Morgan observed what was left of where he had been sitting. He scratched his head between his two horns, shrugged and moved over to a new place.

Asda said, "Captain, I'm going to go back to the ship."

"Sit, Doc," Morgan said, "relax for a moment. You spend too much time in that place."

"I work on a pirate ship," Asda said, "where else am I going to spend my time?"

"Well," Morgan said, "It's quiet for the moment. Sit and have something to drink."

Asda thought a moment, and then slid into the seat next to Morgan at the bar.

Morgan slapped down some coins and said, "A new rum, and whatever the lady wants."

"I'll have a coffee," Asda said.

Corliss grins over at the minotaur and the medic.  "'ey, Morgan, who's your mate there?"  He gives a little salute to Asda.  "'Lo, my name's Corliss."  Almost unconsciously he finds himself keeping mental tabs on Joanne/Keshin out of the corner of his eye.

Asda turns, smiles and says, "I'm Asda. Ship's doctor."

"See?" Morgan said, "Aren't you glad you stepped out of sick bay. You get to meet new people now. People that aren't bleeding."

"It IS a nice change of pace," Asda admitted.

Puk nods enthusiastically at Corliss. "Prreased to meet you, Corrrrrlis," he says, returning to his falsetto. He accepts Parker's handshake. "Puk!" he says. He waits for a moment, holds his head, and frowns. "Gorrrrt doesn't feel mrrruch rrike speaking. He's had rrra rrrong day. But we'rrrre both prrreased to meet new people." Puk sighs. "And the rrrrrobot's not my frrriend, rreally. Morrrre rrrof rrra prrroject." He then looks back to Corliss with particular curiosity. "Nowwrrr, Rrrrhat's this rrabout raa yeerrrrk rrrrresistance?"

The S.S. Beasthammer scrambles up to the floor as soon as it finishes cursing. It takes its seat again, clearly frustrated. It stands tall as Claxter speaks to it, clearly pleased to receive the benefit of someone's doubt. "Yes! You're particularly canny for an Andalite. We ran into one of your people not too long ago, but he refused to acknowledge the glory of the Helmacron Empire, mighty and-" something whirrs threateningly in the Beasthammer's chassis and it lets a sigh out of its intercom. "-and respectful of interplanetary sovereignty."

"So you are a Controller," says Corliss politely.  "It's interesting to see a mutually respective relationship between a Yeerk and a Gedd, there are very few Gedd-Controllers amongst our little band, unfortunately.  And if you really are a Yeerk, are you telling me you haven't heard of the civil rebellion against the Yeerk Empire?"  He pauses and switches to English for a moment.  "Man, we really need better PR..."  Switching back to Galard he continues, "Well, you might be loyal to the Empire, but I'd find that quite strange, considering you claim to be a Gedd speaking of its own volition.  The stuffy government big wigs don't really take kindly to that sort of thing."

He looks back at the S.S. Beasthammer with a grimace of disdain.  "Does he...um...do they always have to shout like that?" he asks the Gedd.

((Yeesh, I fall behind so quickly. I'll keep going with Ardiss on the other thread. No worries. Sorry if I'm not replying super quick...you all post so fast!))

Terenia nods in a friendly way towards Parker. <It seems like all of us have ended up here without meaning to. Wonderful.> She sighs a little, <I guess I may as well make myself comfortable then, until I can track down some fuel.> She scuffs her foot and adds, with rather un-Andalite sarcasm, <Like that'll ever happen, with my luck.>

She listens to Claxter's story in silence, and ignores Ossanlin's curiosity towards her own origins. It is too soon for her to be pouring all of her precious secrets into the heads of unknown Andalites. She unconsciously edges towards Joanne, Corliss and Parker, feeling somewhat more comfortable around the humans (or supposed humans) than the Andalites. Ossanlin especially is somewhat intimidating, and she is sure that she has heard of him before, or seen his holo. That fact makes her nervous, and she does not want to be recognized herself. Best to stay under the radar, as it were.

((Just a little background info, Terenia would have a warrant out to kill/capture on sight with the Andalites for being traitorous, so there is a chance any military Andalites might recognize her, and Empire Yeerks also might know her.))

Corliss turns and nearly jumps a mile, noticing another new and female Andalite.  "Christ," he breathes, patting his chest as if that will calm his hammering heart.  "It's a bloody Andalite jamboree."  He clears his throat, taking a breath and trying to relax while he addresses this new person.  "Who are you, then?"

Parker looks to Corliss, "'Andalite Jamboree'? There are only four of them. There's been an average of 4+ Yeerks the whole time I've been here. Looks to me like the numbers are starting to even out." Parker added the last bit with humor in his voice.

"Yeah, Parker, but it's just so...so odd!  I'd expect a bunch of slugs to hang around a dive like this, but Andalites usually have better things to do."  He grins a bit.  To Terenia he replies, "Nice to meet you, Terenia, sorry if I'm a bit jumpy.  Been a weird sort of few days.  My name is Corliss Three-Eight-Two, and my host's name is Mike Leicester.  From Earth, you know, reckon that's obvious."

That was strange, Alic thought, that this other female andalite also seemed uncomfortable with her own kind. Alic also preferred the company of humans.

Terenia.. The name has come up somewhere before. Nothing that seemed of any importance to her so Alic decided it was nothing.

<I agree Corliss. Having a few yeerks around is one thing.. A bunch of andalites showing up is something new. As far as me having somethug better to do.. Sure. I know of somethin I should be doing. But I prefer to be here.> Alic couldn't help but have a permanent glow due to the affection Ossanlin was giving her.

Corliss laughs, beaming at Alic.  "Well, mate, you know we've all got better things to do than hang round this place.  But it's hard to stay away, eh?"

<Yeah, I had figured,> Terenia says. <So, this is a slug hangout, eh? Maybe that means I'll have better luck than I had hoped. You wouldn't happen to have any fuel fit for a Bug Fighter stored in your back pocket?>

Terenia continued scanning the bar carefully with her stalk eyes, making a mental note of each different creature that she saw. She was surprised by how bustling this seemingly insignificant - and obviously very unique - place was.

<Sheesh, there's more characters here than at a Star Trek convention.> She comments.

Parker kicked his head back in surprise, "Star Trek? Wow, that's an old show. Ancient, rather."
