Corliss smiles over at Asda as she walks in, glad that she seems to be doing well--but the bar has erupted in activity, and he pays close attention as Terenia and then Alic storm out of the place. In fact, most of the bar seems to have walked out.
<Something tells me we should go out there,> says Corliss tersely, sliding off the bar seat. <Alic's drunk. I'd hate to see this end poorly.>
<I don't reckon anyone's in the proper state of mind to make any decisions, mate,> Mike says, clearly disgusted and confused.
Corliss walks to the door and watches the shouting match by Terenia's ship, leaving the door ajar.
When Alic pleads a second time for Terenia to consider taking Alic as her host, he steps outside, Dracon drawn but held down at his side.
"Alic, you have no idea what you're doing," Corliss says firmly, almost angrily, walking over to them. "Terenia might not even be from the same world as us. What if you're giving up your freedom to save Terenia's host Efaen, only to find out that her version of Alloran-Semitur-Corass already has a daughter--and it's not you? Even if she is from the same world, how can you do this?" His tone softens a bit, and he takes a few more steps over to the little group, standing amongst them. "You've been drinking, and I know you want to see your father, but this just isn't a wise decision."
