Kara seems to sag a little, sighing deeply as she shakes herself from the trance she had been in since the battle. She offers Mar a small, sad smile before answering Myitt.

"I can fly it. Probably. Most likely." Kara says doubtfully, but her eyes are distant. There is obviously something else on her mind.

Ardiss, her impatience growing by the hour, stretches and writhes in tight circles around her pool. Waiting....waiting for a promised host that seems long in coming. She bides her time by imagining what cruel things she could do to those who have imprisoned her.

[Chad32]

"You know what? After all this, there seems to be something I forgot. It's in the back of my mind, but I can't quite recall." Temrash said.

"Maybe it will come to you in time." Christine said, and she sat close to him druing the time of rest.

As they looked at each other, it dawned on them at the same time.

"I'll bet Ardiss is none too pleased right now. Even with the possible entertainment she's had in that case." Temrash said.

"Maybe she won't be too spiteful."

"I have an idea. You take Zoshonel's ship, and I'll put it on autopilot. Go and pick up her, Zoshonel, and anyone else who wants a ride. There should be room if we take a few things out." He said, then they began preparations. Once things were set, Christine was off to the rendevous coordinates.

[Gaz]

"We're nearly back at the bar," said Gaz. "If it turns out that 'big thing' is bad news we're gonna head away from there as fast as possible."

"I'm not sure I like the sound of that," Fletcher said.

"Doesn't matter," Gaz replied. "Send Morgan a message so he knows what's up."

[Darth Revan]

"How far are we, Gaz?" Breekan asks. He begins to unfold a hood and gloves from the inside of his suit, though it showed no previous signs of bunching or stuffedness. He opens the hatch on his back to let Keirdan out, pulling the gloves over his hands, though leaving the hood unzipped. "Sis, can you get him?" he asks. He pushes a button next to his collar and fibers shoot from the suit, wrapping around his wings in a seal as light as the air it was impervious to.

Shal reaches into Breekan's back, and pulls out the still sleeping child. She holds him on her lap, staring at him, a disgruntled look on her face.



(Park, sorry, but we are kind of picky. We had problems with someone else doing stuff that started out as that, but quickly turned into controlling someone else's player. Oss gave great suggestions on how to handle it.)

Breekan smiles at his siblings. "We'll be fine, guys. We've just got an extradimensional horror to keep an eye on." He zips his hood up, his face giving way to a completely smooth black hood without eyeholes or a mouth hole, only a blood-red circle with a black splotch in the center.

Inside the suit, Breekan suddenly finds himself in a very different situation. Suspended in green fluid in some of his suit's "borrowed space," he suddenly perceives every sense at once from every surface of the suit. He tastes the unnatural floor of Gaz's ship and sees a quivering upside down kaleidescope from the point of view of his wingtips as they twitch nervously. He sees, tastes and smells himself from every angle, suspended in green fluid in a place where distance doesn't make sense that stretches on forever while still squeezed into the forgotten space between neutrons.

He gets a headache.

The suit's hand reaches up to hastily unzip the hook. "Smack-diddly hotdamn good golly ****!" Breekan's voice screams from nowhere on the suit in particular, before he lets out a strained wail and the suit holds its hands firmly clasped behind its back. Somewhere in the jumble of sensation, Breekan notes that the suit's material tastes like spicy-sour rubber.

Shal watches Breekan zip up the hood, and starts when she hears him yell. Shal unceremoniously dumps Keirdan on the floor, and lunges toward Breekan. She scrabbles hastily to find the zipper on his hood.


Keirdan, jostled from his nap, sits up and stares around the ship. He lets out a loud wail, a confused expression on his face.

Breekan lets out a cry before the zipper comes loose, revealing his head, now covered with green slime. His perception slams back to normal, a billion pieces of data suddenly disappearing, and he falls onto his rear end, gasping. He wrings the grossness out of his fur. "Maybe I'll avoid doing that, then."

[Chad32]

"I really didn't need to see that." Christine said, as she was drawn towards the noise. She walks to Keirdan. "He there, pal. You have a nice nap? Let's go play a game for a little while."

She turned to Breekan. "I heard you talking about taking him to Mar. I'm heading that way, if you want me to take him with me."

Shal tumbles to the floor with Breekan, and lays there sprawled out, covered in gook, staring at her brother. She lets out a soft sigh, as the kid continues to cry.

"First maybe a bath for everybody, though. Hopefully that stuff washes off." Christine says.

Mar glances worriedly at Kara. This feeling bothers him too, but at this point he's decided to give up analyzing it too much. Whatever will be will be.

"Listen, is there something that's on your mind? You can tell me. I can even take it off your shoulders, if you'd like. No one needs feelings that cause them pain. But before that, what ails you?"

Breekan rubs Shal on the shoulder for a moment before picking Keirdan up and kissing him on the forehead. "You'll be okay, Captain, what's the matter?"
