite cleanly through the neck. Lessats face twists into one of surprise and fear for a split second before he collapses to the ground, his head severed from his body.

(Now it would make less sense for Claxter to be immobilized with fear with Thordon and Alic nearby. I'll run with it anyway.)

He had been nearly incapacitated in an instant. His tail was useless. He hadn't even gotten rid of the Human, who was between him and the Hork-Bajir. Fear began running through his veins. He said he would protect Efaen, but he couldn't even protect her from one attack! He barely registered Thordon speaking to him and he stood rigid like a deer in a car's headlights.

How stupid had he been? He knew there had been another, and he still rushed in before finding the other. He was bleeding badly. That and the shock and fear was starting to make him feel lightheaded. He was likely to faint and the battle was just starting.

((well you're also draining power from weapons making other people powerless :p))

Alic didn't stop moving after the human's head fell to the ground and she jumped over his body. She couldn't look down or she wouldn't be able to continue. Although she loved the rush, a headless body was not something she wanted to see.
Without thinking she charged towards the hork-bajir, hoping he would either run back to his ship and leave, or suffer the same fate.

((Parker you did drain the Dracon's energy without any chance to deflect it.  You have to word it so you "try" to drain the energy, so the other person has a chance to dodge out of the way.  It can't be automatic, and it has to be avoidable, or else you can't have that power.  Not fair.  Just so you know!...))

Corliss cruises over the bar, using the computer system to help him scan the ground below.  It takes a few moments, but the violent battleground was hard to hide.  He lowers the cloaked fighter closer, hovering it above the battle, and activates the exterior communications.

Wind from the invisible engines tousles the nearby trees.

"Hey!" he yells through the comm link system.  "It's Corliss.  Up above you.  All invisible and ****e.  I'm going to land, everyone who's injured get the bloody Christ on board!"

The bizarre, black lobster-spider ship decloaks, settling into the grass with its four spindly landing gears.  The side of the hull melts open into a large, rounded rectangular hatchway, and a black metal ramp extends down onto the ground, scattering clods of dirt.

<Claxter, demorph!> Efaen cries, followed by, <You killed him!> directed at Alic, more shocked than horrified. She looks at Alic with renewed respect, but quickly shakes it off, her focus landing on the Hork-Bajir, who looks alarmed at the sudden number of Andalites.

"Dapsen scum!" he cries, slashing his wrist blade at nothing in particular. The blade whistles as it slices the air. He circles, trying to keep a handle on his surroundings.

<Everyone leave,> Efaen demands as Corliss' ship lands, <this is between the two of us. Go!>

((Ok, going to bed now. Will check in the morning!))

((I'm sorry Parker, you should keep your character here if you want, but you just can't have your character able to do whatever it wants that has to do with energy.  It isn't fair to other players, and it is powergaming.  Besides, it's no fun, if you drain the Yeerks' Dracons then they can't really fight except with their fists.))

Claxter was having flashbacks of his first battle when he saw Corliss' ship land and open the hatch. with Alic running between him and the Hork-Bajir, he bolted for the safety of the ship. Once he was inside he began morphing in a far corner of the ship. He felt like the most epic failure imaginable.

((I can't have Thordon there because it would be out of character for him to not intervene. His natural ability is to control energy. He doesn't like violence. There's only one thing he would do, and that's try to end the fight, but he can't, so he can't be there.))

(I think Parker has a point there. He manipulates energy, and there's probably nothing a Human controller can do to save his battery if he doesn't know someone could do it.)

((This escalated much quicker than I expected. o.O I didn't realize so many people cared about what happened with Efaen. I thought she had pissed everyone off except Claxter.

Parker, I personally don't like the idea of my character being forced to have things happen to them, even if there isn't a logical way for the character to prevent something. It just is too close to powergaming for my comfort level, and it also makes the entire purpose of these characters being introduced a bit moot if any and all fighting can just be stopped on a whim.

Okay, now I'm ACTUALLY going to bed))

((Thanks Chad. I just want to clarify, so no one reads any immature tone in my posts, that I'm not pouting. I'm fixing a problem. Thordon was meant to be a non-fighting character anyhow, so this works. I am disappointed that I can't be a part of this interchange, but I want to comply to the Bar's rules.

I understand, but you still had your HB, sure your human didn't have a gun, but the HB could've resisted the repel, or after the initial repel, dodged the next ones. The human could've had a blade of some sort. There are other weapons than dracons. Maybe Lessat gained an appreciation for metal projectile pistols, and had one on him.))

"Claxter, you're bleeding," says Corliss, standing up to help him.  He notices Claxter is morphing, and steps back again, drawing his Dracon and peering out the hatchway cautiously.

"Come on, you lot!" he hollers.

((Parker, I think you've been really mature and I don't mean to accuse you, I just want to help you understand so there's no confusion for anybody.  Thordon can be there, and certainly can be a pacifist who wants to stop the fight, but his powers have to have some fallibility.  They can't work one hundred percent of the time.  He can still try and end the fight, but you have to give people the chance to get out of his way somehow.  Chad, I know his character manipulates energy, but no character here can perform an action against someone else and not give the other person a chance to deflect or let it hit their character.  That's the rule we all play by, exceptions just wouldn't be fair.  In the future you and everyone else should keep in mind that no character should be or have a power that is all-powerful and unstoppable.  That is powergaming.))
