Terenia nods at Keshin in agreement, "I was never much a fan of politics, no matter where I was, or what I was. I'm more of a fan of staying alive and whatnot. Sure, maybe the Empire is wrong. But so are the humans, and the Andalites certainly are. I'd rather just make the best out of what I'm given."

"My host says a lot of things," Terenia says dryly, looking Claxter up and down, "She thinks that the Andalite cause is perfect, that human's are ignorant and Yeerks are evil. She draws very distinct lines, and refuses to see the truth, even though I am living it."

<You make it sound as though I am a narrow-minded fool,> Efaen says.

<You make yourself sound that way,>

<Just because I believe in defeating those who are bent on destroying the universe? Just because I'm not as selfish as you are?>

<Something like that,> Terenia comments.

<I suppose she's like many Andalites. That makes it even more likely that we will have to separate the two of you. Even if I do believe that not all Yeerks are evil, the infestation of involuntary hosts will never be acceptable.>

Puk bares his teeth. It is not a nice gesture. "The rrrrAndyrrrites' hypocrrrisy doesn't rrrexcuse the Yeerrrrks' crrrrimes." His blue hair rises slightly. "Howrrrrwould you like rrrit, yourrrr head prrrried open and yourrr body stolen, and you forrrced to drrrrrag yourrrr frrrriends to be infested with yourrrr own hands?"

<Even this Yeerk's simple gedd understands.>

"Actually that's a Yeerk nothlit that was born a Gedd, and infested his friend. An Andalite recruited them to escape Skrit Na, but it still didn't turn out well." Zoshonel explained.

<Oh. I'd say that's strange, but I think we passed strange a while back.>

"Par for the course, it seems."

Puk's scowl temporarily breaks into a friendlier smile. "rrrIt's nice to be somewherrrre with otherrr oddballs. The Univerrrrse rrris too cold forrr norrrmalcy anyway."

Terenia looks at the Gedd in distaste, "Been there, done that. You don't have to be infested to have your memories pried open, or your actions controlled. I didn't say that the Yeerk Empire was right, I said that it isn't my business. My business is staying alive."

To Claxter, she adds, "Maybe an involuntary host is unacceptable for you, but it is an inevitability for me. If I change hosts I become expendable. If I become expendable, I die. As I told Corliss here, I would be happy to take on a voluntary Andalite controller if one existed. The truth of the matter is that I need this host for Visser Three to find me of any use. It's the only way to keep close to my sister. Sacrifices have to be made."

<And if we rescue your sister, you will not require an involuntary host?>

"We could rescue your sister, and exchange her for the Andalite female. I even have some powerful allies on Earth now, but they don't know if they are from the same Earth as you. If we knew, then we could save your sister."

"No!" Terenia practically shouts, slamming her drink down on the table so that it splashes up her arm. She ignores the cold, pink liquid as it drips off of her skin, focusing instead on Claxter and Zoshonel, fixing them with a cold glare.

"I do not want your help. I do not want any help." She says in a voice that is somewhat calmer, although it is obvious that she is still struggling to control herself. "Leave me alone."

<Temper, temper,> Efaen teases within her head, causing Terenia to tense up even further.

<Shut. Up.> Terenia hisses silently, <You know as well as I do what would happen to us if Visser Three suspected anything was amiss. Or have you forgotten?>

Terenia plays back a memory to Efaen, one that makes both of them grimace inwardly in pain. It effectivel quieted Efaen, leaving Terenia to focus on Claxter and Zoshonel with a somewhat strained look on her face.

<It's going to happen. You will be separated from the Andalite. Now do you want to help us rescue your sister, or waste time struggling and whining because you're afraid of having your sister be killed instead of living the rest of her existance in a fate worse than death?> He said. He knew that if he antagonised her, hat she would demorph and become more dangerous. However, he didn't want to subdue her and wind up with her host becoming a nothlit.

Parker leans back and says, "Claxter, remember the guy that came in here, and started making demands? Yeah, you're becoming that guy. Leave the situation alone."

"You put yourrr prrride beforrre the rrrrAndyrite, then?" Puk glowers. "rrrrWhen I rrrwas young, in the last days beforrre they starrrrrted farrrming us rrrratherrr than hunting, any Gedd rrrrwould give his life to save his band frrrrom rrrinfestation. rrrrWe once caught a male named Drrrrak, who trrried to give away ourrr position to the Yeerrrrks for betterrr trrreatment afterrr capturrre." Puk takes a sip of his reddin and looks into the glass. "Ourrrr alpha female ate his thrrrrroat."

Alic sat up in surprise at Terenia's outburst, and suddenly she wished she was closer to over hear the conversation. Taking another drink, Alic shook the bottle slightly, noticing she was halfway done. Great... She was positive that standing up wasn't going to be easy, or graceful.
What Alic finally did understand between what little bits she caught, was that this human-yeerk had this andalite involuntarily. Well, stupid. Why couldn't she see that earlier? No sane andalite would let one of those parasites in.
She couldn't be allowed to leave. "Oss..." Alic was talking just low enough for him to hear. "We can't let her walk out with that body." And she took another drink. How careless of her to be friendly to Terenia without thinking.

<What? I'm that guy now? Well what in the Homeworld am I supposed to be fighting for, I ask you? Seriously! What am I going to be fighting the Empire for, if it's not against involuntary infestation? And yes she's working for the Empire. You tell me that.>
