"Besides my pride?  No.  Not anymore, my nose was busted a few days ago, just have a bit of the puffy eyes going from that.  Thanks, Asda," Corliss replies gratefully, gingerly maneuvering his left arm to rest it on his lap.  He glances across the bar at his Dracon, lying on the wooden floor.  He sighs.  "I'd like to go on holiday."

Terenia looks at Parker dubiously, <Have you ever even seen a Blade Ship? You would barrel willingly into battle against a completely unknown foe? That just seems like foolishness to me.>

<You're not actually going to tell the Abomination where you are, are you?> Efaen accuses.

<No,> Terenia says, surprised at her own answer, <I need to buy us time. I'll get us back to the Blade Ship on my own. It just may take a bit longer now. But I'm not going to pull them into it. I don't...>

<You don't want to endanger anyone here?> Efaen asked.

<No,> Terenia says, perplexed at the fact that Efaen is correct, and even more perplexed that she has any desire to protect these people she barely knows, <No, I don't.>

<I suppose even someone as twisted as you is capable of compassion.> Efaen says quietly. Terenia brushes that aside, preferring not to dwell on the implications. Instead, she shakes herself from the internal dialogue and addresses Parker once more.

<I just need to make one call. You can even watch me as I do it. I won't lift off my fighter, I'll leave the engines shut off. Here, you can even take my other weapon, if it'll help.> Terenia pulls her other Dracon Beam and holds it out towards Parker, handle first.

Parker waves his hand, disrupting Thor's hologram, and stands "at ease". "That's not necessary. I'm not the one you have to convince." He nods his head back at Ossanlin, "He's the one keeping you here, remember? Were it up to me, you'd be back with your 'master'."

<It would probably be best to allow a call. If we can make it to youre Earth, and Zoshonel's friends are there and willing to help, it should be possible. Although I've never really been on a, um, Bladeship. That would require a lot of planning.>

Claxter stopped himself from looking nervous about a Bladeship. A battle there would be much harder to run away from if things got really bad. But he would be brave about it. To save the involuntary hosts, and possibly get rid of Visser Three would do well to redeem him.

Ossanlin hears a commotion back in the bar and his mind immediately flashes to Corliss and Keshin, both still in there.  He cannot afford to leave, Claxter had run in anyway, that should be enough, he hoped.

<I understand that you will not be able to return to Visser 3 in a different host, that's why you won't return to him if you don't agree to let us help you.  We can save two lives of three here, and that much is a certainty.  Letting you go produces a possibility to save all three, but a much more likely outcome of losing all of you.  However, allowing us to work with you allows a guarantee of at least one life saved with the possibility to recover all three of you, and also free your sister from control.>

Ossanlin watches Claxter return and wants to ask after Corliss but cannot allow himself to be diverted from the matter at hand.  He lets a stalk-eye roam after Alic, his hearts still beating for her as she goes back toward the bar with tears in her eyes.  <Terenia, I know you will not trust my word but I will give it...you will not be killed, however if we cannot reach an agreement, your host will be freed and if she does not agree to let you infest her again under her own will, you will not be allowed to return to her.  We can supply you with a new host and several safe locations for you.  The rebellion can supply you with portable kandrona, perhaps you might consider joining with them.  There are possibilities, but the only one ending with your sister alive and free is the one that involves us helping you.>

He turns his eyes to Parker.  <I will only vaporize your ship if it is absolutely necessary.  There is a point where one must forget niceties and defer to ruthlessness in war.  I do not like to do that, but I will not allow the Empire to maintain control of another morph-capable soldier.  We don't even know if you're telling the truth, perhaps you're a loyalist who needed some fuel and invented a rather engaging story.  If your host must die to keep the Empire from having her, then I will make it happen.  I'm sure she would agree that she would rather be dead than controlled and used against her cause for the rest of her life.  As I said, that is only a last-resort option, but one I am not afraid to use if you push me to it.>

Ossanlin shakes his head.  <We have been more than understanding...mor e than sympathetic, and yet you refuse even to tell us your plans, what actions you are taking.  Are you really taking any or is that just a part of the story?  We need more information, unless of course you refuse our offer in which case you will not return to Visser 3.>  Ossanlin spreads his hands wide in a gesture as if saying 'those are your choices.'  <I am speaking logically and truthfully.  I know you do not trust me, but I do not mislead in this.>

Terenia replaces her remaining Dracon beam into it's holster and crosses her arms, looking sullen. Ossanlin is certainly far and away from her favorite person right now, but the fact of the matter is that he is more powerful than she is.

