(I know I don't want him to fold on involuntary infestation, but it's kind of hard to argue against voluntary infestation when the person being infested is siding with the Yeerk.)

((By your understanding, sure, but this is a kid that's had nothing but hatred for Yeerks for his whole life, he's had the idea of an Andalite-Controller dyed into his system as fundamentally wrong. But again, it's your character.))

"I know what I'm saying. I'm drunk and definately stupid. But I've been looking for a way to get really close to Visser 3.. " Alic suddenly felt quite sick, and not from the alcohol. What she was doing could possibly save a few people, or make things worse. And what about Ossanlin...? She had only started to understand what they were and it could all be taken away.
"I'll be easier to... work with than your host. What's her name? I'm sure she'd trade places any day."

<You know, I wasn't serious about an Andalite being voluntary, you know. There was still the implication that no andalite would want to be voluntary.>

Alic looks over at the gedd. "I know." And just left it at that. She was hoping this would all be taken care of before Ossanlin came out, he might be able to change her mind and right now she couldn't take that chance.

<Efaen.> Terenia says, <Her name is Efaen.> Terenia glances at Parker, then to Claxter and Puk. She is honestly taken aback by this turn of events, and unsure how to respond.

<I do not feel comfortable taking control of you, not in this state.> Terenia says, slowly, wondering if she is making a stupid mistake of her own. <The first few months with Efaen were hell on Earth, because she was being held against her will. After five years we have learned to almost tolerate one another. I cannot go back to having someone shouting obscenities in my head every day. I would...> Terenia hesitates, <I would consider your offer, but I cannot take it immediately.>

<Do not be a fool, Terenia,> Efaen warns inside her head, <This is a chance to get rid of some of that guilt you harbor by controlling me.>

<You're just being short-sighted because you might get a taste of freedom.> Terenia responds. <You realize that you might be condemning this Andalite to death? She has been at this bar much longer than we have. Who's to say how well she knows what she is saying? She may wake up in the morning oblivious to what she has allowed enter her mind.>

<Pity?> Efaen asks in mock surprise, <from you?>

<I do not enjoy what I do, Efaen.>

((sorry for the blow up in posts... im going to give other people who havent been on a chance to reply before anythign really happens.))

"Efaen. I hope we can get you out of there. Terenia, look. I know what I'm saying. But if you must think it over, fine. Don't leave until we speak, please?"
Alic wondered if Terenia would take her up on the offer, or if maybe she was just drunk and would regret this? Of course she didn't want to have that thing in her head. But if it meant she could make a difference... Well.. She would have to wait and see, and probably explain herself to Ossanlin since Terenia wanted to wait.

Morgan was still looking at the picture of his wife, when Asda walked slowly back into the bar. Her lower hands were keeping hold on her side as she carefully made her way over to the seat.

When Morgan saw her coming, he jumped up and went over to her.

"What are you doing out here?" Morgan demanded. "You need to be resting."

"Are you the doctor, or am I?" Asda replied with a smile. "You really shouldn't be alone right now."

Morgan nodded gratefully and helped Asda over to a seat.

Asda looked at the picture of Andromeda and said, "She was beautiful. I wish I could have gotten to know her better."

Corliss smiles over at Asda as she walks in, glad that she seems to be doing well--but the bar has erupted in activity, and he pays close attention as Terenia and then Alic storm out of the place.  In fact, most of the bar seems to have walked out.

<Something tells me we should go out there,> says Corliss tersely, sliding off the bar seat.  <Alic's drunk.   I'd hate to see this end poorly.>

<I don't reckon anyone's in the proper state of mind to make any decisions, mate,> Mike says, clearly disgusted and confused.

Corliss walks to the door and watches the shouting match by Terenia's ship, leaving the door ajar.

When Alic pleads a second time for Terenia to consider taking Alic as her host, he steps outside, Dracon drawn but held down at his side.

"Alic, you have no idea what you're doing," Corliss says firmly, almost angrily, walking over to them.  "Terenia might not even be from the same world as us.  What if you're giving up your freedom to save Terenia's host Efaen, only to find out that her version of Alloran-Semitur-Corass already has a daughter--and it's not you?  Even if she is from the same world, how can you do this?"  His tone softens a bit, and he takes a few more steps over to the little group, standing amongst them.  "You've been drinking, and I know you want to see your father, but this just isn't a wise decision."

Terenia took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. She feels somewhat more comfortable in her Andalite form, but she is still acutely aware of the danger she is in. One hand drifts down to her Dracon, just in case.
<I agree with Corliss, Aliciana. However, if you still wish for me to infest you, when you are sober and have had time to consider the weight of your decision, I will...consider freeing Efaen.>

To Claxter she adds, <You really should work out what is allowable and what isn't. There is a man back in that bar who just shot another man, executed him after rendering him weaponless. Yet he is being left alone and I am bring treated like a witch on her burning day>

"Let's say you do this, Alic. Are you going to morph Efaen for when Terenia speaks to him, or make an excuse for why she has a different host? I think the former would be safer."

<She isn't even sober. I suppose she's that desparate to get her father back, though.>

<I was going to try to defend Cavan, but he comes from a corrupt government and swore to come back with a larger force. There wasn't much else to do with him. I don't think you're a witch. I'm trying to help you as well as Efaen. I just won't pretend it's acceptable to hold an involuntary host for self-centered reasons. Or just to keep another involuntary host alive when there's surely little happiness in her current existance.>

Keshin and Joanne watch in bewilderment as nearly half the Bar leaves to stop Terenia. As Corliss begins to leave, Keshin reaches out his hand to stop him, but Corliss does not see him and is gone quickly. Keshin sags a bit at the loss of opportunity.

<Oh, come on. It all happened too fast!>

<Maybe we should jus' give up, Kess.>

<....maybe you're right, hun. This place is a madhouse. We probably couldn't fight anyone in here without the long-lost half-Yeerk daughter of Elfangor showing up. Or something equally ridiculous.>

<...I'm not exactly normal, either.>

<Yes, but at least we don't cause all this trouble.>

Keshin blinks as he sees Alic leave the Bar. She usually doesn't join in on these incidents. He'll have to wait and see what comes of it.
