[Myitt]

"Guy named Lorenzo LaFauci, he was stationed in Korea in '44 and '45," says Myitt.  "And yes, I am a parasite.  I know it's unusual, but several others here are like me and my host.  My people are called Yeerks."  He nods at Temrash.  "Temrash over there is one of them.  His host is named Jagill, of a race of people called Hork-Bajir.  Trust me, I can add a lot to your list of weird, normality-shattering ****.  But we're friends, and we won't harm you, you can trust me on that, too."

Temrash moved a bit closer to Cutter. "Why are you holding a piece of burning paper in your mouth like that, if I may ask?" The smoke coming from it smelled slightly acrid, but he had smelled far worse.

(My friend Patrick actually started smoking some time after joining the military. I told him he was supposed to chew gum, since I had heard gum sales go way up during war time. He said it doesn't do enough, though. But hey, we've both changed over the years.)

"LaFauci. Don't know him. Sorry" he said to Myitt/Tara "Also, what do you want me to call you? Myitt or Tara?"

Turning around on his bar stool, he saw the giant lizard guy walking over. As he got closer to him, he finally comprehended the blades that were poking all out of it's body. Staring wide eyed, if he hadn't placed the smoke in the ashtray, it would be burning a hole through his pants.

Leaning back to speak to Myitt, he muttered "Remind me to never annoy this guy." Clearing his throat, he said to him "I smoke because of **** like this," he indicated to the bar "And to mainly calm my nerves."

[Myitt]

"Huh, oh well.  You can call me Myitt."  She glances at Temrash.  "And he may look mean, but he's a friend, too.  If I were you, I'd probably smoke, too."  She laughs a bit.  "So where were you from, back home?"

[Chad32]

"One must find some way to keep from becoming a nervous wreck during war. either that, or embrace insanity. I'm not really sure how sane I am, though. I keep cool with some alchohol, and some medication from time to time. But I don't mean to come off as too intimidating for you. I realise this is all a bit much for you."

[Hunter]

"Where am I from? I was born and raised in Minnesota, but I was stationed in Hawaii." Taking another drag of his smoke, he stubbed it out in the ashtray, and he took a swig of his drink, which just happened to be exactly what the pirates next to him were drinking.

"What about you, Myitt? What state you from?" he asked her.

"Whoa, hold the phone for a second" He blurted out before she could reply "If you're from 2003," (it still sounded weird to him) "Then if I lived through the war," he did some quick mental maths "Then I'd be 84? I wonder if my son is still around?"

((lets just say that before he got thrown foward in time, his soon to be wife was 3 months preggers, k?))

((Honestly I don't know why Ossanlin would go to Earth...can't really come up with a good reason.  Of course I can bring Celebrin back into the bar...or Seran I guess...IDK, can't really think of a reason.  I'll leave it up to Patty.    ))

Ossanlin turns to look at John with his main eyes, comprehending the conversation and mulling matters around.  <John Cutter...it is indeed possible to perceive time as a dimension but it can be pretty messy to play with.>  He darts a glance at Mar.  <It might be possible to place you back into the timestream at your proper time, but there's no guarantee it would work...or that you would make it through the timestream in the first place.>  Ossanlin swishes his tail back and forth as he always does when in thought.  <Then there's the question of alternate existences...well, I think it would be a bit too risky.  You should only shoot from the hip if you don't have time to aim.  It would probably be safer for you to try to...adjust...to the way things are now.  Myitt's right...there are people here who could get you back to Earth.>

Ossanlin smiles a bit and keeps a stalk eye on Cutter before turning his main eyes to Alic who had been very quiet.  He places a hand on hers on the bar counter.  <<You probably want to go don't you?  Well I wouldn't hold it against you.  I'm afraid if you go though, I'll have to tag along.>>  His smile grows a bit warmer, showing he wouldn't feel the mock annoyance he's portraying in his thought-speech.  <<I suppose I'd have to try out my human morph again.  The mouth was rather enjoyable...taste.. .speech...though I believe there is one thing I'd like to try that I haven't gotten to just yet.  Most humans display affection by pressing their mouths together...it seems strange and somewhat awkward so I'm curious as to why they do it.>>  Ossanlin arches an eyebrow at Alic questioningly.

