(I remember Terenia went inactive right after Ardis started having something to do besides swim in circles around a pool.)

"I guess I'm still used to people being widely impressed or afraid of me, unless they're familiar with my better side."

"Forgive you? There is nothing to forgive you for. You saved me. These little flesh wounds will heal quickly enough." Asmodee said.

:...Not offend...:

Cale was still edgy though, this was a full grown human and taller then himself, possibly stronger with the armor.
The Poleepkwa eyed the humans hand and took a quick step back, he glanced at Hunter

:...Returning to ship, visit if you want...:

Cale collected the Cat Food and scuttled off, skirting around the human, before ducking out the door and heading for his ship.

He paused at the interior and activated the Suits remote system, causing the empty Exo-suit to come to ‘life’ and returned to the ship, where it entered its reserved bay.

((Not leaving, just putting the Cat Food in a nice little hidey hole))

Keirdan again glances at his siblings. "They won't let me," he responds flatly.

"Don't worry about it, kid," Gaz said, "I'll make sure to bring you back something cool."

Before Gaz left she dashed back over to Keidran and gave him something. "Here's a communicator so you can call me while I'm away. You can call me or you can call Morgan. We'll be back soon, kid."

Gaz and Morgan went to the respective ships and prepared for lift off.

"Fletch," Gaz said as she slid into the seat at the helm, "we have a ship to catch."

Keirdan takes the communicator, and looks around the bar. He sits on the floor and begins to hum to himself.

((sorry about that. It's life, unfortunately :( ))

Ardiss scowls at her beer as if it has offended her. For a long while she is silent, listening to the banter between Corliss, Temrash, Mar and the others. When she breaks her silence it is with a bitter tone.

"All I wish for is to be left alone. I need enough Kandrona to survive, my host, and a ship. Let me make my own way in the galaxy. I have spent my life a slave to the Empire, doing their bidding. Don't take my freedom from the Empire's morals and handcuff me to your own ideals instead. Let me be. Let me make my own way. That is what I want from you, Temrash, and anyone else here who claims to have a stake in my life."

Ossanlin trots down the bar closer to Asmodee.  <Well, I'm relieved that you feel that way.  I truly am sorry, if it weren't for me your probably wouldn't have ended up in that mess.>  Ossanlin takes the large "floor-cup" that the BT sets in front of him and places it next to the bar, dipping his hoof in and resting it in the liquid.  <If I might ask, what did happen?>

Danika sat over near Keirdan, and rubbed her head against his arm as a cat would. "A young creature such as yourself should not be confined to the indoors. I can take you outside, and keep you safe from whatever dangers the others think may be out there. You can ride on my back." She said. She was beginning to think she might be able to 'borrow' Keirdan for a while. Live, sentient, and willing test subjects could be hard to come by.

*************************

"I'm not trying to hold you down and make you conform to my ideals, Ardiss." Temrash said. "All I want is to help you become a constructive person. Be nice, and make friends. You could start any kind of life you want, at any place you want. But as long as there is an Empire that eliminates rebels, and Andalites that want to kill every member of our race, we need other people to help us. I know you'd probably like me to just go off and make Myitt give your ship back, then send you off with enough supplies for you and Christine to survive for a while. But would that really help in the long run?"

*********************

Asmodee bowed his head in embarassment when Oss asked him how it happened. "I was making for a repair facility to finish fixing my ship. I was contacted by the Yeerks who had hired me, and I told them what was going on. I told them that I was planning on following up on the other job before going back to see what would happen between Temrash and his new allies. They instructed me to stop at a Yeerk repair facility where, if I told them everything that needed fixing, that they would have everything set up and paid for."

"It was a trap. Of course they did make the repairs, but they ambushed me. I must have killed about ten or fifteen Hork-Bajir, but I couldn't escape the room I was in. Eventually they pinned me down, and put that Yeerk in my head. It took me and my ship straight back to this bar, and you know the rest. I knew they wouldn't be happy with me after what happened, but I didn't think they'd risk attacking one of my kind. I can tell you that my people won't be happy with that."

"I think one thing's perfectly clear," Corliss says to Ardiss, looking down at his beer.  "You can't return to the Empire, not unless you're completely mad.  But at the same time, you do have a willing host that you will nevertheless continue to mistreat."  He looks up at her.  "If it were up to me, I'd have you removed from that human girl and sent back to some out of the way pool on the homeworld.  But even if you do acquire another ship, and all of your supplies, where will you go?  How will you make a living?  Eventually you'll need to be in contact with the Skrit Na, or someone who has the ability to barter Kandrona outside of the Empire.  You'll need things to barter with.  Someone with your ambition, it simply doesn't make sense for you to want to go and live peacefully on an island somewhere."  He takes a sip.  "For all we know, you could come back to find us, if the pay is good enough."

"You're really, really not helping, Corliss." Temrash said. "Why don't you go sit with Breekan and talk to him, because your presence in this discussion is not truly needed. How Ardiss is treating Christine will be determines between her and me, when Ardiss is feeding. I am here to help, and not judge. I would like you to either do the same, or leave us to our own devices."

Breekan frowns at Danika's offer to Keirdan. He's not sure what to make of the cat-thing; it works for advanced powers, and clearly has an interest in Keirdan. He pushes his meal to the side, full. "You don't need to worry about looking after Cap'n Hardbones," he tells her. "I'm sure one of us can keep an eye on him."

Danika looked toward Breekan with an innocent expression. She must have been talking loud enough for him to hear. "But I find children more interesting than most older members of their species. They tend to be happier when they are unconfined, though."

Breekan smiles stiffly. "Believe me, if the walls are made from anything less than solid steel Keirdan's not really being confined." He smiles at Keirdan. "Need some fresh air, bro?"
