"Just switch to beam weaponry. It's more efficient and cost effective." Temrash said.

"Not everyone needs to shoot laser beams, you know." Zoshonel said teasingly.

"Only the smart ones."

Zoshonel hissed in response, and Temrash hissed right back.

Shal shrugs and bites her lip. She's completely unsure as to what's wrong with Keirdan.

Keirdan stares up at Breekan, and opens his mouth to speak. He hesitates a moment, closes it, and walks away from him. He drags a chair next to the main entrance to the bar, and climbs up onto it. He pulls his legs up to his chest, wraps his arms around them, and rests his chin on his knees. He stares in silence at nothing in particular.

Danika goes over to where keirdan sits, and tries to comfort him. She rests her head next to him, and purs softly.

Keirdan doesn't respond to Danika. His eyes begin to drift from bar patron, to bar patron, never focusing on one for more than a few seconds.

Breekan stands slowly, bewildered. He looks over to Shal and asks, semi-helplessly, "Sis...?"

Mar glances worriedly at Keirdan's condition. He has as a variant a certain fondness for innocence and dislikes the pain of even obviously mutant children. (Although, he has had to kill them from time to time. So unfortunate).

"The separation of the consciousness of the mortal avatars is deliberate and unavoidable. I create them to spread my power in the universes that they inhabit, and yet work as an inhabitant of that universe. It allows for a certain versatility that's impossible when you know you are the avatar of a higher being. They've found their separate ways around the limitations of this shape."

Mar glances off awkwardly. "Honestly, I feel a bit incapable by comparison. Are you sure that boy's alright?"

"I think you should take him home." Danika said to Breekan. Though she wasn't sure if the siblings even had a home, nor did it seem that this place was easy to get away from.

Parker follows Mar's gaze, "Seems there was something in his shirt that wasn't agreeing with him."

Parker glances over wordlessly to Zar, his eyes rest on him for only a moment, and he looks back to the child.

"I hope he's alright." Parker turns back to Mar. "So, what was this avatar designed for? Did you always know about your connection?"

Shal shakes her head, and stares at the boy. She has no idea as to what might be wrong with him. She glances over at Breekan, unsure of what to do.

The stranger's gaze slowly moves from her bottle and gently rolls across the shapes and colors of the room until her eyes fall on the child sitting by the door. Despite her lack of affection for children a very warm and unexpected smile forms across her emerald lips making her green eyes shine with genuine happiness and continue to sparkle for a few moments before her gaze returns to her bottle. She shifts in her seat until her legs are crossed at the ankle and her back is pressed comfortably against her booth seat.

Ossanlin finishes off his fermented grass drink and takes another look around the bar.  So many inhabitants again, some familiar, some not, but business was good either way for the BT.  He looks for Alic and can't find her face in the crowd, she must've remained in the Mirage...he began to get a bit worried for her.

The  shimmering blue andalite turns to the exit and steps outside again, looking over at the Mirage.  His tail swishes, a bit agitated as he starts out toward the Mirage and then stops, thinking better of himself.  Instead he contents himself with contemplating the sky and the strange, warped configuration of stars.  He can't help himself but to wonder how Myitt is and what she's up to.  He hadn't received any communications from the Tyrennian so he had assumed that his ship was assisting in the evacuation or transport of rebel Yeerk forces.  Hopefully things had gone alright, everyone said it had been a bit hairy, but no one died except maybe a few Yeerks.

Ossanlin sighs again, watching the stars shifting in their odd patterns.

((I know I know I know!! I'm horrible lately with replying I'm sorry!! I supposed I need to become more active! I don't know everything going on, even though I've been read it, but I'll try and pick up best i know))

Alic sighed and decided to head back into the bar. She had just spent a lot of time in the Mirage doing some thinking about leaving the planet, but had no plans for what she would do after she left. Alic stepped down the ramp out of the ship, hoping there was no drama going on inside.
Not too far from the Mirage, Alic noticed Ossanlin. She smiled and made a quick trot his way.

Breekan shakes his head sadly at Danika. "I'm pretty sure their home isn't even in this Universe; Keirdan said I 'lost them in the wavy place.' But, maybe that just means I switched Universes with a different me." He frowns at Shal. "Sis, you can nod, right? If we found a ship, would there be a home we could take you to?"

Shal rubs her eyes, a wary expression crossing her face. She half-shrugs, unsure of anything right now. She pulls out her palmtop computer, and types in, "I don't know where we're from. Only the boy does. My ship could bring us back."