((Make it at least 3 months preggers, because you can only start to tell if it's a boy or a girl at 12 weeks minimum Semantics, I know..XD Edit: and that's only chorionic villus sampling (CVS), I don't think that or ultrasound for telling if a baby is a boy or a girl was around in the '40s...oh well, I'll be quiet now XD))

"Yeah, I guess you could try and find your surviving relatives," says Myitt, glancing down at the bar counter.  "My host is from Boston, Mass.  Don't really have much of the accent, though.  I wouldn't mind visiting Hawaii someday, gotta love the palm trees and the warm weather, huh Minnesota boy?" She smiles a bit.

Mar nods at Myitt and stares at the young man, stranded in their time by sheer bad luck. Mar then says to him, "With assistance myself and another could attempt to send you back to your own time, as he said. However...the war and time that I think you should be from may be a drastically different place than the one I knew. Also...I would only be able to send you to a location I've actually been to before unless you allowed me to read your mind to pinpoint where you were. And it would probably be a very bad idea to send you in particular to where I was. Much in your world has changed since that time, but you are still human and your country still lives. Adjusting might be possible if Myitt assisted you."

(If Temrash goes, he's likely to track down V3. which means Alic and Temrash would likely get into a fight. If nothing else, Oss could come to make sure Temrash doesn't kill Alic.)

"Palm trees, huh? So Hawaii is a forest? What do the Palm trees taste like?"

Thordon sits quietly, listening to the conversation. Talks about travelling to a new planet interested him. "I wouldn't mind coming along. If four arms freak the populace, perhaps I could remedy that."

Thordon sits "Indian-style" on the barstool, closes his eyes, and slowly, his bottom arms wither into his body. He opens his eyes and looks around, "How's this?"

[Myitt]

"That's very Hare Krishna of you, Thordon, and a little bit Lilo and Stitch; nevermind, it looks fine," says Myitt.  "Temrash, I'm no longer in the habit of eating trees, so I really don't know what a palm tree tastes like.  But I imagine it might not be too bad.  Hawaii is a lot of humid forests, and a lot of volcanoes and beaches.  The islands literally are massive, spread-out volcanoes that have grown up from the ocean floor."  She glances at Cutter, wondering what his response will be to the prospect of trying to return to Earth--in his time, or otherwise.

[Darth Revan]

Thordon twists himself around while trying to get a view from behind. "Thank you Myitt. How you scratch the middle of your back with just these arms?" Thordon begins reaching around while trying to scratch the newly apparated itch.

Thordon's attention is peaked when Volcanoes are mentioned. "Volcanoes, Sijris is covered in volcanoes. Most of them merely expel heat as there are so many, but still, I would love to see this planet that seems to have found a healthy balance."

[Myitt]

"Very carefully," Myitt replies to Thordon with a laugh.  "Yes, there are quite a number of volcanoes on Earth, but they're spread out along certain coasts and other areas of crust plate activity.  Most of the planet is salt water, and there's a large diversity of ecosystems and wildlife."  She brings up her computers holoscreen and shows Thordon a number of images of the planet.  The Himalayas, Egypt, rural North America, the Amazon rain forest, New York City, Paris, London, Uluru, Mumbai, Antarctica, Hawaii...the variety is beautiful, and maybe a bit overwhelming to the uninitiated.

Thordon looks upon the image with a curious surprise. Almost like he recognizes the planet. "This planet looks so similar to my own! Though we don't have the same civilization expansion that the humans do, but I could swear we were looking at Anarion. Our lands are a bit bigger, and obviously shaped differently, but the similarities are incredible!"