<You will not be able to assist me,> Terenia says, in a much calmer voice. The anger is draining out of her, leaving behind only emptiness. She has been trapped enough times to know when to stop overtly fighting. <If it makes you happy, I will stay here. For now. As I said, I must return to my ship and send a message to Visser Three, or else he will come looking for me. I don't want to bring an entire army down on this place. You are welcome to follow me and ensure that I do not say or do anything you don't approve of, mighty Prince> she sneers at the last part, wishing that she had more than insults to throw at him.

<It's over Terenia,> Efaen says, laughing. <Soon I'll be free and you'll be in some worthless Gedd.>

<Which won't serve either of our causes very well, will it?> Terenia replies dully.

Keshin looks from the armored man to Terenia to the Andalite Prince and back to Terenia again. The whole situation is so confusing that it just about makes his head want to explode. Keshin smiles a bit at Terenia, grasping his shoulder. The nagging, searing pain of the burn wound is getting to him. They have it slightly better than Corliss does due to the angle, but they need to get this treated and fast. "The things I do to keep us running...yeah, I messed up a bit inside the Bar. But I got him to promise me supplies in the next month and a half. And we'll be wanting by then. We might actually have to invite him onboard the ship at that point."

Keshin smirks at the whole situation a bit. "Okay, so let me get this straight. Terenia's trying to report back to her exceedingly creepy boss because if she doesn't he'll get pissed off and kill someone important. Judging from her expression, that's what it is. And you won't let her leave because she's got an involuntary host. God you guys are self-righteous. ...but honestly I don't think you've got the whole thing straight. Like the fact that I don't really understand why Visser Three would be so set on her having a host that actually inconveniences him more than anything. The guy was a bit of a nutjob, but not that much of a nutjob. He was at least rational when explaining terms and deals and such to outside parties."

Keshin gives Terenia a very strange, distant, analyzing look for the normally laid-back bounty hunter. "I can only think of one reason actually. And I don't like it, and it's occurred to me because it would only occur to someone with my motives for having a voluntary host. But I suppose this affair isn't really my business. Just be careful, okay? You seem to know what you're doing alright, but still..."

<You can say whatever you want about us Andalites in an effort to justify slavery. I'm just not going go along with it, even if I do accept that not all Yeerks are evil.>

Parker nods slowly and says, "Well, I hope you do stay. Since I believe it's clear you're no longer in any immediate danger, I'll return to the bar."

Parker turns and enters the bar. He sees that Raksha has changed her appearance to a more "normal" look. He then sees Morgan staring at a picture, "Hey guy, how you doing? Who's that?"

<Visser Three keeps me around for two reasons,> Terenia says stiffly, <The first is for his own enjoyment. If he's having a bad day he can always test out one of his fun new torture devices on me, with no worries that I'll be permanently damaged. More importantly, though, this host body is invaluable. Visser Three does not want any other Yeerks to know I exist, but he will not remove me from this host either. Even his most trusted lieutenants could not be given Efaen.>

She glances at Ossanlin, not liking the fact that she has to wait for his permission to contact Visser Three, but also not in the mood to pick another fight. Terenia almost completely ignores Claxter's return, having written him off as another lemming of the Andalite cause. She would have ignored him completely, except for something that surfaces in Efaen's consciousness.

<Are you kidding me?> Terenia scoffs, then laughs.

<I have no idea what you are talking about.> Efaen says guardedly.

<Oh, sure. Sure.> Terenia chuckles again, glad that she has found something enjoyable in this situation. Efaen falls silent, clearly too embarrassed to gloat further about Terenia's situation.

Fox then started to talk to the bartender. "That was my first drink ever." Fox smacks his lips and continues: "It's weak. Got anything stronger?" Bartender shacks his head no. "Ok." Fox then looks at the people and asks: "Does anyone know a drink stronger than whiskey?"
