Parker was cutting up the scaffolding, when he heard a whistle behind him. Parker whips around to see the Engineer awaiting instruction.

"Great! You made it." Parker kneels to get to "eye level" with the Engineer. "Is there anyway you can create actuators from these parts?" Parker gestures toward the ship graveyard, "We want to make targets to shoot at, and I was hoping that some of them could move back and forth or up and down. We have upwards of 5 targets: one on the tree there," Parker points to Hunter posting his target, "and we're hoping to place some in the background and maybe lower in the foreground. So what do you say buddy; can you help us?"

Ossanlin smiles back at Aliciania and smiles a bit wider at the pressure from her hand.  Strange that not so long ago he had truly regarded her as a child...no longer indeed.  He thought she might have graduated the academy by now had she gone there.

<Well, perhaps we'll have to visit Earth some time.  Unfortunately I don't know that that will happen until we fight off the invasion.>

Ossanlin looks up and watches as the bar patrons move a short distance off towards the ship graveyard.  Parker, Hunter, Zoshonel, and the one known as the Engineer were drawing what appeared to be targets.  The modified human's strength coupled with motors in his suit was astounding indeed.  If humans had this technology in his own reality, the Yeerks would have a run for their money.

<Interesting, it looks like they're preparing to shoot inanimate objects with their projectile weapons.  A form of accuracy training perhaps?>  He turns another small smile on Aliciania.  <Is this something you're familiar with?>

The Engineer chirped a response and immediately moved to the 'ship graveyard', there were plenty of parts, plenty of materials for what the human wanted.

Lighter then Some began to expertly strip ships of the parts it needed, placing them in a pile before moving to another ship, within a few minutes the Huragok had aquired what it needed and, moving the materials off to one side, began assembly.

Occasinally it discarded a part or selected a new one from the scrap, it soon assembled one of what the Spartan wanted and began another after moving the newly made one aside.
The Engineer whistled happily as it worked on a second, pleased to be of assistance.

((Thinking of bringing in an Ork or something else from the Warhammer 40K universe, maybe a Space Marine!))
((Then we'd see what type of augmented human'd win! Spartan or Space Marine?))
((Personally,my moneys on the Adeptus Astartes, they'd pwn a Spartan, even the MC))

Alic briefly thought of the few friends she had made on Earth, and hoped that they were still safe. She wiped the thought from her mind knowing she couldn't do anything about it right now anyway.
Following Ossanlin's gaze towards the small group, Alic grinned. <A different form. I don't tend to use weapons, I'm a more hands-on kind of fighter. Someday I'll show you the techniques I've been working on.> Not that she could use them on him, it would have to be done as human.. And she wouldn't stand a chance against him without her tail!

((Ooh, human fighting technique training for Andalites? Cool.))
((I don't really know anything about the Adeptus Astartes's abilities. Do you have a link so I can read up? Beware, if you haven't read the books, you have no idea what a Spartan can do. Especially since I have an AI in my suit. With the AI, my abilities are amplified.))

Parker sees the Engineer head off to create the actuators and staging for the moving targets. <Wow, I guess so.>

He heads back to Zoshonel. "Okay, so the Engineer is working on the moving targets, so where should we place these? I think it should center around Hunter's main target. What do you think?"

"Yeah, we'll set them up in a pattern around Hunter's target. When you're ready for skeet shooting, as you called it, I can be the thrower. I'll also keep score of shot by making marks on a piece of wood."

"Why not see if the Engineer can set something up? He seems like he loves to work on tech stuff. He's always super quiet until I see him working on some sort of tech. When he's working, he chirps and bounces. He might like it. That way you'd be able to partake as well."

"Oh. Well. I don't think we need to ask him to make a machine just to throw stuff. I mean, I don't mind. You see, I don't actually know how to use handheld firearms. Unless it's a gun emplacement on a ship, I don't have any firing skills. So I figured throwing would be my thing."

"I thought that was the whole point of setting this up? Unless you don't want to learn how to handle fire arms. I guess we could we keep the skee shooting analog. It's up to you."

"Hey, no problem. After all, I do need something to occupy my mind from the fact that I can't return home. And what better way to establish a new purpose than to help others, huh?"

Parker friendly clasps Zoshonel's shoulder. "So let's see how the Engineer's doing with our actuators and staging, and set this baby up!"

"Yeah!" Zoshonel yelled. He was getti ng more excited at the prospect of learning something new. Even though he didn't think he would need small firearms very often, it was much better than sitting at the bar, watching people talk to each other.

((Heya Chad, Corliss asked Temrash a question a little while back x3))

The clouds above the bar streaked like pulled taffy as something large and well, nearly invisible, flew through them.

Whatever it was, it was large enough that it parked itself a bit away from the ship graveyard; there was simply no room amongst the jumble of parked ships and rusted, forgotten hulks of metal.  The only evidence of its landing was a backwash of heated air which rustled the trees nearby.  A few clods of dirt and grass were squashed by the ship's invisible landing gear.

The invisible Imperial Cruiser ship's hatchway opens and Myitt foregoes the ramp, sliding down the side and onto the ground.  The ramp retracts, dejected, and she murmurs for the ship to close the exterior hatch.

Brushing her hands off, she surveys the jumble of machinery leading up to the bar.  She makes her way through them, passing by Parker, Hunter, Zoshonel and the strange Huragok creature.

"Howdy," she says to them, pausing for a moment to watch what they're doing.  She looks worn down, the big bruise on her face has turned greenish and better than it looks.  Her torn black jacket has been replaced with something equally crappy, also black, but cleaner and less full of holes, and it still bulges out in her right arm, where the bandages are.

For once it appears she's showered and changed her clothes, this time the same army boots but with some blue jeans and a Led Zeppelin t-shirt underneath her coat, but it's hard to tell because her hands and a good portion of the jeans and shirt are covered in dried stains of viscous, black grease.  She smells nicely of pine sol and a mechanic shop.

Some distance away she notices Ossanlin and Aliciania talking outside the bar, and she waves to them frantically before turning abruptly to Parker and crew.

"What's going on?" she asks, gingerly rolling up her sleeves.  "Target practice?"

(Sorry. I missed it.)

"Corliss. Buddy. Try to stay on the same page with me. I have a LOT of connections. People, resources, and all that. Getting Kandrona is not a problem with me. Getting trustworthy people to take care of Ardiss and Christine is not a problem for me. Loyalist Yeerks are a small problem, and the andalites in that area are known for avoiding Human casualties. It won't be without risks, but it is not implausable. The worst I can see happening is open war, or the Andalite fleet showing up. In those cases, my allies will get her out just as quickly as they'll be getting themselves out."

****************

"Hey Myitt. Nice to see you're doing well, though you don't seem to look a whole lot better than before. Hey. Did you happen to bring Ardiss' ship back with you? I know that you don't like her much, and were kind of rude the last time we asked about it, but we'd still like it back. Though I really don't know how you Yeerks deal with things like that." Zoshonel said. "And yeah, these guys are going to teach my how to fire a weapon, and we're going to shott stuff! Nice, huh?"

((Hmm....let's keep her stuck for now, because I'm not in the mood to create a new character just yet.))

Ardiss scowls at Corliss' obvious lack of faith in her, "I could stay hidden well enough. The Empire would not catch me."

<Corliss sure is a paranoid Yeerk,> she adds silently. She figures it is not in her best interest to state such things out loud.
