"Well, Gaz went off for some 'honest' pirating, came back with nothing, and soon some Insectoids in uniforms barge in looking for her. I'd say they were likely officials of some kind. Maybe the type all criminals are equally evil. Not really stopping to notice Gaz is one of the more sociable partakers of illegal activity I've met." Temrash said.

Myitt laughs.  "Hahah, Temrash, you of all people should know that illegality is a matter of perspective.  Maybe Gaz's crew is going round stealing stuff to give to the poor, or whatever?  And depending on who you ask, my entire way of life is obscenely illegal."

"Obscenely?  Are we really that bad?" Corliss wonders aloud.  "Obscenely...hmm..."

"You wanna ask the Emperor?" Myitt jabs.

"No, not really," says Corliss with a wry smile.

Mar grins a bit. "What counts as obscene for a Yeerk is not something  I can claim to understand, Myitt."

Mar calmly relaxes in his seat and glances out the window. "I wonder when they're going to end the fight. It does seem to be taking an extraordinarily long time to kill the monster. But then again, it didn't look easy from where I was."

"And that is why I'm staying nice and cozy in here," says Corliss cheerfully.

"The definition of obscenity to the Yeerkish people also equally depends on who's asking," Myitt replies.

"I'm certainly not going to judge Gaz and company harshly. Any Yeerk in our position is doing illegal things, according to the Emporer, but as far as I'm concerned he can go jump in front of an Andalite platoon. Or she. What I know about Gaz makes me think she's alright. Though I don't know her completely, but then she doesn't know me completely eaither."

((Okay, it's decided that I'm going to bring in my 16 Worlds character, Thordon. Do you guys want a character sheet, or do you just want me to describe him in an intro post?))

Gaz had overheard the conversation and raised her glass of rum in their direction.

To Morgan, Gaz said, "I didn't quite get the whole story from Fletcher. Why did you maroon him?"

(gotta go get lunch. I'll add Morgan's reply later)

(Just give us a little intro in your post.)

"Do you think the bartender will expect me to pay for that drink I ordered earlier that the Human never touched? Has anyone ever gotten into a fight with the guy?"

"He'll expect you to pay for it if you offer to pay," says Myitt.  "But the bartender isn't the type to come out and fight directly.  This place has more subtle ways of dealing with delinquency."  She laughs softly and looks down at the counter, shaking her head.  "Do you need some cash?"

"He was being a pain," Morgan said, "I just dumped him off and was going to come back for him in a few days."

"Understandable," Gaz replied. "Well...I got him now."

"He's still a member of my crew!" Morgan replied.

"You dumped him," Gaz pointed out. "Even if it was only for a few days so you wouldn't launch him into the black. My cousin may be a pain, but he knows how to get the most out of a ship's engines."

Morgan looked like he was going to try to say something when Gaz interrupted with, "Take what you can and give nothing back!"

Morgan contemplated this and burst out with a deep, resounding laugh.

Inside the bar, the air begins to stiffen. It has a stale taste to it. A point in the middle of the wall, next to the actual bar, begins to cackle with electricity. The sparks and arcs of electricity grow and expand. It creates an ellipse with nothing but darkness in the space the ellipse encompasses. The ellipse grows until it reaches the ceiling and spans 6 feet wide.

Slowly the darkness begins to lighten and shift. A metropolis can be seen through it now. A single form standing in the middle of a half circle of smaller beings. Beams of light connect from the small creatures to the lone figure; and spots of light can be seen flying wildly in front of the figure’s silhouette. The scene becomes more in focus and the single form can be seen in more detail. It looks like an ordinary human, except for the fact that he has two sets of arms; one set is in the normal spot connected to humanoid shoulders. The second set is placed lower, also connected to shoulders, but these are in the middle of the torso, over where one’s kidneys would be.

The humanoid is moving his four arms, very grace-like, in a strange pattern, the light seen flying in front of him is actually emanating from his hands. The ellipse stops shimmering and the arcs of electricity disappear. The beams of light connecting the “man”, and the creatures, fade; as does the light coming from his hands. Now the humanoid opens his eyes and suddenly has an odd, confused look on his face. He rotates his head slightly as he observes the insides of the bar. He slowly stops his gestures and crosses both sets of arms and places one hand over his mouth as though he figuring something out.He straightens his posture, drops his arms, and walks through the newly created portal in the wall. Afterwards, the portal begins the shudder and dissipate.

He stands to a full 6 feet. He looks to be a tanned Caucasian, moderate build, but his muscles are well defined and toned. He wears a simple black short-sleeved tee shirt and black jeans. He has light dirty blonde hair that is about 3 inches long. His eyes are a vibrant, bright blue; and, if you look carefully, his irises almost seem to have arcs of electricity travel around their circumference.

He shifts his eyes, scanning the bar with caution, and calculation. He looks to a large reptilian creature with blades along strategic points on its body and gives a single wave of one hand and says, “Hi.”

For the first time Myitt seems to notice that Gaz's friend Morgan is in fact a minotaur, and she grins and holds up a finger to her friends and her brother.  "Hang on, I'd like to interrupt their conversation for a minute."  She walks over to Gaz and Morgan, still smiling broadly.

"Hi," she says.  "You're Gaz, and you're Morgan, right?  I just realized I haven't really talked to either of you much, and I wanted to see if you knew how that human kid was doing.  You know, the one my host donated a couple pints of blood to."  She indicates the rolled up sleeve of her jacket, where the crux of her left elbow is still bandaged.  "Gonna be a bit of a shiner, I guess the old veins aren't what they used to be."  Since her right arm is also clearly bandaged, but for different reasons, it appears this isn't something too unusual for her.

Myitt stands there waiting for a response, momentarily distracted by her host interjecting, <Real smooth, that's how I make all my friends.  By comparing bruises.>

<Oh, come on, you've seen Jaws, all the tough people like to compare their battle wounds,> Myitt says matter-of-factly.

Corliss looks over at Mar and Temrash, eyebrows raised.  "So.  How 'bout that sports team we all root for, then?  Bit of the old Liverpool FC, eh?"  He smiles.  "Don't suppose you follow football."

At that point a portal opens in the bar and a humanoid man walks through, looking completely bewildered.  Corliss glances idly back at him.  "Beginning to get used to that," he mutters.

Myitt looks over at the man, blinking.  "Hi, there.  Now that's an entrance," she giggles and turns back to Morgan and Gaz, noting that the newcomer looks more confused than dangerous.

"Nice entrance." Temrash said in his usual Galard. He gestures to a seat at a nearby table. The creature doesn't seem to be armed, though he does seem able to work some magics. Temrash regarded him with a calm gaze, though he remained facing the creature.
