Belzar had begun wandering around since Zoshonel left with the rifle, and found the Skimmer. He noticed Corliss talking to the Engineer. "Excuse me. Do either of you know how far this location is from the Unrer Sector of the Galaxy?"

(The Unrer Sector would be a well known location where Belzar is from, but he doesn't realise that he's in another deminsion, so there is no Unrer Section.)

Corliss blinks at Belzar, confused.  "Unrer?" he repeats.  "Maybe I've just never heard of it, but I think you're a very long way from home."

"Perhaps the portal they were making is a long range transportation system that shot me to another galaxy. I suppose that should not be surprising, given the strangeness of this place. The locals must put a lot of effort to make the scenery look like real plant and animal life."

Ossanlin clicks his tongue a couple of times.  "Well 'Christine', nice to meet you."  Ossanlin still appears a bit jumpy, but relaxes a bit.  "Three to one that's a dracon beam you're gripping in that hand.  I suppose the fact that you introduced yourself as Christine says something.  Most Imperials don't acknowledge their hosts as true people.  I should know, I used to be that way.  If you don't want to give me your designation that's fine."

Ossanlin shrugs a bit in his chair.  "Honestly a place free of Imperials and Andalites would be a blessing indeed.  This doesn't exactly look like a haunt for either.  I wonder...do you know anything about the rebellion?"  Ossanlin chuckles wryly.  "I'm sorry, I'm being blunt as a spoon...but if you're not an Imperial, you must be a renegade, and if anyone knows anything about the rebels, it's renegade Yeerks."  He shrugs again a bit, appearing to relax a bit further, though that hand still appears to be clenching Ardiss' dracon.

<It's obviously a trap,> Ardiss hisses silently, <He wants to know if I've defected.>

Keeping up the human charade, Ardiss softens her face into a guilty smile. She pulls the Dracon Beam onto her lap sheepishly. "It's for protection," she explains, "you never know what sort will wander in here. I haven't been here very long and you wouldn't believe some of the things I've seen."

Ardiss shifts slightly, allowing herself to look more comfortable, while remaining wary, "That's the uniform that Imperial Yeerks wear, isn't it?" She glances at the insignia, "I don't know much about any rebels. There's always talk of stuff like that around here, but I don't pay too much attention. I like to keep to myself."

That much was true, at least. Ardiss was feeling more and more uneasy with the situation. While she waited for Ossanlin's response she began searching through Christine's memories, something she should have done when she first gained the host. She was out of practice at "acting human", something she had never needed to do aboard a Blade Ship, and she did not know this host well enough to effectively imitate her just yet.

(man, it has been forEVER since I posted here)

Gaz, Fletcher and Morgan, having been gone for quite some time, walked back into the bar. All three of them looked tired and slightly frustrated.

After taking on the cargo ship with little success, and more defensive weapons then they anticipated, both ships backed off and found a target that put up less of a fight.

A couple minutes later members of Morgan's crew came into the bar, got their drinks and found a table.

The two captains and Fletcher took up their usual space at the bar. Three rums were paid for and readily taken.

"Once the repairs are made to the ship," Gaz said, "I may have to make a trip to see Cortex. If that's what cargo ships are going to be like, I need some new gear."

Myitt keeps listening to Ossanlin and Ardiss.  "Hi, Gaz," she says, still distracted.  She wriggles her fingers in a little wave.

Mar frowns. He looks up from his reverie at the very strangely dressed "marine" that seems to have been watching events this entire time. He seems vaguely familiar, but the signature's far too weak to be what Mar would recognize. Hmph. Might as well take a chance.

Mar walks up to the strange, colorful Thodol and states, "Just exactly who...are you? You've been in the Bar for some time, but have done nothing. I am called Mar here, as a manner of introduction."

All the while he can't help but grin at Ardiss' conversation with Ossanlin. She seems as suspicious as always, so he may have trouble dropping her guard.

(Engineer)

Corliss takes the transponder and turns it over, whistling.  He looks up at Lighter then Some.  "This is bloody brilliant, mate.  What's your name?  Do you understand me?"  He pats his chest.  "I'm Corliss."  He pauses, not wanting to confuse the creature.  "And Michael."
-
The Engineer could indeed understand CorlissMichael, but answering would be difficult, although Lighter then Some didn’t usually need to try and communicate with those around it as it was usually amongst its own kind.

It was pleased to be of help and that was really all that mattered to it.

(Thodol)

The Chaos Marine turned his gaze to Mar, sensing that there was something different about this one, he smirked beneath his helmet at the others introduction.

“I am Thodol the Devout, and you are correct, for I have not done anything other then observe.”
The large marine tilted his head to the side, as if listening to something only he could hear; he nodded once and looked Mar up and down, sizing him up.

“Ah yes. Now I know why your aura is familiar.”

Here's my new character!

----

While flying over the Bermuda Triangle as an Air-Escort for a British Lancaster Bomber in a P-51 Mustang, Corporal John Cutter of the USMC, he and the bombers were on their way to an air-raid on a remote Japanese held island in the year 1944.

As they were about half way through the Triangle, his planes instruments went haywire and he blacked out. Regaining consciousness, the first thing he noticed was the screaming of his planes engine as it struggled against the wind.

Shouting “Oh ****!” to no one in particular, he reached forward to grab the planes back rudder control. Struggling with all his might, he managed to pull his plane from the dive. Panning his plane away from the trees, he all of a sudden got light headed. Shaking his head to clear it, he looked around for somewhere to land.

Seeing a short patch of land nearby, he guides his plane up for a landing. Releasing the landing gear, he doesn’t notice the left wheel getting jammed and not extend all the way down. Easing the Mustang down, he touches down.

As the jammed wheel hits the ground, the left wing digs into the ground and the force of the impact throws John around in his seat. Hitting his head against the ****pit window, he passed out again.

Thor looked to Parker, <Sir, sensors picked up an impact outside of the bar.>

Parker nods silently. He leans forward and places his hand on Zoshonel's shoulder and whispers into his ear, "Hey, thor picked up a crash outside, I'm gonna check it out. I'd appreciate some back up."

Parker then got up and strolled outside and Thor directed Parker to the location of the crash. He followed in the general direction where the child guided the woman who stayed in the rafters.

He continued following Thor's directions until he came upon an ancient US Air Force plane's wreckage. It was smoking and partly on fire. He sees the left wing torn off and dug into the ground and the nose of the plane buried in the earth. Parker notices the ****pit half-filled with smoke and a red spot where someone could've hit their head.

"Thor scan for life signs."

<One life-sign present, weak, but present.>

"Good." Parker then balls his fist and punches the top of the ****pit. His fist punctures the acrylic canopy and he tears off the front piece, revealing a single pilot unconscious with a head wound.

Parker takes him out of the ****pit and carries him over his shoulder and runs back to the bar. He busts through the door. "I need a doctor, or a med bay. We have a pilot bleeding from a head wound."
