"Ooh, skee shooting, I haven't done that in forever. Good idea. Yeah, 5 should suffice."

Parker walks over to the pile of scaffolding and begins cutting stands and an array of staging for the targets.

Breekan frowns and drags his seat next to Keirdan to keep an eye on him, though he eventually tears his full attention away from the boy as he sees the situation become more hopeless. He grins at Corliss. "Glad you folk will be able to recover; is there anything any of us can do to pitch in?"

Drops his glass, it fortunately landing on the bar with a thud rather than shattering due to it having only have been a few inches up.  He looks over at Corliss and Shal for a moment with a brief look of surprise.  "Myitt..?"  After a second or two he shakes his head and turns back and mutters to himself.  "No... no, cant be..."  Shakes his head again and puts more coins down for another drink.

"Huh? You don't know a Yeerk named Myitt, do you? Host named Tara? What was her designation number, Corliss? I'm not always good with numbers." Temrash said.

"Is Myitt returning to the bar?" Ardiss demands, suddenly rather interested, "Is she bringing my ship back?"

"Thanks Breek," says Corliss warmly, "but unless you have access to a lot of expensive shielding tech, or unless you can single-handedly eradicate the Council of Thirteen--those members with whom we disagree--I don't know if you can help."  He pauses.  "Can you do any of that?"  He shakes his head.  "Anyway, just offering to help, we really appreciate it.  You know Myitt does."

Corliss turns in his seat and narrows his eyes at Zarris.  "One-Nine-Five," he says distractedly to Temrash.  "Zarris, how the bloody hell do you know someone named Myitt?  It's not exactly a common name.  At least, not outside of the Yeerk Empire.  And Turkey."

He glances at Ardiss.  "I don't know.  Maybe," he says impatiently.  "But I'm afraid it will be a blank slate, all data erased."

Shakes his head.  "Sorry... number doesn't mean a thing to me.  I knew a Myitt once, a long while back..  Can't be the same person though... Just an uncommon name is all, aye."

"Very uncommon," says Corliss, clearly still disturbed.  "You're sure this Myitt person wasn't a Yeerk?"

"I could probably get you some shielding tech, though maybe not of the grade you really need. Or get a scientist that could make you some shielding tech. But that would be quite tricky as well. None of the things I do require the kind of shields to defend a place from an entire fleet of enemy ships." Temrash said.

"If Myitt comes back in your ship, Ardiss, you wouldn't be able to take off in it alone. I'm not ready to let you get too far from me yet. You have to prove that you are reformed, and are no longer brainwashed by the ideals of the Council."

"It takes a lot of time and sustained energy," says Corliss flatly to Temrash.  "But we'll see if we need your assistance."

To Zarris, he replies, "Yes.  Who was it?  I'm curious.  And she'll think it's hilarious, even though there are already thousands of other Yeerks running around with the name.  And a few Turks."

((Sorry I was gone for so long. Curse you, life! XD ))

Mar glances at Zarris oddly, tilting his head. "You've met someone with the same name as the one I love? How...odd, especially considering you're not the person I would expect to know a Yeerk. What were they like?"

Mar frowns, overhearing another conversation. He then looks at Temrash, stating, "She may be brainwashed but I can't picture her posing too much of a threat. The Empire wants her dead and she's unlikely to do anything with a ship but run away."

"I am not brainwashed," Ardiss says coldly, "and I would prefer that you stop acting as if I'm going to jump you the first chance that I get. I would not benefit from harming you. As the multi-dimensional guy said, I don't exactly have a welcome wagon waiting for me anywhere."

<If I lose my ship, there is going to be hell to pay,> Ardiss comments mildly.

"No," says Corliss, feigning patience, "but if you run back to them with enough information about rebel Yeerks or Andalites, you might be able to win back their favor."  He grins a bit.  "If you're lucky.  You have to understand, you haven't exactly given me much reason to trust you, other than your status as an Imperial exile, and your supposed dislike for your old career in the torture business."

Breekan offers a strained grin. "If I'm going to assassinate anyone, it'd be for nice folk like you, but I don't know how impressed the backbone of the Yeerk empire is going to be against some guy with deep pockets, no matter who his dad is."
