Efaen looks absolutely shocked at the fact that she drew blood on the Prince. For a moment it looks as if she will run off, beg for forgiveness, something drastic. Instead she takes a few deep breaths and calms herself, noting that anything overly emotional is just the vestiges of Terenia's personality and it is best to go on as though nothing happened.
In her small, tupperware prison, Terenia listens to the portions of the conversation she can hear. After Ossanlin's comments she responds in a sneering tone, <and why should I converse with you, Andalite? What have you done to deserve a place in my conversation with Efaen? I am only seeing that you do not corrupt her, like your kind has corrupted so many others. Obviously she isn't quite used to being able to speak for herself. It's best I help to ensure that she doesn't make an idiot out of herself, eh?>
<I do not need your help, Terenia,> Efaen says coldly. She turns to Ossanlin, <For the most part, Terenia has been doing nothing to directly harm Visser Three. Her goal is not to help or hurt him, but rather to keep her sister safe. Of course, she does disagree with the takeover of Earth and as such would like to undermine his efforts, but she is afraid that doing so may result in her sisters injury or death. Instead, she has been working to get her sister's Yeerk reassigned to another Visser, one who is less known for mutilating his underlings.>
<You know, I really don't like it when people talk about me like I'm not here,> Terenia says, <I guess I might as well take the dragon-kid up on his offer. Best to be able to defend myself, eh? Don't worry, kid I won't stay in you for long. I have no use for you as a long-term host.>
Silently, she adds to Efaen, <<I expect my old one will be returning soon anyways. Did you hear the 'almighty' prince? The best he can offer you is a fighter position. You'll be the scourge of Yeerk underlings! Making a mere dent in the Empire!>> She laughs harshly, <<You have so much to look forward to.>>
