Efaen nods, looking satisfied with Claxter's apology. <Yes,> she murmurs in response to his comment about Terenia, <her situation is...complicated. I am sorry for putting you through all this trouble. I suppose the bar was a fairly peaceful place before we entered it.>

---

"I can figure it out. This looks fairly standard, although a bit newer than what I've used in the past," Terenia says, "the pool Visser Three makes me feed in is scarcely better than that container back there. By the way," she adds, sounding a bit embarrassed, "I do apologize for this whole ordeal, and for stealing your Kandrona. I hadn't intended on it, and I do have some supplies in my ship. You are welcome to take some to make up for your losses. In the meantime, I suppose I am stuck until they return Efaen.

"Yeah," says Corliss with a shrug, "we haven't got much better than plastic tubs when we're out of the base, in most of our ships.  Too many parts for too much risk, to replace every ship's fully computerized pool system.  They break down after a while.  But, we get by.  I feel your pain, mate.  Don't worry about the Kandrona, that's one thing we don't skimp on.  This shipboard unit will last me quite a while yet.  And as for Efaen, why don't you contact her?  I believe Claxter took her to Ossanlin's ship, the Apex Mirage.  It should show up in the link system, a little blue glowey thing, I reckon."

"Yeah," mutters Keshin almost tiredly, staring across the Bar's counter. "Though I doubt that girl knows about whether we live or die. Joanne and me are too insignificant for that on the grand scale. If we killed you, it'd probably just say you were murdered by an experienced bounty hunter. But yeah, she would know whether you guys win or lose. But you know what?" Keshin smiles a bit. "Judging from her state, I'd guess that the rebellion won."

Mar frowns, noticing the odd signature of the woman named Elayne. It looks like it may be difficult to gain his body without assistance, and so he will have to wait for Ossanlin to return. His Precious looks troubled, and so he sends an odd current of warmth in her general direction. This is a difficult thing for him to do, as he can only barely remember the correct emotion to show. Mar then wanders outside, attempting to find both his "associate" and the out-of-place woman. Then again, many in the Space Bar were not where they should be.

((Where the heck have Breekan and Alic been? It's weird seeing them gone. Maybe they got lives. NUUUU! D: ))

"Maybe," Myitt says flatly.  "Maybe because she's a free human armed with a Dracon beam, and her father is all cozy with his Yeerk.  Or maybe that's just the way life is, whenever she's from.  Maybe she's from hundreds of Generations in the future."  But something in her seriously doubts that.  She glances back at the doorway, wondering if Elayne has left.  "Anyway, it's not like she's got a list of every event that's ever happened...though I assume she came here in a ship, which might have records.  I wonder what kind of ship she arrived in."

Keshin blinks. "You know...it would be interesting to try and find that out. If her ship looks...odd, or even a more advanced variation of one of our own, we can safely say that Elayne's telling the truth. It makes sense to me."

Myitt sighs and stares hard at the bottle of booze.  "Okay, let's go talk to her, if she's still here," she says.  "Come on.  Just don't pretend we're best friends over it, okay?"  She smirks and hops off the bar seat, walking toward the door.  Once outside, she stops short.

<Well, that was easy,> she muses, walking a few short steps over the gravel to where Elayne sat, Parker and Hunter standing by her.  She glances out over the shipyard, wondering which of the hulking shapes hidden behind the wreckage was Elayne's.

"Hi," she says sheepishly, rubbing the back of her neck.  "I, uh, I'm sorry about overreacting in there.  I'm just in a sort of tough spot right now, in this war, and I don't think I could bear knowing that all this work, all this death, was for a lost cause."  She pauses for a moment, kicking lightly at the gravel.  "We were just wondering what kind of ship you had."  Myitt grins a bit.  "Still a mechanic, deep down, although it would be pretty telling, when you were from and all that."

Keshin and Joanne follow Myitt outside and stare pleasantly at the new girl. "And we're Keshin and Joanne. We're here mainly for the ride and out of interest. Anyone claiming to be from the future'll definitely catch my attention. Especially since neither of us have very long to live."

Elayne's smile noticeably brightened when Myitt approached her. "Don't worry about it," she waved off her concern. "I was pretty wigged out too. I mean, you saw me, I had to get out of there." She finished off her drink and set it on a nearby windowsill, reminding herself to pick up the mug when she returned to the bar later. "I'm happy to show you my ship but I have to apologize for the little surprise you'll find in the c.ockpit. My pilot died right after jumping to Z-space," she rolled her eyes and started to lead her towards her ship. "I mean, I knew the bastard was old, but come on. What awful timing." She was about to turn to lead her to her slightly battered ship when Keshin and Joanne exited the bar as well. "Nice to meet you -- what do you mean, not long to live?" she frowned. "You're all welcome to come along; you too, Parker. Not much to see, but I don't mean to keep abandoning you. Let's walk and talk," she beckoned to them.

"Ha-ha. I am capable, yes. I know what I can do, and what I can't. As far as Yeerks, nope, no Yeerks. We have Grunts, Jackals, Elites, Brutes, Engineers, Hunters, Prophets, and Forerunners; but no Yeerks, or Hork-Bajir. There's actually an Engineer in the bar right now. He's floating up in the rafters. They're nuetral in the war. But the Grunts, Jackals, Brutes, Hunters, and Prophets; well, they make up what is known as The Covenant. They're attempting to wipe out all of humanity. That's who I was fighting."

Myitt came by and asked to see Elayne's ship. Elayne offered to give them all a tour. "Yeah, sure thing."

"Efaen is on Ossanlin's ship?" Terenia asks, suddenly sounding a bit panicky, "What are they doing to her? They aren't going to hurt her are they?"

She quickly interfaces with the computer, finding Ossanlin's ship in the available links and sends a request to open communications.

Artemis let her father cacth up on times with Gaz and wandered around the bar. There held nothing of interest really, so she ventured outside. She always loved it outside. SHe found a tree nearby and sat down. She took an old fashioned sketch journal from her bag under her cloak and took out a charcol pencil and began to sketch out the scenery. It waspeaceful and it let her mind wander aorund and pnder the things that had all seemed to happen since she entered the bar.

"Yes, I'm pretty sure that's where they took her," replies Corliss, scanning through the rest of Mike's memories.  "I doubt they'll harm her."

Outside, Myitt waves Keshin along.  "See?  It's like a field trip.  Ever have one of those?"  She follows Elayne as they walk through the mess of broken down and living ships.

Parker notices Silver sit at a tree. "Hey, I'll catch up with you guys later." He splits off and walks up to her.

"Wow, that's awesome. How long have you been drawing?"

"Alright, Parker," Elayne nodded to him. She weaved her way to her ship, which was a basic Boeing 2-person -- but not without a few of her own modifications. The shape was obviously influenced by a Bug fighters', with a central pod and blasters extending from its two wings, but remnants from human airplane design were still evident. She typed on the keypad code, and the airlock parted to let them into the cramped craft, which contained little more than a c.ockpit, engine room, and a shared bunk.

Temrash walked outside following Myitt and Keshin, and followed along. He didn't have anything better to do. "My condolences for the loss of your pilot. It's never good when someone drops in the middle of a job, but we can't always pick where or when our lives end."

Claxter noticed a communications coming in for the Mirage. He hesitated to open it because it wasn't his ship. He had already been swift to administer the drugs to Efaen, but he didn't want to act too comfortably around Oss' ship. "Prince, there is a call for you."
